No it didnt, and no, it isnt useless at high level play.

Have you not watched high level play?
The mechanic is used, is just that it isnt an intrussive one, and has a place and time when to use it, since it can be countered if used at the wrong time.
If anything, that shows that it was a good implementation, since it isnt a mechanic that interrupts the flow of the game.

Ah, MK animation fight. Nice. Guess we're breaking in Mega Shock with the classics.
The 2D MK games have always looked like action figures to me, so even the more egregious animations never really bothered me.
I think between trying to make the games feel similar to the first 3, while also trying to create these very fluid animations in a series that has been historically pretty stiff, probably has its own struggles and complications. Gotta compromise somewhere.
For anyone thinking about it: Please miss me with the mini novella explaining why I don't understand basic animation or why MK animation is the objectively worst thing to happen since the Holocaust.

Considering we already have RPS scenarios on fgs anyway, i fail to see how they are bad in 1vs1 fgs
I dont really mind them as long as they arent really intrussive or busted.
SC6 added a mechanic like that, and i think it added a distinctive dynamic to the game without taking away the SC essence from it.
DOA has its counter mechanic that works kind of like that and the series works fine with it.
Like any mechanic, it all depends on how you implement it and what adds to the game.

Not fan of the new Mileena's look.
When compred to her look on MKX, this one feels kind of a downgrade, lol.
Also, as somneone who practiced martial arts in his youth, the way many chars lean forward on their idle stances kind of annoys me since they are supposed to be martial artists yet keep doing a bad posture that forgoes guarding and put their face in place to eat a kick befor they could be able to react 😠

Nah fam, you are proposing an unsutainable way for them to run a business.
For starters, you doint even know if the people working on those small projects have the expertice to work on VTM2.
What you are proposing is the usual mistake that rookie and bad managers make that assume that putting more people to work on a project will make the project end faster and without problems.
Something i had to deal plenty on different projects and companies i worked with.

Its the only thing they are working on that i care about so i would prefer they focus on it. My comment stands.

What a very narrow and short sighted way to see things.
For starters, they having other people working on those avenues doesnt mean that they are not focusing on VTM2.
Plus adding the people working on those small projects wouldnt mean that VTM2 will take less time, or its problems will be fixed quickly, that is not how sw developement works.
Those avenues, even if they dont sell as much as the main game help theVTM2 to keep being worked on, since it adds cash to allow the people working on the big game to kept
being payed.
