Was listening to a podcast this weekend where they called Ocarina of Time the "Winback of 3D action/adventure" and I'll admit, I audibly yelled "Get the Fuck outta here!" when they said it.
 
Better yet, latter in the ep, they brought up Mega Man Legends and said that was the Winback of 3D action/adventure, which I sorta agree with. 
 
Zelda as a series has this weird thing where people seem to fall more in love with games in the series as time rolls on, but then it becomes cool to say that OoT hasn't aged well and is best remembered as a launching pad. 
Na, OoT is still a really solid and fun game in 2021. People talk about it like it's the Rosetta stone or something, and that it's become a clunky boring slog in the last 23 years. 
 
I always wonder if it's because game journalists are staying the same age as I get older. I hear more and more talking heads in gaming saying the Mario Sunshine is their favorite Mario game, and I've come to the conclusion that it's cause that game came out when they were 8-10 years old and was the first mario game they really remember playing.

I just beat Demon's Souls. Final boss King Allant was super easy after I killed the blue dragon. I might have been over leveled though, lol. Now I want to jump right into new game+ and maybe not kill Ostrava right off the bat, lol. But I also want to start in on Dark Souls. I'll probably do that and come back to Demon's Souls later I guess.
 
What a fucking game though. Absolute masterpiece.

I like Street Fighter 4, especially vanilla. I legit had fun playing tf out of it when it dropped on consoles. Kinda helped me get back into fighters again 🤷🏾‍♂️
 
SF X Tekken was also super fun, but Capcom fucked it up with gems and DLC shenanigans. Take that shit away, Its better than both SF4 & 5

I don't really have any religious beliefs although I find religion fascinating, but the way a lot of people use religion is toxic and is definitely abusive. Which is a shame because I imagine believing in a higher power with that degree of certainty and having the community around you that a church or religious organization provides is kind of nice.

As someone who's around children a lot, they cannot comprehend the effects of the decisions they make and it's potential consequences. Kids feelings at any given moment is a guessing game at the best of times due to how indecisive they can be. Leaving life altering decisions in the hands of a child is all kinds of irresponsible. 

And doctor giving hormones to a kid under 17/18 should have their license revoked for malpractice. 

Parents co-signing transitioning that would cause permanent physical or physiological changes for a kid under 17 is child abuse

If you have to upgrade your PC every 6 months.....you are doing something wrong. I replaced my last gaming laptop after 4 years. I can still run pretty much everything on my old laptop. PC gaming on a laptops is the most expensive way to PC game. With the ridiculous mining craze, I don't see gaming requirements moving much. You can't upgrade a desktop if you want to right now....

I saved a bunch of money going digital. When games go on sale they tend to be super cheap. I spend more money getting a meal at Wendy's compared to when I buy games on Steam, Green Man, Humble Bundle and Fanatical. Game of the Year edition of Shadow of Mordor is $3 right now on Fanatical. Definitely not saving.

I don't care about swapping discs. I DO care about owning less stuff in general. I've lived in multiple countries/cities these past few years, and nothing is worse than trying to figure out how to take all your belongings with you on moving day. It's also easier to keep things tidy and uncluttered when you don't have an entire bookshelf/storage bin that you have to devote to games.

I'd have bought a switch by now if there were new Metroid and F Zero games on it.

Resident Evil 6 Mercenaries is such a fun high-score attack.  I'm rediscovering it on the PS4 rerelease.  I completely forgot that it runs at a constant 60 fps, and there's a Mercenaries "No Mercy" mode that takes advantage of the better hardware and floods the map with enemies (like the new modes on the Devil May Cry rereleases). 
 
For "No Mercy", they made tweaks that made it more fun and made useless characters way more usable or even top tier.  They kept all the fun broken stuff like weapon switch cancelling and the coup-de-grace grenade trick.  There's now ammo drops for the heavy weapons (magnum, grenade launchers, Helena's Hydra shotgun, not sure for the rocket launcher).  The mob enemies are just slightly weaker so that the characters with the weak stun-melees and counters that didn't kill previously now do (or more consistently at least).  These changes made Ada go from weak and unfun to amazing.  Helena's Hydra is still wack, but the fact you can spam it more is fun.  If course, since there's double or triple the enemies onscreen, there's way more ammo drops and less dead time to keep the combo going like

My girl got me a Moga xbox controller for Christmas with a clip for my phone and I've been getting my retro fix that way. I can even output the display to my monitor so it's like the perfect emulation device.

The supers are all electricity based which is kinda feels like its ripping off Benimaru.
 
 
 

After a grind I finally beat Chapter 7 (Very Hard). Killed Black Bull in the beginning (which is easy), then raced the 5 laps, then if you're close to Blood Hawk in the last lap he usually drops back and tries to kill you, but I was able to kill him since Blood Hawk is a pretty fragile machine. Then I boost my way to a bomb to bomb boost myself to first and now I finally have the complete roster.
 

 
Also I did AX cups in all the difficulties and that wasn't too bad. Now on my to F-Zero X.

Love this group.  Got to watch them play their OoT set live at Magfest.

Man, Miriam is popping up EVERYWHERE.
 
Finally got to the last battle in Classic Mode last night but am yet to beat it. Stage 5 gets nasty in that upward tower section. The Dullahan heads have a different trajectory where they dip lower and don't move as far forward as Medusa heads would. If they were Medusas I'd have gotten through it no problem, but man, those damn Dullahan heads... 😂

I am neither. I simply asked how you pwned anyone by adding a free game to your library. I then explained you aren't downloading the game just adding it your library to never play because you enjoy being petty. Is what it is. I liked the game. Played it twice from beginning to end. Had a good time. You not liking a game you never played is of no importance to me. I stopped caring about the opinions of people who haven't experience the thing they have an opinion on a long time ago. 

Did they final nut up and add Truck nuts to that game??
