    Even if I give Capcom the benefit of the doubt and assume they are saving the real SFV heavy hitters like Laura and Menat to drive sales in later seasons…you gonna sit here and tell me Ed is better than G? Kolin? Fem Seth? Zeku?

    I feel like they knew people would buy the season 1 pass with the game regardless of characters. The only super popular character is Akuma being the big seller at the end. 

     

    Capcom is saving the good stuff but at only 4 characters a year I'm legit worried that some of my favourites aren't going to make it to 6. Thank god for Jamie but I would like to play another character at some point.

    The general FG playerbase being what it is, the only way to prevent that from happening is to basically lock people out. This is what's more or less happening now and dudes are hating it.

    I was just comparing 5 to 6.  There's a shit ton of people playing 6 right now to where I'm only getting matched with people within 200-300 MR of myself.  With SFV's matchmaking I'd be fighting 2000+ MR Legends.

    Yeah, the problem with SFV's rank system was lack of players at the higher ranks.  Hard to make consistent gains when one minute I'm fighting a wild Diamond Kage and then next match I'm fighting Punk.  It's like, what is this lol?

    Me too.  The best SFV moment was when they revealed Arcade Edition and then showed the entire season 3 roster after Capcom Cup.  Was like an early Christmas present.

    Best way to deal with modern players is to never jump.  If they're playing a DP character they will AA every time.  I just stopped jumping entirely, even stopped divekicking and my success rate went way up.  Also at the end of the round they'll start moving back and forth doing nothing, baiting you to do something first so they can instant super.  Just chill and let them come to you.

    Yeah, he's really just classic Guile - amazing buttons, sonic boom and flash kick are godlike but he doesn't seem to have a lot of flashy stuff outside of SA2.  Maybe they could give him something in season 2 that would make him more interesting.  Even his SFV version had some more sauce.

    I always defended SFV's netcode because it wasn't nearly as bad as people made it out to be.  In Master rank in SF6, roughly 30% of my matches are wifi users, which to me at that rank-  is crazy high.  Like, how many of these peeps were blaming the netcode in SFV when it was probably just their connection.
