What makes you think it’s just Western? I am sure there are some Eastern European or Middle Eastern countries that object to certain characterizations.
 
It’s a shame that a game is more of a service now than art. The latter would respect the wishes and wills of the creators while the former of the consumers.

I think they should’ve tried to dehumanize the soldiers at all levels like Stormtroopers. They went the cartoony Fat + Skinny soldier route. The color palette is secondary.
 
Skull Face being the the elite guard make sense as they bear the emblem of the army and have a greater control over PP.
 
It really comes now to art direction. There are many possible interpretations of Shadaloo. SF5 went with the cartooniest right down to the chess pieces being the keys to the WMD. It was a misfire. Thankfully Bison himself was most spared from this in SF5.

They don't care that she's a grifter, as long as it's a woman saying things they agree with.

It's like I said before. This woman is unimaginably stupid and an obvious grifter. Even when I factor in her being "first" in her niche, I can't understand how SHE got big. I hate Fresh and Fit and have only seen clips, but there's at least a "Jerry Springer" element people can tune in for. I can't imagine this woman's show bringing anything to the table people want to watch.

Don't get me started on the grunt Shadaloo soldiers' uniforms. I loathed the "Mini-Bison" getups they all had!

To think we could've gotten something more serious like Blade or the "Predator" armored ones intended for the Alpha version of SF5.

I recall reading that Capcom repurposed those Bison troopers from the live movie to be the uniforms for the American branch of Shadaloo. So they are all canon in some way.

People must understand the value of spending money on their beds and shoes. 
 
When I started getting more serious about running, I quickly realized that getting stuff out of the bargain bin vs. a good pair of purpose-built shoes makes a difference. The same goes for casual wear also.
