Never understood Hax's "humor" or whatever the fuck he was doing, but everyone seemed to love it. I think DoctaMario said it better when he said that Hax was like some sort of shitty artist where people will pretend to get his gimmick while others were afraid to just say "WTF is this guy talking bout" in fear of being reprimanded for it.

People confuse "inspired by" with "Identified by."

If you don't buy Aftermath, while you don’t get the Aftermatch story mode expansion, you also don’t get Fujin, Sheeva, and Robocop as playable characters. You also miss out on three skin packs. The characters you can buy individually, but you cannot buy the skins individually.
 
i’ll try to find some info for the skin packs so you can see them to see if that influences your decision and will edit this post when i do.
 
As i’ve mentioned before, a lot of the default designs in this game are ass (imo). You usually get one of the better skins by doing a character’s tutorial (which only takes a few minutes), but apart from that, they’re going to push you into grinding single player things or buying DLC skins if you care about cosmetics.
 
also, you unlocked skins and things by completing the story modes (both of the them). Also, you need to beat chapter 4 of the first story to unlock Frost.
