The young bucks having to answer to Vince will be amazing.

The pro wrestling industry would not be dying a quiet death if this came to pass.  Those locker room dynamics would be like Mt. Vesuvius exploding and everyone fleeing for their lives.

  2. Word from CNBC is that the Khans are looking to merge AEW with WWE and give Vince some kind of executive role where he can satisfy all his control freak cravings.

If you thought the scene was dire after WWF bought WCW and ECW, this dwarf that many times over. Your #2 promotion at that point is GCW and MLW and it'd be an insurmountablly distant second.

So Vince pulling a coup d'etat may not be the case?

No, I think he's still doing that, but he's floating rumors around and then looking at who on the roster says "if this happens I'm done" and then he goes "well don't worry you won't be here anyway even if it doesn't" and goes on a firing spree.

  4. For any fans of WWE Day of Reckoning 2, the guys in charge of the OST A Dark Halo is active again and making new music. if you're a fan of Mick Gordan's solo stuff or Fear Factory, this may be the band for you.

A few years ago they remixed their classic album that has all the DoR2 tunes

    And here's their new shit

I think he's probably misread your tweet, but pointless drama like this is why I've left the fgc at large behind. It's a bunch of drama queens who think they're the center of the universe and who often barely play. I still rep the SamSho community, but stupid Twitter garbage has become more important than the games for a lot of "fgc" people. As someone in my 40s, it feels like hanging with a bunch of children a lot of the time.

It feels way worse in poverty/non-Capcom/Namco legacy scenes than anywhere else. I didn't realize how uniquely bad it is until I joined Freshcut (and no they don't do NFTs, I asked them that directly when they first caught wind of this mess after I announced I joined them and got put on blast by this clique) and met non-FGC creators that our crab in a bucket mentality is worlds above any other gaming circle. They still have problems in those circles, plenty of documentation about misogyny, homophobia, racism out there, but they had never seen such a vitriolic reaction in their lifetime just for announcing they got the call to rep with their games.

My cameo in TMNTxJL was removed over this but as long as they not touch the stuff I put money and labor into and credit me appropriately, we can wash our hands of each other and go our separate ways as I make that push for an EVO stage exhibition for SFxT. I joined them specifically with that on my mind because the window for me doing that with Vortex Gallery (who as far as I know control all the grassroots events at EVO from now on) was obviously closed because they were still mad about me holding them accountable for their lateness, rudeness, lack of contingency/respect for time etc. Imagine how all of this could have been avoided had they understood (and this was the point of my original post) that when you're in that position you're in line to take blame as well as credit regardless of how much you're paid or not paid for it.  They demonize me for yelling at volunteers, like that excuses you from doing a shitty job as if I'm not volunteering too.

I feel like there's a lot of interpersonal drama going on there I don't know enough about to comment on.

Who is he talking about? I will say these dudes on Twitter need to stop making vague accusations and start dropping names cuz this kinda shit

    Is helping no one.

So a while back I alluded to a TON of problems I had with Vortex Gallery + problems other presented to me, but I didn't expect such a ridiculous kinship.  I'm a licensed mental health professional, and even if some of the stuff that was presented to me was fruitless, I had receipts for everything that I brought to the next level so it's not like I'd take any heat beyond their immediate circle.

Anyway I hope this guy puts his grandparents to rest. With James he's been hinting about having some kind of dirt on CEO which would make sense given how defensive Kenny Omega got when he had a sex offender turn up at the CEO show as a job guy, but he's been hinting for years.  James is still the bro, though, I always enjoy his stories of the era gone by while working at Acclaim and Midway.

  7. The Suns are garbage again so it's back to focusing on FGC stuff. Today I'm going to purchase my tickets to Capcom Cup as the hotel and flight are already accounted for.

With the end of 2022 comes the resolution for 2023: SFxT on one of the big EVO stages again now that I've proven time and time again that when given the same platform as other games it will shine when it comes to viewcounts. It's unrealistic to ask for a tournament on that stage but I can definitely do an exhibition and I've already picked out who would be a part of it.

To accomplish this, I am partnered with Freshcut and Matcherino. A few months back I showed you guys the tweet of the hand-biters getting mad that I dared to dream bigger than the tail end of the BYOC area for the game that allowed me to weather the worst parts of my adult life, but with 2023 in view I'm going to share with you guys a long-winded DM I got on FB on that same topic. I omitted his name which is more than what he's done for me on the public spaces, but maybe he'll get some sense in his maligned head between now and next EVO and realize what I'm doing is for the sake of "the mission" that I mentioned above.

I now present to you guys...THE 99 THESES!

    Spider-man's Greatest Moments:

Arguably the end of the "classic" Spider-man era, this issue brings us the most popular villain outside of the Lee/Ditko/Romita era. (for good or ill)

    "Venom"  (ASM 300)   (1988)

(I have this image  as a refrigerator magnet.)

Why is it the "end of an era"?

    3 reasons.

    1) Pete and MJ are recently married (It happened in at 1987 annual but in ASM chronology it was just a few issues ago.

    2) Todd McFarlane's run just started in #298 and will redefine Spidey visually for the next decade. Having him draw the debut of Venom will only make this clear that this Image era is beginning.

    3) IMO, the decline of story relative to art begins here in the Spider-titles.

Venom spooks MJ and forces them to move to a new apt.

Pete gets the sonic blaster and thinks his spidey-sense will protect him from the alien, but..

Apparently, Brock's origin is tied into the serial killer known as Sin-Eater who killed Capt. Jean DeWolff and others.

He reported that Emil Gregg was the murderer, but as the story showed, Gregg was a disturbed man who only thought he was sin-Eater.

When spidey/DD revealed that the real killer was Stan Carter, Brock was fired and forced to write about  celebrity"  drivel.

Brock decided to commit suicide in the Lady of Saints church when suddenly...

Brock webs Spidey to a bell clapper intending to squash him, but Spidey ingeniously gets him to use up all his webbing that is generated by the symbiote.

After dropping off Venom at FF HQ, MJ and Pete decide that the black costume is not the side he wishes to show the world and so...

It's still wild to me that it took this long for Marvel to come up with a Bizarro Spider-man and find sustained success. Originally that was going to be the Scorpion and then they jobbed him out double-time. Then it was the Tarantula and he never went anywhere. There was the clone that later became Ben Reilly but the less said on that, the better (and now he's one of the top heels, go figure).

What the fuck is this fucking Vikings team?

They are the Dark Phoenix team of the NFL. Kirk and these comebacks the offense pulls off after the defense makes it as difficult as possible for them to climb out of the early deficit are giving me strong Tebow Time vibes.

And to be honest, if the Eagles somehow shit the bed before they face off in the playoffs, I'd be super worried if I'm any other NFC team because they might flip the script on you at just the right time and then you're memed on for years and years, just like Matt Ryan deservedly needs to be after letting this happen on his end. In fact he needs to retire and go into witness protection.

  10. DC making yet another mistake as they try to fix them. I heard they want Momoa as Lobo which may be a good idea on paper, but the bullet has been fired and all that's going to do is remind viewers of their past failures. You can't play the Chris Evans/Josh Brolin card because DC has always been under the same house. You pretty much need a Crisis movie if you want to go this direction and for that you need Cavill as Superman. Then with him as the 'eye of the storm' you can have Momoa as Aquaman in one scene and then as Lobo in the other, like in the JL cartoon where Jon Stewart suddenly turned into Hal Jordan due to the timelines falling apart and then back again.
