Vanilla was really buggy - Invision is a lot more powerful but takes a bit more work to theme/customize.

I know I mentioned this to Darc with his custom character profiles, but it is always good practice to write out long-form posts in text files on your computer, and THEN post them onto forums.
 
This is good practice in case the forum ever dies/moves/breaks your posts.  You'll always have hard copies you can re-use or save for posterity.
 
I may or may not set up some kind of wiki/blog platform for people if that kind of content becomes very prevalent and there is a need for it -- but that is FAR down the road right now.

10/5/20:
There has been a sudden influx of people to the site.  As such I'm probably going to up the server specs to better handle load.  Please notify me of any site crashes/performance problems you encounter.
 
Software update coming along nicely.  Building a brand new version of the the site's theme that will work properly with the new software update.  Expect it to be pushed out some time this week.
 
Currently investigating allowing user uploaded images and setting up a calendar module.  Also had requests to allow custom badges for tournament winners.  I'll let you know when/if these features get implemented.

I've been meaning to go over to FLAC but the space concerns just haven't made it worth it to me yet.  I've got many many terabytes of video but still feel gross about a single album taking over 1GB in FLAC.  Still on that 320kbps mp3 life.

I still do!  I use them for video projects and soundboards too!

Since there is a new software update coming I'm gonna suggest you wait for the update to drop later this week.  If this is still an issue with the new version I will look into it.
 
For now you have two options:
On mobile it will show the latest poster's avatar and a time stamp ("7 min" for example) underneath.  Click that timestamp and it will go straight to the latest post. Click the button for the latest page instead of the thread title. 

Click your name in the upper right (underneath the Megashock logo).  Go to Account Settings.  Go to Signature.

I have full control.  The forum isn't being hosted through a service -- I am running it myself on my own virtual server.
 
The theme has been heavily customized and there's a major software/theme update coming this week.  Gotta make sure the new theme works nicely with the new software version.
 
I don't have any problem with you guys running events -- I might even add a calendar module to the site to keep track of them. Keeping track of who can/can't update it might get messy though, so we'll see.

Hover over the spoiler tag near where it says "x minutes ago, x said" until the whole spoiler gets outlined in blue.  Click and the spoiler box will have a blue outline. Push delete.

Themes that are rotated out are simply removed from the menu.  If you happen to be using a removed theme it will still remain active.  You just won't be able to get it back if you switch to another one.  Adds an element of DANGER. 😎
