I'm glad EVO isn't dead, it was looking iffy for a moment there.
I wonder if this also signifies Sony wants to keep a finger in the fighting game world. The console exclusivity might carry over from SFV to 6 after all.

People might play it on PC but what TO in their right mind would ever host a tourney on one? I don't think it matters for the non-competitive playerbase, but for people who are going to be going to tournaments, console will probably be the main place to play unless there's a big difference in how it performs on one vs the other.

on a side note, i’m playing Detroit (which is like a choose-your-own-adventure type game) and I am pretty sure i keep getting the worst outcome in like every scene, so age does not equal wisdom

If there was going to be a guest character, she makes sense since she's a samurai type warrior. So if she's in, I'm good with that since it makes sense with the rest of the vibe of the game.

@Vhozite I have SF5 "working" on my PC. Lemme know if you wanna try it. Also Rev2 runs properly now too. So we can do thst if you want.
Guard Breaks are weird mechanics. But I know F all about SamSho so I can't say if it makes sense there.

Imo it's a bad mechanic for a game where breaking your opponent's defense is important and taking big risks is punished. Instead of being able to keep blocking if you want to and pick your moment to respond to also keep them guessing, now your hand is forced and they know if they keep chopping at you like a baboon, they'll eventually get something out of it.
Part of me wonders if they're adding it to speed up the game a bit because even for SamSho this game is sssssssllloooooowwwww and very turtely, but instead of doing something meaningful like, say, giving the characters better frame data or more actual punish options, they went with this. Samsho7 is a good game in its own right but they've made some pretty questionable imo design choices and this is yet another one. It would be one thing if the damage weren't as high as it is, but that clip BornWinner posted is crazy.

So after watching so much +R I finally cracked and bought it on Steam. Should be a decent thing to crack into waiting for Strive to come out though I still have Loop Hero on the brain for now.
