Doctrine_Dark got a reaction from Bigtochiro in The Street Fighter V Thread
Was reading through the Twitter thread that has Katsuya Akitomo (former Capcom artist) giving the origins of the Vs series.
Very interesting things here. If you have the time, give it a read.
Also this in particular:
I remember reading this issue some time back. I had no idea some of Doom's attacks were lifted straight from this battle:
He used it against Iron Man as well:
Even Doom's Marvel Super Heroes artwork is from the end of ASM #349.
It's always nice reading about the work that went into these characters that we all know and love today.

Capcom:
- Ibuki
- Blanka
- Urien
- Zero (megaman)
- Sigma (megaman)
of course, it would have to be balanced out with 5 new marvel characters as well, which may need to be new sprites, so...
- carnage
- dead pool
- nightcrawler
- phoenix
- apocolypse

Not sure if this was posted, but Capcom is currently looking for a Fighting Game Battle Planner:
http://chigesoku3.doorblog.jp/archives/57382824.html
Capcom is hiring for fighting game development.
As a condition for applying for a battle planner, one of the items that one of the required experiences is " experience of participating in a fighting game tournament and having achieved excellent results ".
In the past, top players sometimes got a job at a game maker and became developers, but nowadays there are many players who aim to become professionals, so is there a shortage of developers from proven players? It would be a rare attempt for a major company like Capcom to place a job with the top players in the game as the application conditions.
Although it is a condition that the educational background is university graduation or higher, it may be a great opportunity to work as a full-time employee listed on the First Section of the Tokyo Stock Exchange for those who have won the tournament or won the top prize.
Next-gen Capcom fighting game, baybee!
Wonder what fighting game it's for?

Valle tested a bunch of fighting games on PS5 last night. Turns out PS5 is very similar to the PC experience and it might actually allow for smooth crossplay between the two!

http://www.capcom.co.jp/ir/english/finance/million.html#rank06_area
SFV at 5 million sold
MVCI now at 1.6 million
I'm going to feel pretty conflicted when MVCI surpasses SFxT's 1.8 million. Microsoft Game Pass and the XSX release being barren of brand new fighting games not on XB1 already is going to probably put it over the hump by the next report.

I mean it can't play them that much worse than now right? Even with a Pro the PS4 is a still a struggle bus sometimes. Less so with FGs but you do still feel load times and performance here and there.
I've been lucky enough to stash PS5 money and I'm enough of a weeb that I know I'll want exclusives eventually (same thing got me to buy a PS4) so I'm sure I'll grab one. I'm not doing this mad scramble bullshit that happened with preorders and may happen on release day but once they are a little more readily available I'll end up with an obelisk in my living room.
