  1. The dialogue you get from leveling up mastery/bond is fantastic. So many little lore tidbits - like Edmond not being Honda's name, to Gief dragging a submarine 🤣. Oh, my favorite is the fact that Chun-Li and Ryu went with Guile once on one of his trips to Nash's grave. They're actually friends.

Also, to add fuel to the CaC speculation from a few pages back, Manon actually goes on a long winded speech how we are a freak of nature. She is absolutely flabbergasted how we can train in different styles for a short amount of time and learn so much while it has taken extreme dedication for her to master Judo. Maybe there is something up with the CaC 🕵️♂️?

I don't know whether the show is/was any good or not. That said, I'm sure the cancellation is mostly due to the CW sale. The new owners need to actually make money. So they are basically cancelling everything. The only thing I watch on CW is Superman & Lois and based on the ratings it seems I'm not the only one. Yet people are still worried it will get cancelled despite getting double the ratings of Gotham Knights because S&L is more expensive to make. And based on what I've seen of both shows, it clear S&L has a higher per episode budget.

I'm hoping S&L just goes to Max and leaves the CW behind, TBH.

This is pure speculation from my part.

But I would think, based on my experience as software developer, that the inclusion of the mode shouldn't really impact how many chars we would get on the game.

The scope of the mode and the whole functionality is very different from the fighting game side.

For starters, to me at least, it seems that it builds from previous projects that have been made on the RE Engine, and is also a stepping stone for future projects, since it expands the assets, knowledge and modules that can help for games that could use a character creator, an open space hub where multiple players interact, etc, etc.

Also, due the type of needs that the mode has, it very likely is made by a different team within Capcom, and again, probably iterates from other projects and the tools in place with the game, like the  character creation, for example.

A mode like this can serve as a good tools to see what works and what doesn't, and also test stuff that is planned for other games like Dragon's Dogma or Monster Hunter for example.

It's nice to see someone who knows how pipelines work.
