in the literature I was given from capcom, there is a very large distinction between the original 8 and everyone else.

They are the World Warriors, flat out. Cammy? Dee Jay? They are just labeled as returning characters.

There is a lot of reverence placed on the original 8, as there damn well should be.

I was told that various colours and all that will retroactively unlock (I have no idea what the unlock requirements are) when the patch happens.
