watch as Capcom updates only the PC version of xTekken but refuses to rerelease it on current consoles. The PS3 port is fucking unplayable and has a dead online

I was somewhat okay with Sub-Zero being in Injustice but then they also decided to add Raiden and I was like... motherfuckers, your DLC seasons have FOUR characters and you decide to spend another slot on an MK guest. Fucking really? And then they had the guts to include TMNT in the roster.

    THE NINJA TURTLES

    IN A FIGHTING GAME

ABOUT DC SUPER HEROES AND VILLAINS

    WHY

The INJ2  TMNT are far and beyond my least favorite versions of them in any fighting game

  2. SFxT popped off again yesterday on Arturo's channel. I heard a murmur that one of the holdups to Capcom fixing it on Steam is that they want to remake the whole netcode for a Steam Deck port rather than the bandaid that I showed the brass at Capcom Cup, but I have my people looking to get an official word from Capcom. My hope is that it's back up or close to being back up on the Steam Store (you can still buy global keys off Gamestop but you'd need to patch it afterwards to get it to work on Windows 10/11) by the time I do my 10th anniversary exhibition at EVO.

FGC twitter was spicy yesterday. They did a general "what FGC opinion would have you like this" with the Rapunzel meme and it was mostly people throwing shade at the cliques who make things lousy for everyone not into it. One name from the VSav community kept popping up which made me laugh.

Oh yeah I watched the first 2 seasons of that Netflix abomination, and I couldn't stomach watching any further ones  (I think there was one more). Didn't mind Shun's gender swap aside from the fact that they changed nothing else about the character, so why even bother LOL.

But at least the Netflix series had all the Bronze Saints, where the hell are they in this movie? If they plan to introduce all in the last act of the movie, I'm gonna get pissed (not that I plan to watch it, in theatres at least)

Shun's gender swap pissed me off for that exact reason: it was basically hindsight saying "pink isn't a boy's color and he's not outwardly brave enough so we're going to make him a girl because girls are supposed to act and dress that way!"

Shun is one of my faves exactly because he's the runt of the group, and while he may not be as eager to fight as the others, he'll do what needs to be done because he was taught to face his fears. They could have doubled down on how he had June waiting for him at home if they really wanted to play up his masculinity to match the rest of the team.

I also kinda cringe when it seems to be aiming for just a 1-on-1 confrontation between Seiya and Ikki (although I heard a rumor that he's now called Nero? LOL GTFO). So no Hyoga? No Shiryu? No Shun? Seriously how can you have Ikki without Shun?

Also Sean Bean and Famke Janssen are clearly showing their "I'm just here for the paycheck" moods

Not that I would recommend that crap to anyone, but if you really want a spoiler alert for what this story is going for, check out the Netflix adaptation because that was made around the same time the film started getting made and it was clear that the script for the Netflix arc was what the script for this film is going for.

Shiryu was named Long, Hyoga is now Magnus, and Shun is now a girl named Shaun. Yes, Shaun is still in love with June. And yes, if you thought Ikki being attracted to his master's daughter because she reminded him of Shun was weird before, it's even weirder now.

That movie is giving off DB Evolution vibes

The Stones of the Flop Gauntlet have been assembled

    1) Been in development hell for several years with a large number of rejected scripts

    2) Immense lack of marketing despite impending release date

    3) Riding the coattails of a more popular franchise (MCU)

    4) setting up sequels before the original is even out

    5) generic orchestra music in trailer

That being said, the garbage Netflix series which this film seems to be based off of already braced me for the parts of the story that will offend me as a longtime fan, and there are certain parts of this film like the quality of the Cloths that look way better than I was initially expecting.  Unfortunately, it's an uphill battle that Toei is climbing and they'll likely lose in trying to get this franchise to reach the nearly delusional ambitions that Toei's executives apparently have.

I have begged for a Saint Seiya Tokusatsu for YEARS because it's an anime that would lend itself almost seamlessly to the medium, but this is racing towards the same one-and-done failure that 2017 Power Rangers suffered. I actually liked that movie as a Rangers fan despite the glaring flaws like barely any Ranger action which is what anyone is going to watch PR for, but it was easy to see why it didn't get a second chance.

They're probably hoping to fool normies into thinking this is a Nova Corps movie and Shura in the trailer is a Loki variant LOL

  6. Capcom's esports manager got back to me last Friday and said she's forwarding my SFxT Steam fix through the proper channels to get some movement going. "No promises," she added, but having someone like that on my contact list should definitely come in handy not only to periodically poke at whoever covers that, but get my Street Fighter 6 event organizer ambitions a leg up. Capcom Cup was certainly productive in many ways.

Really doubt eyes ones are eyebags, in SF3 depending on artist seems either scars (Kinu in some pieces) like shoulder marks or (Ikeno and some other from Kinu ones) everything seem pro-wrestling paint (possibly paint over existing scars)

Btw whole red eyes/shoulders marks thing was to seek the Devilman look, almost every SF3 char wink at a different anime char lol

The strap lines as well as the eyeliner really make me think of Alex, and it's probably why his Halloween swap was such a perfect fit

@PsychoblueI can't disagree with anything you said fam.

I'm sure you've peeped all  the shit people talk about me on the socials for joining Freshcut (which doesn't even do crypto anymore) so you understand what I'm about to say comes from experience.

People get fired for all sorts of reasons, but the FGC has some illusion in their minds that if you're fired it should only be because you deserve it because you did something unforgivable. This Arturo stuff sounds like "we told you not to do it, you did it anyway, GGs" but acting like he's OMGitzAndre is not the wave. And I told Arturo when this first happened that even though I was going to pause our VOD deal until this is resolved and blown over, I would always remember all he did for me and my scene. I would not be in the position I'm in now to push SFxT as a main EVO exhibiiton if not for Arturo. I wish people would remember all the good hes' done rather than seeing this as an opportunity to try and erase his entire legacy. The damage that would do to the FGC would be irreparable.

FTX guy wasn't following his own TOS. Arturo didnt follow TOS either. So the situation there is a bit more straightforward. Arturo broke TOS a million times. Doing so made a mess of the accounting and now we're on a second situation: Did he take pocket money he wasn't supposed to or are the lost numbers stuff eaten by fees/taxes?

The fees and taxes question is just a clusterfuck at that point. People gotta bring receipts (of which there should be plenty since its all digital). So that's on Matcherino's end to audit as much as possible and then provide some type of statement.

Afterwards we have the situation of the people who accused Arturo of taking money/bad work ethic. Bad work ethic he admitted to on his own stream. The ones who said he was thieving though, that's a whole different situation because if they made some baseless claims that made Art lose money....there might be grounds for an actual defamation case.

    Goofy clusterfuck.

Yeah this is what confused me when this all started. When Arturo allegedly said it takes 30-60 days to pay out, that was absolutely not true, so yes he did break TOS a bunch of times and he should've been fired for that from Matcherino. But when I did my personal audit, I confirmed that all my players got paid either through Matcherino or through Arturo paying them out through Paypal. People get fired from jobs, but the FGC has a very real problem with not being able to differentiate fire-worthy offenses from ban-worthy ones.

As long as there are receipts that all offended parties within the FGC outside of Matcherino have been settled up with, then there's no reason Arturo can't continue being a streamer or tech guy, just with no involvement with prize pools.
