My 5 year old twins have watched The Good Place from premier to finale about 40 times, so I just got around to asking one of them how she would solve The Trolley Problem.

She said:  "I would just stop the trolley."

I started to watch the anime of One Piece. Then I realized how many episodes that actually is.

I know Cuba is a whole other culture, but I have a Cuban sister-in-law and her social media stream is a seamless blend of touching family photos of relatives I never get to see in person, and thirst traps.

It makes checking Facebook deeply weird sometimes.

Indians and Pakistanis both have always called India Bharat. It's pronounced buh-hah-rut. Would be a pretty good change, in my opinion!

The state Supreme Court ruled recently that a law abolishing cash bail was constitutional, the Hill reported, noting the law is titled the Illinois Pretrial Fairness Act.
    The outlet continued:

It seems the government of India wants to change it's official name back to Bharat

Sup ya. So my 1 year contract here in Qatar will soon be at an end. Oct 17th is my last day in country. I have mixed feelings about the job. But the experience overall was mind opening and I stacked some real cash. Traveling overseas will definitely be part of my life style.

I have a job lined up with Envoy air out in Phoenix. But I'll be in Dallas for my 6 weeks of orientation and training. Then head to Phoenix to work. Envoy opened up a new line maintenance base in Phoenix in 2022. So they're on a hiring spree. So this is a golden opportunity to get on with a regional airliner. That'll then get me on with their parent company. American Airlines. So @RSG3 sounds like we'll be able to have some drinks man.

Gotta figure out the logistics for moving back out there. Got car shipping quotes. And moving quotes for my things. I'm thinking I'll have to get a place set up in Phoenix first before training and setting up the move. So the movers have a place to deliver my things and car. I'm excited about this.

That's the good news. But the sad news. It sounds like my neice isn't gonna make it. She fought her battle against DIPG the best she could. With so much positivity. But even with all the chemo and radiation. And drugs. It kept growing back. I over hear her talking with my mom. And she sounded  slurred like a drunk. But she's only 10 man. And she's going blind in an eye. Losing motor function again.

I don't want to see her like that. I feel bad I wasn't there for the event my family threw for her. I wished my brother, her father. Followed up with the doctor I told him about in Germany. Who does the treatment where they use a vaccine to boost the immune system to fight the tumor. But he never followed up.

Sorry for the long post. But yeah. Lot of things going on for me. But a 10 year old girl's life is soon to be cut short. 10 years fuking old man.....That lil girl tougher than me when I was her age. I don't know how I'd cope with it. She still out there living, smiling, loving and playing until the end.

Okay, the most important thing I can tell you here is that the best gifts are bespoke as fuck.

The two best gifts I've given significant others:

My wife got her undergrad degree as an English major, and had one paper she wrote for it on an obscure play published in an academic journal.  The gift was that I discovered a scholarly book on that genre of plays that actually cited her paper.  I gave her the book and the explanation about it for her birthday one year.

The other best gift, for an ex I bought from NASA a piece of a meteorite that fell to earth on the day she was born.

I did fuck-all in highschool unless I wanted to.  Wish I could say that was liberating, but mostly I was just seriously depressed.

Then I grew up, realized how bored I was working shit jobs, and got a STEM degree at a major research university.  Basically went the full 180 from none of my time on homework to ALL of my time on homework, lol.
