  1. I noticed the wording on those using the Danger Room in X-Men '97 episode 3 is green. Maddy's powers are also color coated green. So maybe that was Maddy's powers at work screwing with Gambit. That or...

    Spoiler

Rogue is really getting her back blown out by Magneto for 2 hours every day.

  2. X-Men '97 episode 3

    Spoiler

Goblin Queen went to WORK on the X-Men. Had those MFs in real house of horrors.

Cyclops shooting Bishop and then Bishop just going HAM on those demons was PEAK.

Magneto got cut up so much, you think he was in an issue of Wolverine.

We have no idea when Sinister switched Maddy for Jean. I thought it might be during Beyond good and Evil but it could have been even before that.

Bishop taking Baby Nathan to the future? Maaaan, he better be back for the 3 part finale.

That collection of X-Men HC, TBPs and omnibuses... it's beautiful, man.

My first Marvel Omnibus was Uncanny X-Men vol. 1, I still have it sealed. I've been collecting the Epic Collections to save some cash but I occasionally spring for those omnibus books when I can. I've got a couple other Marvel Omnibuses: Untold Tales of Spider-Man, Jack Kirby's Captain America run, Roger Stern's Amazing Spider-Man run and Ed Brubaker's first omni on Captain America.

  4. So I picked up the House of X/Powers of X TPB because it was discounted off Amazon. This is the Krakoan X-Men era, right? After reading this book, where would I go for the other X books in this era? The reading order sounds kinda confusing.

I've been reading the Stan Lee/Jack Kirby OG X-Men run. Magneto is a straight up villain in these books.

I was also surprised to see Astreroid M show up this early in the X-Men history. I was for certain that was part of the Chris Clermont run, but nope, it was used as early as 1960s X-Men #5.

  5. I rewatched the first two eps of X-Men '97. I caught a lot of stuff I missed on the first viewing.

    Spoiler

Remember when Wolverine made Cyclops a convertable in the original show? Jean returns the favor here, unintentional as it was.

Also Rogue when catching her falling teammates. "Another catch the X-Men day."

  6. The fight scenes in the first two episodes of X-Men '97 are GODLIKE. They are really putting that budget to excellent use. Cyclops is a BAMF here.

There is one scene in episode 2 where Magneto shows that he is HIM and it just screams, "Behave, humans."

The OG VAs are doing a superb job. Storm is as hammy as ever and I would not have it any other way. These VAs are the voices I hear when I'm reading X-Men comics.

  7. I never got to play Doom back in the day so Star Wars: Dark Forces was a real treat for me. The Remaster was not something I was expecting to see done. From what I hear, a TON of TLC went into making the Dark Forces Remaster. I'm hoping it gets a physical release on Switch.

I went to check the file size for Star wars Battle Front on the eShop and that MF is a whopping 33+ GIGS!!!

  8. Shinmoneta is HILARIOUS. Been some years since I've watched it.

Cat-Eyed Boy is a managa that sparked my interest when I spotted the first hardcover at my book store. The old-school art intrigued me so I picked it up. the whole series is collected in two volumes. I think this is the first I've ever heard of Kazuo Umezz, but it seems horror managa is his specialty. I'm not big into the genre of horror but I decided to take a chance on Cat-Eyed Boy. Another one of his works I picked up is My Name is Shingo, which is more sci-fi.

  9. Cavern of Dreams takes me back to N64 platformers. Exploring areas and finding eggs is so much friggin' fun.

Dead End City and Xelan Force are my latest SHMIUP pick ups. Dead End City is currently on sale on the eShop. I also managed to cop Rolling Gunner: Collector's Edition physical for a nice price off Amazon. It includes Overpower.

  10. I attempt another Side Oder run in Splatoon 3 using Marie's palette, which is the Splat Charger.

Me: I'm gonna stack a bunch of fast charge chips and turn this into a Grizzco Charger.

I didn't find a single fast charge chip. Not. A. One. I'm also not a charger main so the last floor was ROUGH. I did complete the run, but it became more frustrating than fun. Hard to ink the ground when your weapon isn't the best at it and you keep getting swarmed. Even with damage increase on my load out, my non charged shots weren't that great.
