    Here are some WIP gifs.

Push Block in action, throwing some idiot into a pit and killing him.

Axe player reads the tech roll and pushes.

These gifs were too big so imgur turned them into videos. But yeah. Check em out.

When I was hardcore into SF (sf4 days, 8 hours a day+), I preferred player matches.  The key to getting better was simple:

    1) Find people better than you
    2) Play them over and over until they leave
    3) Find someone else better than you and start over again

Points and ranks were meaningless, and the fact that ranked matches were short meant you could rely on gimmicks.  Lose a match? No problem.  Just use the same strats on the next sucker and hope THEY fall for them.

When you were in a long set, all your gimmicks stopped working almost immediately, and the only thing to do was simply get better.  This was the easiest way to organically improve my game.  This method worked when playing people in person, in the arcades, and online.  All you needed to do was find someone way better than you and keep grinding.
I learned how to play SFIII this way too.  Having someone near your skill level might be more enjoyable, but I found struggling against an impossibly good opponent was a stronger strategy.  Getting good enough to block one high-level player's mixup ONCE was way more valuable than blocking a scrub's mixups hundreds of times.

Good things coming in a few days. ;)

In other news I'll be taking art commissions soon.  Post some artwork later this week.

Hey. Its me. Rabbit, from OG SRK.

I made a platform fighting game. It comes out in May in the Humble Monthly Bundle. I'll be releasing a retail version shortly after, and it will have new features. Let me tell you a little bit about the game.

Knight Club is a 2-4 player platform fighting game. Your attacks are determined by the weapon you choose. The controls are fairly simple, and will intuitive to anyone who is familiar with... *gulp* SMASH. However, Knight Club does have a handful of mechanics that put it in line with a more traditional style of fighting game.

    You Have HP
Knight Club is not about knocking players off a stage. You have a life bar!

    Directional Blocking
Blocking in Knight Club is based on which direction you are facing. You must block in the direction of your attacker! Given that my characters are sort of stumpy, high/low blocking didn't really work. Did I mention there is no player collision? You can walk right through each other! You really have to pay attention while blocking. And yes, you CAN get crossed up.

    Backstabs
If you get hit in the back, prepare to eat 25% additional damage.

The game also includes fighting game classics like counter hits, push blocking, and MVC style wave dashes. In its current state the game is about 50% what it should be. It has a lot of neutral, lots of movement, and short combos. In future releases I will be adding more playable weapons, and sub weapons which will act like special moves. Fireballs, projectiles, etc.

Anyway do me a solid and sign up for my mailing list at www.gutterarcade.com or follow me on twitter @RatCasket or @GutterArcade. If you are interested in play testing let me know. I could use some insight from some FG vets.

    Thanks.

I mean like I said, I get that normal functioning humans don't have the time... or don't have the drive. Me and Idom are loners who prob work and then come  home and grind. I doubt Idom has a family  or anything like that. Same as me he can afford to grind like a shut in hermit.

I legit like SFV and want to be better. Where that will take me as anyone's guess.

So I don't fault you guys for not having over 9000!!!!!!!!!!! games.

@misterBee I'll will keep this thread alive...this forum alive till it kills me.

Also when we getting more stages? I'd love the rainy Alpha stage or even Forgotten Waterfall lmao

I've been on a real Neo Geo kick lately. So much so that I'm seriously considering buying one. Anyway, thought I'd make a thread for the game I've been playing the most lately.

    This game is the shit.

Let me know if anyone's down for some games. Considered starting a section of the site that tracks player profiles/tournament results -- maybe I should start up a Garou tourney league...

I really don't know why they spent 5 episodes on that shit. It's wasn't even a good plot point and the lizards never show up again. It was stupid.

    On another note

    Does this work?

Hacked a Tiny Arcade Pac man

I had the on board jumper removed and soldered in a  4 position switch.
This allows me to play all the Tiny Arcade games and instead of the one preset on the Cab.

Here is a demonstration of the other games I got to come up

The Four games are Ms. Pac-Man, Pac-Man, Galaxian, and Space Invaders

Someone this far gone might as well have another force in her head controlling her. Like Dexter (though half that show is still garbage). His Dark Passenger is his urge to kill, but feels like an actual force to him. I think she has this force too. Her... Bark Passenger.
    ...
    ...
OK, that awful pun's out of the way. But I'm seriously wondering how deep this goes. Does she groom the dogs when they're puppies like a pedophile? Give them her used panties and tell them to find the scent? Stuff like that? So many questions.

KOF was on Saturn, PS1, and Neo Geo CD.  In America everyone was into SF so tbh it doesn't matter what consoles they were on.

Americans will never care about soccer and they will never care about KOF.  Sad but true.

Even real arcade machines were much cheaper.  The whole MVS system was incredibly friendly towards arcade operators.
