I dunno man, if I'm streaming until 3am and I know I have to register for a tournament in a couple of hours I use the handy invention that is an alarm clock, make my registration, and go back to bed. Or I just don't stream at all the night beforehand and get up fresh and early. I mean what is the go-to response to missing an appointment here? Complaining about twitter that every other person on the planet doesn't adapt to their schedule? I think the only fix for that is marrying into royalty.

Like Taokaka and Vega had a baby and raised it on Naruto.

A good amount of matches at celestial floor and some parks matches vs Ky, Ram, May and some others. Sent the same Ram outta celestial twice via close games... man waited for me after re-ranking up to play again after the Ky matches.
 
This game is easily the most fun fighter I've pllayed in a long time! Need to learn that Axl matchup though...

Just think about this game like SF/KOF.  Just keep telling yourself that not all moves chain together and that S/HS are way better than P or K and you'll get over it in no time.  It's a mindset similar to SFV's heavy use of MP or KOF's close C buttons.
 
You're great at SFV and that game doesn't really reward relying on light attacks either.  I'm sure you'll be able to change your mindset soon!
 
That was totally their intent -- they are very clearly trying to get new players/people who were too intimidated by GG before.
 
People who are used to playing a lot of different games at once / don't have legacy knowledge won't get hung up on the changes in Strive like long-time GG players might.

GGs. You were amazing on Pot's AA grab. When you snatched arckick like that which Perth can't even 6P I was like holy shit is this going to be a thing. Volt wasn't kidding about your reactions. 
 
I'm starting to develop a plan vs Pot. His framedata up close is bad, so I'm trying to smother him, and if I could polish up my punishes, hitconfirms and misinputs just a bit more then I could've taken more of those rounds and more games.  Supposedly Pot's the only MU where Dragon Install has a use since 2-hit fireballs (and other specials) really take those armored moves off Pot's menu. Also condition him blocking with arckick into pressure for big money dust launchers.  That got me a game.
 
The find private lobby works, now if connecting to it once found works too... 
 
It was a good evening for me. I also sent a good 10th floor Faust to heaven (his use of normals and afros was beautiful), and got good practice vs a Zato who expects you to block his sword super, only to have Eddie stab you in the back immediately afterwards when you drop shield thinking it's your turn to move. Just brilliant play all the way around.

My win quote with Rose is now on par with that of my previously best character (Falke). I think two of the biggest factors for that were completely ignoring Soul Bind as a reactionary AA and going for cr.HP instead and using V-Trigger for proper setups instead of just randomly teleporting after throwing a fireball in the neutral game. Soul Bind might be the best most situational AA in the game as there are spots where it's just unreliable or too slow but if you land it Rose is arguable a top 5 character for a couple of seconds -- but it's best to use it only from further away and mostly on anticipation. With teleport I stole some stuff I saw on youtube. Quite a few setups she has are straight up disgusting and if she activates V-Trigger after getting a CC sweep you're pretty much screwed if you don't have V-Shift. I dislike winning games that way but every other character is playing the blender so, yeah, give 'em hell Rose.
 
One thing I still need to work on is using target combo into Soul Bind more. I usually tend to end my BnBs with EX fireball to make space and set up something or just with Soul Spiral out of habit, but target combo is often the better choice in that scenario.
 
Anyway, long story short, she's a solid character and a tad better than I initially thought, though certain matchups are a real pain in the ass. Rose players are rightfully complaining about Bison, Balrog and Falke but I swear to god Juri is a nightmare that nobody talks about.

Damn I just remembered eskills, deviljin, saitsu, daemos and highlandfireball.

I prefer parks solely because I hate how ranked can bump you up and down mid-set, and how the set doesn’t end on a 2-0.
 
The only thing that sucks is the majority of my matches in parks are against people that won’t rematch because I either suck too much, or I’m too tough/cheap.
 
I usually start in the park but if I can’t get a good match after a few different people, I’ll hop into the towers

Played a little bit with Pot last night and it was pretty dope. 
 
I think that my gameplan at the moment is to main May, try to have a pocket Ky and Pot. 
 
Pocket pot usually ends up with a court date and probation tho, so I should be careful. 
 
Fun little story from last night:
First games with Pot after 2 minutes in training just so I can find my ass with two hands and a roadmap;
Play a ram player. My first thought was that with her buttons, I'm totally screwed. Lose the first game, adjust and win the set.
Ram player is salty, so they switch to Sol. Start getting ignorant with sols silly buttons and get clapped as a result. 
After winning another set, I back out and switch to May and homeboy refuses to rematch me lolololol. 
 
Also, you can 360 potbuster instead of the 632146 input. Waaaaaay faster on hitbox. 

HOLY SHIT YOU CAN BLOCK GROUND ATTACKS WHILE AIRBORNE WITHOUT FD
 
Sorry I know this is a really obvious revelation, but I’ve been wondering for a couple weeks now why anti-airing felt so different in Strive. I could never put my finger on what changed...that’s probably the biggest reason I see less FD in general.

Same experience playing Nago. I smite the air dash approach with 2H 3 times in a row...better try it again lol. 
 
Everyone always says just take the dubs and be happy you won but I absolutely fucking hate playing FGs against people with no ability to adapt. It’s insanely boring and monotonous, but also these impatient ADHD style players are always the ones the get characters that can slow down the game nerfed. 
 
Similarly, players trying the same tactic till it works (or they die) is one of the reasons I think DPs and other reversals are so important. Reversals force the adaptation that makes fights more dynamic. 

I streamed this for ~2 hours today.  
 
I am very basic at this game , i keep bouncing between floor 7 and 8.  
 
I-No sure is a struggle but same as Juri, imma keep at it. What's the point of playing a game if it's not the character you like ?   🙂
