Sorry for taking so long with this. Been busy as fuck with work. 

So the good news:

Stadia Controller does come up as a XInput controller (and is viewable/testable in joy.cpl). All buttons and everything work fine. 

Working along that theory, it could probably be used on PC (and Steam/everywhere else) without connecting to Google's servers. Keep in mind, you would probably have to do the initial firmware update for the controller, but that would be all that's needed.

Edit: DPad doesn't work in joy.cpl, analog sticks do.

got my shipping notification earlier for my Game and Watch. It'll be here in the morning. 

Also, had a issue with my Gamefly delivery earlier in the week. It was delivered I want to say 2-3 days ago, went and picked it up out of our locked mailbox here in the community; and I swear on Mario the box was opened and someone fucking jacked my copy of Streets of Rage. Was absolutely fucking livid over it, but Gamefly was quick to resolve. Can't say that about the postal service though ... that is the second theft we've had since I moved back last year after the VA gig. The first was my Satisfye grip from last year, now this. I'm very close to start having all of my packages delivered to a PO Box again.

I'm willing to give them the benefit of the doubt for the time being. Once the new M1 Macbooks start arriving and reviews start hitting, we'll see our earlier discussion come to light more than likely.

Fortnite can still eat my whole ass, fuck that game.

Picked up some new(er) upgrades so I can give my wife her PC parts back. What's really gonna suck is going from this R5 3600 back down to my R7 2700X until I can snag either a Ryzen 3k series or one of the new 5k CPUs.

Coolermaster H500 series ARGB
EK 240mm AIO w/ARGB Vardar Fans (wew, this looked really nice on Amazon)
 
Also have picked up Dual 32" Monitors w/VA panels. Was able to try out nVidia Surround with a resolution of 3840x1080 ... at 165hz! To quote The Wire .... SHEEEEEEEEEIIIIIIIITTTTTT

edit 11/25: Was not able to get my original motherboard like I had planned. Amazon refunded my money this morning on it.

My next gen plan for right now is to play everything on PC, with my Switch for portable travels.

Picked up some new(er) upgrades so I can give my wife her PC parts back. What's really gonna suck is going from this R5 3600 back down to my R7 2700X until I can snag either a Ryzen 3k series or one of the new 5k CPUs.

Everyone here should remember the run-up to Christmas last year on the other site, when I finally got my Switch. This year, the missus asked for me to kinda tone things down a bit and not spend as much on myself, and casually recommended I stay under $200 for my gifts this year (the last couple of years I've spent close to $500 each year on just my gifts alone).

So, here's my semi-final Christmas Haul this year, as far as Switch games go (all are physical except for MK Aftermath):

SF 30th Anniversary Edition
Puyo Puyo Tetris
MK Aftermath
Paper Mario: The Origami King
Fire Emblem Encore FE#
Streets of Rage 4

The only thing I really paid "full-price" for was MK Aftermath, and even then; I bought it at Walmart; so technically not full price. I may use Gamefly's used section once more before the holidays end, as there were a couple of other games I wanted outside of the last three on the list (bought from them). I may also buy Dragon Quest XI brand new as well from Walmart, barring Amazon/Best Buy putting the Switch version of the Definitive Edition on sale for Black Friday.

also @iStu X- since you were looking for Switch codes to append to the OP, mine is SW-1955-7206-6697.

I'll have to stick within the budget, and if I go over; the overage is deducted from the next month's budget. I'm currently undecided as if I want to keep months where I underspend and be able to roll those over to the next month. I should be able to figure something out.

I tried out Hyrule Warriors ... I think I may get it for Christmas with Dragon Quest XI S. It's great for destressing at the end of the day, and much better than playing Tetris 99 to relax.

Edit: I have been looking at the Rune Factory games and considering adding the Switch ones (4 Special and 5 upon release) to the collection. Is there anyone here that plays these games? From what I've read, it's basically Harvest Moon mixed with Agarest War mixed with JRPG elements.
