The only modern console that SF 6 won't be available is the Xbox One right ? Curious why since it's available on PS4. Is Xbox One that underpowered compared to PS 4 ?

This is pure speculation, but I think it's because the newer Xbox consoles aren't as hard to get as the PS5 is. Everyone who wants to upgrade their Xbox probably already has, and the market of exclusively XB1 players probably isn't large enough for them to really bother with it.

On the flip side, the PS4 has a massive player base still, and the PS5 remains hard for many people to get their hands on. I'm sure they'd like to just move on to the current gen, but the PS4 community is too large a number to pass up.

Stance switch to view the back of your character is something MK has that I want for SF to be honest. There is a mod for SFV but it bugs out on multiple animations sadly.

I would welcome this feature for SF6.

They definitely experimented with that for Gill in SFV. Makes me wonder if Vega's next iteration will not feature a magical hand-swapping claw.

I might unironically drop her for Trouble Shooter. But I also wanna stick it out. I like her. I'm conferrable with her now. God damn I blame Cipher for this. Somehow he caused this!!!!!!

If you like and perform well with the character, don't pay any attention to some other schmucks declaring them bad. Remember when people said SFV Poison was bad for weeks after she came out?

Ah yes the so called tier lists made by pro players.

These are more likely to be tiers based on personal grudges with a certain character / player  or tier lists that pretty much represent actual players that play that particular character, rather than the character itself overall.

No matter the skill level, always keep in mind, pro players are biased as fuck just like the rest.

I gotta be honest, I only posted that cuz I thought it would rile you up 🤣

  5. I'll say this as someone who isn't necessarily a SRK/Megashock OG:

Most of us here know that the SFV and now SF6 thread is treated as a general fighting game thread, but newcomers might not. So someone like myself, who is a genuine fan of SFV  might pop in looking for like-minded people, only to find not only constant bitching about the game the thread is supposedly dedicated to, but occasionally outright mocking of anyone who expresses enthusiasm towards that game. That sort of welcome might not encourage a lot of people to stay.

Maybe if we didn't bitch so much and put down people for liking games that we don't, the community might seem more inviting. I know I've checked out of this forum a few times when it felt like the negative vibes were taking over too much.

Capcom is going to use the same demo build from summer game fest for SDCC. People need to stop ignoring the fact that the Street Fighter tweeter said they will be going radio silent for a few months

Well, they didn't say they were going quiet for "a few months," they said "a short while." I think an argument can be made that it's certainly been a short while. I also think it would be very odd to have a presence at a large event like this and have absolutely nothing new.

I think it would be cool to see Elena come back in sf6. I think it would complement a character like Jamie doing those bboy moves and Luke being a dickhead to Ryu. Some nice tongue-in-cheek fun and additional personality that was missing for the past few years from SF. 😃

She'd definitely be a lot less obnoxious than her SF4 version with healing as a 2 bar super instead of an ultra she could pop 2-3 times a round.

Not even sure why they already showed guile to begin with, they could have saved him + another char for a middle-way news update to keep people interest alive

That is bizarre, when you think about it like that. You plan one big reveal, then a gap of silence before showing more. Everybody was content with the first bit of news we saw at Summer Games Fest, but then they show Guile one week later. Why not space him out a bit?

Personally, I think they've got to have more ready to show, they were just covering themselves. They might have been expecting to need some time to make a few changes after this reveal based on feedback, but most of the feedback has been positive. Perhaps that will speed up their development some.
