I'm holding out for a Canadian team to make it to the finals. The Leafs losing in overtime of game 7 still stings a little, especially since I live in Boston now lol

The Leafs losing stung but it's happened so many times now I'm used to it.  I'm throwing all my support behind Edmonton now.

Reading combo threads in 2007 be like:

    cr.fierce /\ j.jab, j.strong, j.fierce xx air s1 \/ jab, strong, fierce, df.hp /\ j.strong, j.fierce, air s2, BT Tag, cr.fierce, cr.s1, Tag, dash /\ j+d.[H] xx super

Perfect.  I don't have to stop and think every 2 seconds about what I'm reading.

The great thing about this is that most of the people going to major aren't seriously and will vote for fun.

So we are bound to see some really salty "pros" after the tournament.

Godspeed to them, cuck these fools out of an old patch.

I think some players will definitely complain but that's just the fgc for ya haha.

I did notice Shine is in favour of letting the new patch rock and he's definitely one of the contenders to win.

I don't think being on the old or new patch will have any effect on who is viewing.  People will tune in regardless.

Personally, I have 0 interest in watching an old version of a game when a newer version just came out.  People will be excited to see maybe some newer characters and or early meta changes instead of the same old stuff we've been watching for a year.

Playing with the newer patch and also with Akuma will definitely affect viewership imo.

The man is a whore. He says whichever SF is the newest is the best one. He was yapping it up about SF5 when asked about it.

You know the man is trolling.

    😂

I noticed a lot of the Japanese players usually answer <whatever the current SF is> as one of their top games.  My guess is it helps with motivation or something.

You can't just nerf v-ism. It'd either have to become even shorter duration wise or make combos scale so much it's not even worth using, at which point you might as well remove the mechanic entirely.

Alpha 3 becomes a better game when players straight up don't use it and pick the other two isms

You can do it easily. Just get rid of crouch cancel infinite's and you've significantly nerfed Vism.

Could do smaller nerfs as well like reducing the guard gauge, adding scaling, increasing cost of activation, etc. Lot of things Capcom could have done.

Yeah they could re-imagine it in whatever way

Maybe as Level 2 Super (where lot have an install) that make her gradually recover health little by little up to let's say 33% and can be stopped successfully hitting her... still powerful help but not as dominant as SF4

Level 2 Super makes sense, could potentially also have it recover drive meter. To be honest though, even if she didn't have the healing mechanic it would be fine by me. Something about healing in a fighting game makes people super salty for some reason 😂

I'm really hoping Dudley and Elena return

Elena would be cool. If she made it, I'm sure they wouldn't have the healing mechanic work the way it did in SF4.  So far SF6 has excelled at character redesigns.  Somehow they even managed to make Ed really awesome.

Gonna find the post where I said JP being able to level 3 you from full screen was dumb shit so the non-believers can appreciate my gift of "sight."

    That said, Rashid deserves it.

Not that I'm ever cheering for JP but have to give props for anyone escaping a level 2 Rashid situation.  I'm usually taking damage 90% of the time.  And for him to not only escape the mixups but end in level 3 is godlike.
