Let me know if this the Netcode update of prophecy.  I'd love to revive my online locals that I dropped when my work started to require me to do home visits again.

i was talking to someone yesterday about SFxT and the recent Punk/Justin set, and why I broke it down like I did.  He had the gall to ask if me or any of the other veterans who never dropped the game could hang with these guys, like I haven't beaten a laundry of dudes who had their trips paid for on a worldwide scale.

Obviously I bragged up my surge of accomplishments when they were fresh, but over time I was getting to a point like Tomo Ohira that the constant surge to stay on top was becoming taxing, not because I was afraid to lose, but because it felt like I was nearing the end of what I could possibly do in that game.  Even if there were still people I had to beat, I remember how empty I felt after I won SUmmer Jam 2018, a fully capped SFxT tournament where i didn't lose a single game even though we had "trip paid for" guys like JB, Teiga, Vairos and others.

I don't have any insecurities about who I am and what I accomplished.  I only hyped it up so that I could continue drawing interest in SFxT and remind people while things got quieter, it never truly went away.  I made sure of that.  But all the same, I shouldn't have to constantly flex my rolex because dudes who aren't paying attention but have way too many subscribers to spread bad info want to chime in.  I'll be that guy if I need to, but it would be nice if when I say something about something I've been involved in from every possible angle for what's going to be 9 years, and demonstrate what I mean, people don't question who I've beaten to say that.  At this point, if you care to know, you're going to know.

My RTX 2070 super should be here tomorrow.  After the mess with the 3080 I figured i might as well get what's tried and true rather than attempt to get a first run 3070 that may have some early problems.  That should future proof me entering the PS5 era and hopefully be enough for RPCS3 when the supposedly netplay is done.  If that netplay is worthy then I might move SFxT events to that.

Staying true to myself and my love for this game not only pushed the revival that we're enjoying the last year or so, but it got me the clout to work backstage last Capcom Cup and have exclusive talks with Ono (RIP) and Nakayama about the game.  It is extremely empowering to have that kind of reputation not just among the FGC, but among developers.  When I was poking my head in an nWay stream for Power Rangers of the devs called me out based on my legacy.

And I still have PLENTY more to give.  Stay tuned.

That's Dr. Luther, he was a hardcore wrestler in Japan back in the early 90s.  Right now Jericho and friends are trying to get all of their buddies in on the money mark's cash flow before TNT decides it's too embarrassing to allow on their network, so expect more random guys from yesteryear huddle in while the money is still good.

So let's get the early stuff out of the way.
    1)  Yes, people still play it and many people never stopped.  I hosted side events for EVO 2014-2018, Final Round 2015, Fall Classic 2014, Combo Breaker 2019, CEO 2019, and the monthly Discord tournaments that now get 5000-10000 looks on the regular on NYCFurby. CB2019 Top 4 alone has like 370,000 last I checked.

    2)  Yes, the PC version still works, and so does GFWL.  Spectator mode is busted but the actual in-game holds up extremely well.  It's better netcode than most of the AAA games right now being it's rollback.  I live in Richmond VA and play a guy in France regularly and it's almost offline smooth most of the time.  Download the final version of GFWL from the Microsoft website before you install SFxT and you should be good to go.  You should also download the Xbox app from the Windows store and sign in with that, in case the first sign-in says there was an error connecting or something.

    3) Yes, people still play on PSN.

    4)  No, people don't play much on XBL.  It's pretty much barren now.
