I'll wait for Falke but if she does little for me I might dive into Alpha 3 once again, my favorite SF game.

Long time KOF fan. Put a lot of time in every version of '98 and some of 2k2's versions. I didn't really like how XIII played, but I like XIV despite the substandard graphics. I can't wait to try out Oswald & Heidern.

Hey y'all. First time on this forum and in this thread. As somebody that never played Street Fighter too much after Third Strike (And wasn't very good to begin with), I feel like SFV is a game that players need to have planned breaks every now and then because the sense of burnout is strong with this one.
Of course, this is coming from somebody that can only really practice and do couch casuals for around 5 hours a week because of real-life stuff, but for whatever reason I feel... Not a sense of urgency to get back into playing, but a sense of "OK, I'll digest my knowledge for a day or two, then get back into the lab to put in work".

Sorry if anyone's inbox gets blown up by quote/@ notifications. Quotes got moved over to Invision but they no longer point to the original post when you click on them. Nested quotes got messed up too. @ notifications lost their links.
I've spent a few hours going through every thread and redoing the quotes/@ notifications BY HAND. Everything should be all tidy now.
I'm never migrating stuff between different forum software again. Next person who suggests it gets shot.

I'm still going to be tweaking for quite some time but I'll do my best to make it look as pretty as I can.
The white background is actually the same transparency as the old layout, but I'll see what I can do to make that background show through without being too distracting.
This upgrade was important because the plugins I used with Vanilla weren't getting updated anymore and I didn't want to be using old versions of forum software due to security reasons. Invision is more robust and has more features built in -- we are currently using 0 plugins. This is great for smooth upgrading in the future.
I'll be running around fixing broken quotes/etc. for the next few days. Please let me know if there are any problems!

Should be a piece of cake. Springs and switches easy to find. LEDs are no problem as long as the pcb you go with has a place to source power from. If you don't want to mess with the PCB at all, just solder the LEDs to a battery box and hook the battery box up to a switch. Then you can keep the lights and the electronics separate from each other and have the added bonus of being able to turn on/off the lights separately!

There are plenty of games out there with dumb shit. I think the thing I dislike about SFV the most is that it's stuck in between anime style games and traditional SF.
You've got the interesting combos (in S3) and high damage, but the movement is really slow, normals are stubby, and throws seem weak. I wish they would pick a direction and go with it all the way. Right now it's a hybrid and I don't find it appealing.

This actually isn't too bad if this is how it looks with no plug ins at all. Lots of shit to be done then. Plus we get insightful now. One of the main things I miss is that the bar on top of a post that has the poster name.and av, changed color based on stage. I use Jazzy NYC so it was purple. It was good for highlighting posts, instead of the whole page being completely white.

Minor theme fixes. Avatar display size has been increased. Avatars are now scaled differently. If you have a rectangular avatar (horizontal), it will no longer be squashed vertically. If your avatar is rectangular (vertical), it will still be squashed down to size.
Obviously for best results use a square image. Hopefully these changes will make it easier to see everyone's sick avatars.

With the hope we get this to be the place to be I'd like to start a GG thread because I think this is the best goddamn fighting game currently out there, and it was criminally unrepresented on the old Forums.
When I decided to get back into fighting games, I wanted to play GG and while starting to play I found Shoryuken.com, it had nothing on GG so I ended up gravitating towards SFV because I didn't want to be shit at GG. Took me almost a year (and SFV being very frustrating) to finally build up the courage to play GG online, and I am happier than ever.
So if anyone is looking for GG stuff hopefully they can find a friendly place here.
Also Jam's boobs are the perkiest boobs ever, and I feel that is important.
