  1. I finished my 2nd run of Side Order, using Shiver's Pallet. I was just gonna see how far I could get, but I ended up clearing the whole thing without losing any lives.

Mario vs. Donkey Kong isn't the DK remake I wanted (Donkey Kong GB '94 is the GOAT DK game) but it is still plenty fun. The original 2004 release was a pretty solid GBA game so I'm happy more people are gonna be able to enjoy it with a fresh coat of paint. It is interesting that, rather than Pauline, Mario is risking his bacon for some toys. From the business side of things, I can understand it. That's how he's making dat cheddah. As someone with a sizeable collection of Trasnsformers, plushies and such, I totally see where Mario is coming from.

He's probably also saving a ton of cash by reclaiming those stolen toys instead of just making new ones. But hey, Mario's risking his own skin for the toys rather than the safety, labor and mental health of his works. So that already makes him INFINITELY better as a businessman than real MFs at the craft.

J's been going through Classic Mega Man. I was surprised to find out year's later the Doc Robot stages were something players took issues with. I always just rolled with it. Also, J saying he prefers MM3 over MM2 music is something I was not expect but I'm here for it. Sure to get under some MM2 fans, I'm sure.

  3. FINAL FANTASY VI Pixel Remaster. Got my first four espers, so others can start learning magic. In past play throughs of FFVI, I would try to teach everyone magic. I've since learned that some characters are better with magic than others. That said those stat increases for level up bonses like 10+ from Siren will be useful for even the non magic adept characters.

  4. I need to finish Castlevania. Def one of the best things on Netflix and just a freaking amazing adaptation of a video game IP.

I'm picking up manga before work on Tuesday and see the first book for Magic Knight Rayearth. Never saw the anime back in the day but am aware of it's popularity. Decided to pick it up and ordered book 2 off Amazon. Guess I'll see what the fuss was all about but I'm already loving that old-school artwork.

  5. Diablo III: Eternal Collection. Paragon level 100+. Playing on Master difficulty now. Doesn't feel too tough. But that Greater Rift I took on was kinda nuts. Died 3 times, including a death to the Rift Guardian. I go in there thinking I'm hot ish and those demons show me that I'm next in line for Fraud Watch. I came out on top eventually, but that Greater Rift was definitely a wake up call of what is to come once I eventually switch the difficulty to Torment.

F-ZERO 99: I was tired when I went into King League thinking I would get ranked out in the third or 4th race like I usually do. But to my surprise, I made it all the way through and finally got to race on Fire Field. I remember this track being so much more difficult back in the day. It didn't seem nearly as hard here.

  6. Diablo III: Eternal Collection: Maaaaaaaan, I know the Demon Hunter was my first class choice in this game but daaaaang, if it isn't one of the sweetest ones. I'm just throwing my own builds together with the equipment I find to see what I like best and I'm loving it. This character went from a level 1 scrub to a level 63 power house. Dual wielding, arrow rain, freezing and slowing enemies. I racked up a 102 kill streak for the first time ever. Baby numbers to a DIII pro, I'm sure but for a noob like me? GODLIKE.

I cannot believe I owned DIII for years and didn't sink this much time in it until now. They knew what they were doing when they put this game on Switch. I'm gonna have 1000 plus hours into this game before 2024 is out.
