  1. You know, I was a bit salty the other day because I played like shyt.

Then I realized...I felt this same exact way playing SFV early on. Well, a bit later. I was pretty ass early on.

Looking at some of my fav players, many of them have been getting their asses handed to them in ranked as well. They'd be at 2k MR and then suddenly back down in the 1900s. I was watching Brian F's stream yesterday and he was getting smoked ALL day.

I'm obviously not on their level, so it should be no surprise that the 1800-1900 is a sticking point for me. It's expected.

I guess my main point is that this isn't a race. I need to stop acting like it is. MR gets reset every 3 months anyway. Improvement remains.

Overall, I''m still playing more Battle Hub matches. I feel like I can unwind and try out new stuff there.

That TMNT song was getting on my last fukkin nerves, but I'm used to it now.

Saw your match against Shine today on stream. Yeah seems rough once you get to the higher MR ranks and have to keep playing the same people. Same thing is happening to me in the lower MR ranks, same people over and over and a lot of them one and done for some reason.

In SFV once you hit diamond you were thrown to the wolves fighting Warlords. There was a huge group of players in the same pool. In SF6 every rank seems more protected but the downside is you'll constantly be getting matched up with the same players, especially at higher ranks.

I'll see a lot of Master players not run it back with Diamonds or those who don't give anything more than a few MR.

Personally, I run it back with all Diamonds because I just wanna play. I'll take that over fighting the same people multiple times within the same hr.

I remember back in SFV when a player had just reached Diamond and were paired up with me almost immediately. I felt so bad lol.

Do what I did: Switch characters and go kick it in the battle hub.

One thing that I learned from the Strive experience is that the social portions of the tower made the whole experience of playing more fun. Just going to  the battle hub and playing randoms with characters I don't know kinda lessens the sweat aspect and allows me to vibe better.

I started chillin in the hub last night and I did find myself enjoying it.

I had my sights set on getting to 2K MR, but this system makes it so hard. On top of getting the same exact people, I'll get a stretch of players that give me 2 MR or 1. Sometimes 0.  Then I'll get on a nice couple streaks and lose all my progress in like 4-5 games. I kinda just starting to care less about it.

  4. The past couple sessions have been awful.  I just can't vibe with this game at the moment. Feels like I hit a wall. Can't stop people from doing dumb shyt.

The matchmaking is supposedly fixed and yet I fight the same exact people MULTIPLE times within the same hr. No matter what time of the day I play. Too many people are playing this game to be paired with the same people. I don't want to have to blacklist players so I can have an actual fresh session.

Man, I'm just having less and less fun playing SF6.

Man, Cammy gotta be the one character who gets better if you literally take moves away from her. Why she has that shitty St.HP target combo for forward HK is beyond me. They don't do shit other than randomly give you input errors.

@Doctrine_Dark Do you use her target combo or f.hk for anything?

The only time I've used her target combo was when it came out by accident. I legit forget that shyt is even a thing.

I really only use F.HK when I'm doing my corner drive rush combo.

Outside of that, sometimes I like to throw f.HK out to catch people whiffing certain normals from a distance.

    Both are very forgettable.

  6. Yo, the MR grind is friggin rough.

You can have stretches where you'll be lucky to gain 3-4 points from winning a set. Losing a single game will drop you by a good amount.

They haven't specified, but I don't think "Legend" is a Warlord type of rank you acquire with a certain amount of points. I think it's awarded to the top 3 or top 10 on the leaderboards once the 3 month period ends.

It definitely does a good job in showing your overall rank, but it can be hard to maintain with the win/loss gain. Another annoying thing is matchmaking seems slower than it was before they added this. I remember when I'd be queued up for a match immediately after finishing a set. Now the wait times are longer...

I'm just gonna keep playing normally.

  7. The new system reminds me of Super SF4's system.

League Points is SF6's equivalent of the Battle Point system. As everyone knows, BP was a per character thing.

"Master Rate" is more akin to Player Points. Unlike BP, these are your main points regardless of who you're using.

So LP kinda feels like it's in the background now.

  8. Rashid's Story

    Spoiler

Rashid reflects on his past experiences, including his involvement in stopping a global terrorist attack and losing a close friend in the process.

This life-changing event makes him contemplate his future and what he truly wants to achieve. Rashid realizes that he wants to travel the world, seek out top-class fighters, and vlog about their fights to gain subscribers and viewers.

As he embarks on this new journey, Rashid eventually arrives at a location where he hears about a legendary fighter: Ryu.

Excited for the opportunity to have a rematch with Ryu and capture the epic battle on camera, Rashid hides his camera behind his back.

However, as the fight unfolds, Rashid finds himself completely engrossed in the battle, forgetting about filming altogether. He experiences a pure desire to fight without any distractions, making him contemplate the possibility of one day prioritizing the fight itself over documenting it.

Despite this realization, Rashid's enthusiasm for his vlogging project remains undiminished. He humorously jokes about using a drone camera for his next battle videos.

  9. Rashid to Luke: “Good game! We gotta do it again sometime, either in real life or with a controller!”

Luke to Rashid: “Good games, bud! Wait, you were recording that? Nice, I want to see!”

Rashid to Jamie: “You’re a peacekeeper? Good to hear it. We all must help people in need.”

Jamie to Rashid: “Bro, your wind is awesome. At helping me sober up.”

Rashid to Manon: “There’s something about you...Wait, you’re a model? That explains everything!”

Manon to Rashid: “Oh, you wish to film me? Sorry, but I’m fully booked.”

Rashid to Kimberly: “Wow, for a ninja you’ve got some STYLE. I bet your moves would look good on stream!”

Kimberly to Rashid: “You got all of my Ninjastar moves recorded? It’s all based on Bushinryu, you know.”

Rashid to Marisa: “You really know how to lay on the pressure. Good thing I have the wind on my side.”

Marisa to Rashid: “Not even the wind can stand firm against my fists!”

Rashid to Lily: “Your wind is also amazing. It’s like a mini-hurricane!”

Lily to Rashid: “I believe your answer lies within the wind. Perhaps start there?”

Rashid to JP: “I’ve decided I’m not a fan of you or your power. Real bad guy vibes from you.”

JP to Rashid: “Don’t approach me with fairweather ambitions. Next time they may be the end of you.”

Rashid to Juri: “This isn’t some “you should be more ladylike” thing, but...shouldn’t you take it down a notch?”

Juri to Rashid: “You better upload this video of where I kicked your butt too!”

Rashid to Dee Jay: “Yeah, your beat’s a real crowd-pleaser! I’m glad I recorded the whole thing!”

Dee Jay to Rashid: “Dry wind drifting across a rolling desert...I like that vibe! Very ambient.”

Rashid to Cammy: “You were looking for your sisters, right? I hope you found them safe and sound.”

Cammy to Rashid: “I have matters to attend to. You’re filming fights for entertainment? Find someone else.”

Rashid to Ryu: “It’s always a sobering experience fighting you. I learn something new every time.”

Ryu to Rashid: “We need a rematch where you’re more serious. I know you’re capable of much more.”

Rashid to Honda: “It’s crazy that sumo wrestlers can fly like that when you’re double my size! Haha!”

Honda to Rashid: “Being light on yer feet is all fine and dandy...Until you get slapped away! Gahaha!”

Rashid to Blanka: “Your electricity broke my camera! What’s gonna happen to my vids!?”

Blanka to Rashid: “You took a video? Let me see! Am I there!?”

Rashid to Guile: “Your defense is on point, just like your hair. But this time, my wind was the deciding factor.”

Guile to Rashid: “Sorry, but that kind of wind can’t even mess up a single strand of my hair.”

Rashid to Ken: “Heard all the rumors about you, but I’m glad to see your fire still burns.”

Ken to Rashid: “Gonna have to ask you not to upload that one. I don’t need any more media coverage.”

Rashid to Chun-Li: “You’re teaching kids kung fu? You’re not teaching them THOSE kicks, are you?”

Chun-Li to Rashid: “You fought hard when we took down Shadaloo. But you’ve neglected your training.”

Rashid to Zangief: “No one can hold down the roaring winds of the desert!”

Zangief to Rashid: “Neither the wind, nor the clouds can escape my arms of steel! I’m just built different! Gwaha!”

Rashid to Dhalsim: “Your stretchy stuff always throws me for a loop, no matter how many times I see it.”

Dhalsim to Rashid: “Yoga is not just about stretching. Its essence can also seize your wind.”

Rashid to Rashid: “I leave it to the wind to see how far I can go.”
