What do you guys think about Guilty Gear Strive not having a ranked mode?  I was thinking about this and it's a pretty drastic change from what we're used to.  Every fighting game I can think of had some sort of rank mode since like SF4.  It looks like Strive is going to have this tower instead where you move up a floor as you get better.  Not sure how I feel about this as I do enjoy rank modes but there are definitely pros and cons.  

Wanted to at least reach 500k before Rose came out. Looks like I was able to hit it way faster than I expected. 
 
Glad I was able to do it. The CFN swamps be hell. I'm gonna chill now.

I kinda needed to decompress from Octopath Traveler so I decided to boot up FFXII Zodiac Age. 
 
I don’t think I’d be able to play this again without the fast forward feature cause this game is sloooooow as fuuuuuuck. So it’s much welcomed feature. 
 
I haven’t messed with the dual boards much despite being about 20 or so hours in. I read it’s better to invest in them before getting the licenses for your Mists/Quickenings. Which, I uh, didn’t do. Thankfully in this version of Zodiac Age you can reset your boards. So I’ll probably do that. 
 
Also, playing this game for the first time in a long time it’s great to really notice how mad everyone was at the Squeenix higher up’s for making the FFXII team add Vaan. They aren’t even subtle about it either.
 
Every main character, even Penelo treats him like absolute shit and is super passive aggressive towards him. Pretty much every time Vaan tries to talk to Ashe she tells him to stfu. Every time Vaan asks Balthier something Balthier reminds him he’s the actual leading man of the story. Penelo constantly calls him stupid and unreliable. Basch straight up asks him why he’s even with the group. 
 
it’s kinda fucking great and consistently makes me laugh. 

I still am just out of work...not much otherwise has changed. I just stocked piled supplies...but I didn't need to. I never cared to use sanitizer before, I just wash my hands. my hygienic routine hasn't changed. I probably go out of the house once a week. My mom still goes out once in a while but I otherwise get things for her. 
 
I have gained my spark again about wanting to create content (my 4th attempt)...but fear I missed the boat too late to really grow. I will keep pushing myself to do this but I want to go back to what I did before. I put in so much for Disney so it's hard to drop it all. Ideally, routine work for me with this youtube/twitch content being my side project. I don't like uncertainty and a lack of a goal which content creation makes me face each day. 
 
unrelated but I proposed to my GF yesterday and she said yes. heh, never thought I'd ever find a wonderful woman who loves me for me. I had to end 2020 and begin 2021 on a good note if nothing else. 

Welp I do have corona. 2020s final fuck you to me. Pray for my asthma ass 😑

Despite whether I’m playing FGs a lot or not, I consider you guys fam.
 
I need a bit more structure in my life and I have a lot of non-FG goals i’ve had for years took a total dump to levels i’m not happy with. This unfortunately means less time for FGs and games in general, but I love playing y’all, so I’m aiming to do that on Saturday nights/evenings if anyone is around. I likely won’t be labbing throughout the week, so I’ll be trash, but hey, what is else is new.
 
Well, there are still many games we can play in the meantime friend. At least ST, 3S, GG Rev2, MVCI, and MK11 have good netcodes.
 
I’ll be available tomorrow night for games, but gotta give @Dayaan first dibs as I’ve owed him games for too long.
