    Dude I feel this way about Marisa and Manon but really it’s the whole game I feel like a crack fiend waiting for my dealer. 
     

    Im off Friday only working 3 days this week but it the days are DRAGGING. I purposely don’t have anything going on rn I wanted my schedule clear but now I’m bored as hell 😂

    After watching the gawd EC’ s character breakdowns again I think I’m gonna try out Marisa first at launch. Armor moves are some of my favorite mechanics in FGs and she has it in spades. She appears to be quite susceptible to Drive Impact but I think that’s a fair trade for a character that shits plus frames, and trying to blow up DI is one of my favorite mini-games anyway. Also I like how much of the opps Drive Gauge she can’t eat it they are too passive…some of her attacks take almost an entire bar on block.

     

    But really the biggest thing I love is that her hits just look super satisfying. Girl hits like a Mac truck and the game shows you with lots of zoom ins, wall splats, and fancy VFX shit just looks cool lol.
     

    Not super worried about it right now but if I had to pick a secondary it would be Juri or Cammy. Very fast characters with multi-hit, high flying combos is also something I like, and neither seems to difficult to pick up if you have past experience.

    Your review touched on everything I wanted to know. World Tour, general gameplay, controls, etc. I also liked hearing the perspective of someone actually invested in the game/series/genre compared to a regular reviewer from somewhere like IGN where they may like but this is just game number 245 they’ve reviewed this year so who really cares. I kept waiting for the “…but this isn’t so good” but it never came…not because you were biased but because Capcom was thorough with making the game good. 
     

    SF6 seems like a good game and a love letter to the series ❤️

    I actually played the World Tour Mode in the demo today. 
     

    Holy moly it’s AMAZING. Frankly I normally skip FG story modes (I have not finished SFV, MK11, or Strive)  but this mode is hype. I must’ve spent at least and hour in the character creator alone, and I really like the vibe of Metro City. It has the same feel as some of my favorite JRPG’s and it made me feel weirdly nostalgic despite being a brand new game. Playing the demo even made me like Luke haha.

     

    My only complaint is that the character seem real limited on skin colors. Yeah they have the realistic skin tones but it seems impossible to get something RGB. Best I could manage was red skin kinda like Hakan.

     

    Ngl this game makes me feel like a kid again, which is a feeling I been chasing a very long time. Friday can’t come soon enough.

     

    Edit: I will say that with my new perspective it does feel really strange not to have Cody in the game. Fighting the mayor of Metro City seems like a mission that writes itself. Maybe he’s in a big DLC expansion or something.

    How do you figure? His master is dead and per his towers ending dude kinda just wants to die finally. What would his character even be doing?

     

    I could see if maybe he was popular in 11 but afaik everyone hated him or just didn’t care about him at all.

    Idk who the bottom guy is but if you know anything about me you know me you could guess that there is not a single thing I find interesting about Slayer aesthetically. I don’t dislike him but there are characters in GG that look 10x more interesting than him.

     

    You're never gonna convince me that Slayer is in the same league as designs like Zato, Nago, or Ramlethal.

     

    Edit: I also vastly prefer stripes and cuffs Cody to his mayor look which is not memorable in any way. I don’t like JP either lol.

    No the fuck it doesn’t it screams “I don’t have an idea for a real outfit”. I see people in suits literally every day that shit is not interesting in a video game. 
     

    The only Street Fighter character I want to see in a suit is that Blanka one from (I think) Fornite.

    lol that movie was hot ass how in the world is it getting a sequel? Everything but the first 15 mins was terrible. Also didn’t that movie have black Mileena in it for a whole 5 mins 😂

    Im all about brand new characters. Even if I get the legacy characters I want there is no guarantee I’ll like how they operate. Give me something i haven’t experienced before.
