DarkSakul reacted to globe in Check Out My New Arcade Stick! (No Image Quoting!)
Picked up a Razer Panthera EVO recently and it really wasn't that bad to customize. Read around that the buttons were a pain to change out, but it was kind of the same as any other stick. Although they weren't lying about the stick really only being able to fit a JLF. I could fit a Hayabusa with switching out the top plate.

    Parts:
Hori Hayabusa with 2lb tension spring
Qanba LED buttons with Sanwa SW-68 Button Micro Switch

Really the only reason why I picked one up is because FocusAttack sent me the wrong artwork. Got 2 Panthera EVO prints instead of what I ordered. Messaged them about it and got the artwork I did order the next day. They didn't tell me to do anything with the wrong artwork since I'm sure it's kind of useless to them. So picked up an EVO for an okay price. Character is Shinobu from Demon Slayer.

SSJ Goku, Blue Goku, and Base Goku obviously are though. They even share many normals (same with the Vegetas).

Black, UI, Bardock and the fusions have the same model but with totally different everything (except it looks like Bardock and UI have the same 2M as each other).

Digital Foundry compares external HDDs/SSDs versus the internal NVME drive of Series X for backward compatible games. Results are interesting.

Good I hated that game lol, amazing that we had that AND Dragon's Lair at our Time out in the lame ass Early Texas Heartland mall.   We actually had a lot of goodies at that arcade tbh, and this is coming from someone that has been to arcades in both south cali, vegas, and florida.

@misterBeegot me wishing we could get an updated remake of SF4 on this new console that includes the sf5 ppl but plays like 4 and gets rid of the pointless nerfs to ppl that I use while giving them more options that they should have had in the first place.  I will forever be salty that they didn't let guy grab ppl that were juggled but put in a shitty cammy clone that could.   Like damn just let breh do the shit he was known for.

Let me tell you what I think are the issues with SRK and Evo.

    1. The fucking higher end leadership have no fucking clue what they are doing
    2. They didn't fire Joey Cuellar outright. They just "remove" him from the event that didn't actually take place.
    3. There always been a disconnect between the front page and the forums, they felt like separate entiries, and was treated like it by higher ups.
    4. They like to place blame on the forum members.
    5. They have zero interest in having a forum but decided to keep it when offers was made to buy the forums off them.
    6. Fucking Preppy. What a abusive shit head.

DarkSakul got a reaction from misterBee in The FPGA thread, better than emulation.
True, but the problem with Emulation is you need a powerful CPU for actual accurate emulation.
The most accurate SNES Emulator BSNES (now called Higan) actually taxes a PC's CPU quite heavily and requires a 3.7ghz processor (which is required to accurately run SNES games with any add-on chips). Sure you can get Zsnes as it can run on a potato, but Zsnes is  an out dated speedhack emulator that runs with such bad accuracy that it makes  games unbearable to play.

For most people their Smart phones or a Raspberry Pi is "Good Enough", but to those who played on real hardware enough or grew up on theses devices notice the sounds are off, graphical glitches, that there shimmering and screen tearing, and there noticeable amounts of lag.

You also have to look at High level and Low Level Emulation, at the high level you are just tricking the game to run, you are only simulating the higher end functions of that system you trying to emulate. Its why I felt the n64 emulation gone nowhere in the last 21 years. Yeah they got compatibility up, but this requires a host of game specific plug-ins or per game patches to make the game run "correctly". Even then you got games like Pilotwings 64 and certain levels in Mario kart 64 with graphical glitches (in Mario Kart's case the jumbo-tron screen in one of the courses will not work). The Sega Saturn Emulators I think is good enough to run a okay performance of Radiant Silvergun, but does not run that many games.

Also comparing various emulators to Neo Geo, as I too own a MVS, Mame does a good enough approach which already sours my view of it, Neo Rage X does a better job than Mame, but it has a lot to left desired, so you are stuck with RAINE or FB Alpha both are decent but does not compare to actual hardware. Oh and what ever they used for recent PC ports of Neo Geo games are awful, but the upside is that the GOG/Steam ports are a good legal source of the game roms.

So how many of you people messed with FPGA consoles yet.

In my opinion, the MiSTer with it's Neo Geo, CPS1, and various console cores make this an almost no brainer.

Only thing that is currently missing is netplay, but the MiSTer cores been running better than MAME or even Final Burn Alpha does, the FPGA been doing some near perfect simulation of the original hardware.

There some other FPGA systems/consoles too like the Sidi, the MIST, the Analogue Consoles, the AVS, ect.
