Ok yeah; I forgot about this game on my wishlist until the sale but it will be mine for sure... it's already cheap normally but that sale price seems like a steal

This is a very fun game with a good variety of play styles to choose from. My only gripe about it is that the screen eventually fills up with so many minions and enemies it becomes difficult to tell which is which.

I was thinking about picking up Death Must Die. It is in early access and the developer has already made a bunch of updates.

Thanksgiving is my jam.  Not because of pilgrims or anything, I just love the meal plan.

Decided to bite the bullet and try the stupidly expensive heritage turkey.  Gotta at least try it once.  So:

    • Spatchcocked buttermilk-brined turkey
    • Scratch made stuffing from homemade bread
    • Sour cream mashed potatoes
    • Blood orange cranberry sauce
    • Whatever vegetable my wife feels like making
    • Gravy from the pan drippings
    • Gateau Basque w/ vanilla pastry cream and Morello cherry preserves

Good stuff. I love Thanksgiving and the leftovers. I make omelettes with turkey and stuffing, and I usually get avocados or guacamole for turkey sandwiches.

People think SM2 is woke because Black Cat is bisexual. First of all, I've been seeing them mischaracterize it as her being gay. She's bisexual. She has been for a long, long, long time. In fact, one of her best stories has revolved around her girlfriend, and her relationship with that girl over the years is a huge element of her rebranding as an excellent character that isn't just Spider-Man's rebound girl. Black Cat is probably one of the only Marvel characters whose comics I enjoy reading.

Which comics are you referring to? Are you talking about the Black Cat series that started in 2020?

  4. Sam Bankman-Fried found guilty on all counts.

    Quote

After 15 days of testimony and about four and a half hours of deliberations, jurors returned a verdict that found him guilty on seven counts of fraud and conspiracy.

Bankman-Fried looked sunken as the verdict was read out. After the jury was released, he stood, head bowed and shaking as his lawyer spoke in his ear. A few feet behind him, his parents stood watching. As Bankman-Fried was escorted out of the room, he turned back and smiled at his parents. His father, Joe Bankman, put his arm around his mother’s shoulders. As their son left the room, Barbara Fried broke down in tears.

Bankman-Fried was found guilty of stealing billions of dollars from accounts belonging to customers of his once-high-flying crypto exchange FTX. He was also found guilty of defrauding lenders to FTX’s sister company, the hedge fund Alameda Research, which held FTX customer funds in a bank account.

    Bankman-Fried hung himself by testifying.

No one found his occasional efforts at humor funny. Whenever he tried to expand upon an answer, Judge Kaplan cut him down.

And this was during the easy part of his testimony, when his lawyer was tossing him one softball question after another. SBF seemed incapable of saying anything that might engender empathy from a juror.

Under the circumstances, SBF’s wisest course would have been to just say yes—or yep—to her questions. And sometimes he did that. But just as often, he chose to dance around the question, to quibble about the phrasing, or say that he couldn’t remember the details. And every time he did that—every single time—Sassoon projected an email or video or a spreadsheet onto the screen, showing that he had done exactly what she was accusing him of doing. Which then gave the jurors another look at the evidence while reminding them that SBF was being something less than forthright. You’d think this MIT graduate would wise up, but he never did.

(He even equivocated on whether he had taken a private plane to the Super Bowl—to which Sassoon responded by presenting a photograph of SBF fast asleep in the embrace of a comfy chair on a private jet. In the overflow room, we burst into laughter.)

  5. Regarding the SBF / FTX trial, SBF hasn't done a good job trying to defend himself.

    Quote

The New York Post wrote that Bankman-Fried answered with some variation of "I can't recall" over 100 times on Monday. But Sassoon "presented jurors with a mountain of tweets, emails, and podcast clips revealing that the MIT grad did in fact say dozens of things he claimed not to have recalled," the article said.

Bankman-Fried previously testified with his own lawyer asking questions. When asked about Alameda borrowing money from FTX, he said he believed that borrowing was allowed under FTX's terms of service. But he acknowledged that he only "skimmed over" parts of the terms.

On Friday, the defendant "gave long, rambling answers to the questions posed by defense attorney Mark Cohen," The Washington Post wrote. "On multiple occasions... Kaplan asked him to stop talking. At other times, Kaplan rephrased Cohen's questions to elicit more direct answers from Bankman-Fried."

Got kind of a serious question here. Over the last 6 or so months I've had my PS5, I've noticed an increasing amount of wrist pain in my right hand to the point that I actually have an appointment with a doctor this week to have it looked at. After doing some reading, I think it might be due in part to the PS5 dual sense controller and the fact that Sekiro uses a lot of shoulder buttons, but I notice some pain even when I play other games that don't rely as heavily on shoulder buttons.

    1. Have any of you guys had any similar issues?

    2. Can anyone recommend a better and more ergonomic PS5 controller as an alternative?

I have had wrist issues in the past mainly from work. When that happens I wear a wrist guard at home or when I go to bed for awhile and it always goes away.

Not sure if this is common knowledge, but lately I have been using Retrobat for my emulation setup to streamline retroarch setup and keep my collection better organized.
