It's not exactly the same, yet it's similar; because it can be viewed from either perspective. 

Kinda like there's a difference between having money and keeping money. Ye supposedly has a billion dollar fortune ($1.8 billion according to Google), yet he bootlegs OF content from reddit. Given his "celebrity" status, and the fact that he more than likely makes more money than any of us in a lifetime picking up a penny off the ground; there has to be some inherent level of financial control he exercises. 

Now take doing the same thing, from the perspective of being broke. Hell, that's most of us nowadays; myself included. 

Tl;dr: Perspective (and the matter of perception) matters more than you think.

I can add a fourth to the list. 

Fat of the Land was one of those albums for me in my mid-20s. Absolute banger of an album, with really no bad tracks to speak of. 


So, things have been pretty busy for me with work as of late, and we're in our slow season right now. Around Thanksgiving is when hours should pick up again, as more people will travel by car during the holidays this year due to airline issues; and we'll be busy well into 2022.

I had picked up a previous generation Apple TV, but that ended up having to go back to Best Buy ☹️

Tickets secured for AEW on December 15th in suburban Dallas. I didn't get ringside quick enough, but I've got seats on the floor.
 
edit: Total for the seat and parking was around $115.

My inherent issue with something like this:

Who am I fucking kidding, Nintendo will drip drip drip feed the fuck out of N64 and MD/Genesis games as long as people aren't the wiser and are oblivious to their attempt to bilk customers out of their money. Also the people who buy into the year sub with the ACNH DLC are stupid dumb, and have more money than sense.

FWIW, I'll keep my $60 for 3 years worth of NSO over 1 year of the horseshit they're currently selling, any day. In fact, I think my NSO sub from pre-pandemic is supposed to run out very soon; and I'm not renewing right away because outside of Shmups and Metroid Dread; my Switch is not really used, and is currently ever-so-close to heading to the storage unit to never see the light of day again. 

I would be excited for this game, but it's Gearbox. After the crap fest that was Borderlands 3's "first" launch on PC, and the CEO being the world's biggest magical douchebag; I'm passing on this shit unless it either goes less than $40 for a preorder on PC; or goes on deep discount within 3 months after release.

Gearbox, for me; went from where I'd buy pretty much all of their games day juan, to fucking deep discount city.

I took a extended break after the new Melty Blood game launched, mainly because work was super busy. Now we're getting into slow season for my client, and I'm waiting for the right time just to crack out on FGs again.

People are fiending in general for electronics, so the new ATI card will be scalped all to hell.

I am. I also have the updated fix from Microsoft that will be released tomorrow that solves the L3 Cache issue.

That being said, normally this would be the time of day where I would have posted the video from the event this afternoon. At this point, the livestream is still going with Apple ... getting into crypto? Apple (as a company) has bought the equivalent of a metric fuckton of Bitcoin and Etherium, and are simply giving it away. I believe this may also warrant a thread title change.

At $50 a year for this, NSO is now (in my eyes) up there with Playstation Plus and Game Pass Ultimate from XBox; and it was decidedly easy to not buy into this bullshit. Yes, I'd love to play Gunstar Heroes; but I'm not paying a year up front if I'm not gonna use the service on a regular basis (outside of having cloud saves/getting circle camped in Smash Ultimate).

My daughter-in-law works as a CNA helping kids out, and right before Ol' Wheelchair Ass banned vaccine mandates here in Texas (and is probably gonna get run over by Biden driving a monster truck in court); she was told she had 15 days to get at least one vaccine jab or her job was gonna fire her ass. She was decidedly anti-vaccine, but being threatened with losing everything (and me threatening to not watch our grandkids until she got it) put that shit into perspective really quick.
