Heard Cyberpunk is a fun game but very buggy.  Sounds exactly like Skyrim when it first came out.

It's amusing to me because it's pretty stupid.  To not include a character that might increase the overall sales of a game because of story reasons when the lore in most fighting games is trash.  In Kliff's case, I can kind of see him not being in because he's not a popular character to begin with.  However, if there's demand for a cool character they can easily make up an excuse to put them back in like how Capcom 'resurrected'  Nash in SFV.

Kliff is almost 100% not not coming back to any new GG unless they decide to make a Dream Match type of game.

Hell, they didnt even add a lot of chars that are alive in the lore and are heavily requested on Xrd and  SFStrive seems will have the same thing going on where they will add chars very slowly, which means many fan favorites will be missing again.

They actually wouldn't include him in the roster because of lore reasons?   That's....amusing to me and kind of unfortunate.

Yeah Kliff is is a badass.  Not sure why he's not as popular as the others.  I'd probably main him if he ever gets into Strive.

It's the good ol' announcement of an announcement.  Oh well, just happy that we finally have some sort of news and a concrete date.  

Been looking forward to this game for A WHILE -  but it has to have rollback or I'm not touching it.  If they go radio silent on the subject I'm just going to assume delay netcode again and that's a bust for me.  

The two most underrated characters in the game are FANG and Zeku.

Seriously I'm not really sure what CA2s are supposed to do for half the cast. Balrog already has a single hit super that deals mad damage, has invincibility frames and goes through projectiles. What does Balrog need that he doesn't have?  Its the same thing with Zeku and a bunch of other characters. Zeku has a 4 frame super with a massive hitbox and hella invincibility frames. Dude needs a second CA like Cammy needs a second CA.

I agree, I really don't see a point of second critical arts.  What do they really add to the game?  It's not like additional v triggers/ultras that change the way the game is actually played.  

Seems like a huge waste of resources.  I hope this isn't the case.

I usually pick characters based on their visual design not gameplay ( don't judge ).

Fair enough.  Juri and Poison are definitely characters that I'm a fan of and enjoy fighting.   Seth is another story.....

As for adjustments they could definitely nerf Seth's axe kick but it depends on how their balance philosophy is this time around.  Knowing Capcom they'll either gut the character or somehow make him even better 🤣

Funny I noticed a lot of Juri players switching to Seth and doing better.  Seems like Seth plays similar to what Juri players are looking for, just that he suits the meta better.

I'm probably in some twitter clips myself the amount of times I've been styled on with Gill's VT2.  I figured out you can mash backdash to get out of a few of his setups but I still don't really know what's going on half the time.

While there are surely an overlap between people who play SF and people who would like DS, there is also a good portion of players that would play it that dont touch SF at all.

Treating it like a SF spinoff wouldnt really be different as re releasing old games, it would even probably do more damage since it would be seem as capcom halfassing both the game and the effort.

 

DS covers a niche that neither SF or MVC does.

And also, despite capcom not releasing a new game in decades, the series still has a strong pop culture following, even outside the fgc.

 

One thing though, i am really sure that if a DS ever happened, there would be some changes to the formula, mostly on the control scheme and probably the addition of an autocombo system, in order to allow the new game to capitalize on the peripheral market around the series.

Yeah, I've been thinking this as well.  Darkstalkers would attract SF as well as ASW fans.  As much as I want to see a CvS3 I know that niche has already been filled with new SF and KOF games coming out every 4-5 years.  If Capcom/ASW made a new DS they could make it balls to the wall entertaining instead of focusing on 'e-sports'.  A game to go alongside SF like Marvel did for so long.

Haven't touched Darkstalkers in my life but I've watched a lot of tournament footage over the years.   It's probably the series I want most to be brought back from the dead (lol).  It's like an ArcSys game made by Capcom, we need it...

It kinda sucks in that this scene has always had great personalities that drag you in. Finally we're sort of getting content that showcases that. The best was Excellent Adventures. But now between Daigo's translations, the stuff with Punk, Wong etc, you're slowly trickling in what makes playing FGs every day fun.

 

 

Speaking of great personalities.  I really wish Aris was into SFV.  Or more 2D games in general.  The stuff he did for the Tekken 7 community was amazing.

In general though, FGC stuff that's mostly talky talky claptrap irks me. The guy who edits the Panda Global vids, Spininfinite, does a great job making their people entertaining on youtube while keeping the content pretty FGCish. Listening to punk talk about Japanese SFL is  😂/10. 

 

Brian F has been putting up some hella good vids too. Sajam vids, vy comparison, are jist nasally nonsense without half the personality Jiyuna puts to it.

 

Its what kids like though. Hella silly how he always has SF5 as the stream game and is just yapping it up. Like c'mon guy, just move to Just Chattin' and wear a lowcut t-shirt.

Sajam is like Maximillian lite.  So I'm guessing you don't like Max either? lol

I don't watch his streams but some of his youtube vids are good, imo.  I don't really see a difference with what he's putting out versus what Jiyuna is doing, besides Jiyuna being more edgy.

To be fair, people tune in to streams of people doing the most menial shit.  Sajam is a pretty charismatic FGC personality.   Even if he's just talking about FGC related things versus actually playing.

What is the consensus? How good is Seth? Based on what I've been... observing, she seems to be high tier but is also prone to being  a glass cannon. 

My 2 cents - Seth is the 2nd best character in the game after Akuma.  Punk just made a tier list and placed Seth 4th after Akuma, Urien and Rashid.  Either way he/she is easily one of the best characters in the game.
