sheeeeit, I wonder what other people's ideas would be if they acquired the Infinity Gauntlet...?  

 

There's the immediate perverted ideas that come to mind for me--- as a new god, I could easily just have whoever I want...or even create whoever I want....shit, with Soul stone, even hot celebs that have been dead aren't off limits either since resurrection is possible.  So...there's all that freaky shit right there... no one is off limits to me anymore.  Yes...I would absolutely use my newfound god status for something like this.

 

After having lots of fun with that... my other interests are more cosmic-level stuff... after "fixing" a few things about this world and the way it generally works (*that gets into some seriously controversial opinions there, of course--certain things, ideas, and people would simply be erased from existence....harsh, but with this kind of power behind the action, it would work), I'd leave this world and go exploring the universe....which wouldn't take much time anyway since I could be anywhere at anytime, or even multiple places at once.  There's so many things about this universe I'm curious about, and with the Gauntlet, those answers are easily found.  I could go to the "edge" of the universe to see how that looks...looking into a void on the other side of the expanding boundaries.  I could travel to a black hole and check what's going on in there.... I could seek out all other world that have advanced lifeforms, and observe them from beginning to end....perhaps I would create some as well.  I would not ever want this to end... so if the universe is to naturally come to an end...I could just decide that is not the case...it will continue forever, or keep resetting itself indefinitely.  As the new God, I'm the one that makes the rules at that point.

IF I had the Infinity Stones:  (theres so much too even post but...

 

Resurrect some musicians that were taken too soon. (Bon Scott, Malcolm Young of AC/DC first !)

 

Converse with some legendary folks : Stephen Hawking, Einstein, MLK, Gandhi, FDR,  Abe Lincoln

 

Make Bayonetta 2/3 multiplatform

 

Be married to Salma Hayek and have her pussy revert to a pre-pregnancy state after each kid pops out

 

Travel to hard to reach wonders by teleportation ie Mt Everest, Outer space, etc

 

Invent some sort of duplicating food source (rice) that replicates every 20 minutes under certain conditions and deliver it to impoverished foreign countries

 

Replace certain politicians

 

Replace Capcom of today with the 1990s employees and designers. their first game would be xmen vs Transformers which would become Marvel vsHasbro VsSERIES.  Time Warner would buy SNK so we can have DC VS SNK.  Batman and Terry Bogard to gether again!

 

Have each police officer whos killed an innocent person undergo the penance stare from Ghost rider so that they never hurt anyone else (Minorities forever!)

 

Have it so that your body could burn off fat even at rest. No diabetes/hypertension/MI/strokes!

 

People with genetic diseases could have Ant man and geneticists perform DNA repair instantly after diagnosis

yeah, there's such a long list of things....

 

The "finger-snap" treatment definitely on annoying insects.  Mosquitos, roaches, etc. become a thing of the past... I'd magically "re-balance" whatever damage that does to the food chain (*heh, once again--as the new God... the rules of nature and reality are whatever you say they are now)....yeah, it's worth it making certain species extinct.  

 

and yeah-- I'd resurrect certain great talents like Prince, David Bowie, etc....and make it so others like John Williams are suddenly immortal and thus the world is never without them (or a sneaky way would be to magically "transplant" the talent directly into another one once they die, then that at least appears normal and "fair" to everyone else; humans would be unaware that you simply "recycled" a legendary talent like Mr. Williams into this new person that was just born shortly after his death.)

 

I'd also make all my fantasy video games into reality... just manifest them out of thin air on a special, "magical" gaming system I also conjured.  Suddenly, things like Viewtiful Joe 3 and Kingdoms of Amalur II, new Soul Sacrifice games...all that is now a reality if I say so.

 

There's so many cool things about the Gauntlet + all gems, man.... like with the Time gem, the good times never, ever have to end since you have absolute power over that too.  It would be funny if the current "God", if real, tried to fight you and maintain his position of power....would likely be satisfying to defeat him to truly become the new Big Boss of this universe.

The transaction is subject to a number of customary closing conditions, including obtaining required regulatory approvals, and is expected to close during the second quarter of 2018.

Tacos for Tuesday was a good idea in a pinch, but it just backfired.............literally.  I took within me the accursed power and now my ass has become as the Death Star, fully operational with the power to destroy entire solar systems.  Woe be upon those I would visit in this time. 

 

 

EDIT:  There was a better (and shorter) version of  that video, but it seems it fell victim to something other than the ill wind of fate.  just cut this one after the birds die.

so I was watching "Almighty Tevin" live-stream some DSP lately...and I saw how he plays PUBG...

 

Now---I already am repulsed by that game in the first place...never saw the appeal in it, actually (the game looks like pure trash, imo)... but the way Phil plays this shit makes it even more boring than it already is.  That's quite an accomplishment there.  Basically, he gathers some guns and ammo and just hides forever, going out of his way to avoid the other players.  So you get long periods of complete silence as you watch his character hide behind a fence or tree, etc.... while he's also saying NOTHING; complete "dead-air dave" status....no witty remarks, jokes, running commentary on something else, nothing.  He'll start to talk again when someone inevitably gets the drop on him and kills him, calling it cheap or blaming the "poor shooting mechanics" of the game or whatever.... (*on the flip side... if he actually gets the kill, he barely says anything other than maybe a "aha" or "got him" whatever....no significant commentary on how that went in his favor, surprisingly) 

It's amazingly terrible....but it's so bad that it flips around and becomes fascinating in a negative way, and compels me to watch (*at least via Tevin or the other "detractors")

 

*also in God of War-- he apparently does nothing but throw the axe ALL the time....then wonders why views are low and people are complaining about it being boring.

DSP's new live in girlfriend looks like she was legit kidnapped. I have been trying to avoid his nonsense this year.

 

Picked up a Switch finally, I very much enjoy this system. I was weary and waited due to being a early adopter of the Wii U and getting fucking nothing for long periods of time, but both first and third party support has been quite consistent for the Switch and it made the dive in easier. Little thing is just fun to mess with.

 

Also Bee I have a Motorcycle and some dirt bikes, they are fun, cheap on insurance, and super cheap on gas. But there is a great risk involved riding around, people simply do not pay attention to you or what you are allowed to do on a highway/freeway. So you really need to be apparent of everyone else on the road and keep an eye out.

 

If you want some tips on what to get, craigslist and such you can score some remarkably cheap bikes with very little fix up. Most people simply do not know how to maintain a bike, and sell them for cheap to get rid of them, I've had at least three where the issue was simply draining out bad oil that was sitting and replacing it. Something small power wise to get used to riding helps as well, a 250 is a nice bit of power without going gung ho and what I currently have for cruising around.

Hmm thanks for the info.  I'll be riding mostly around the city.

 

Was considering a Yamaha R3.  Around where I am a new one from the dealer is actually the same price as one used.

there was some old rock song I heard on the radio the other day... I could've sworn they were saying the word "f-word describing gay people; or a cigarette if you're a Brit apparently" over and over in there (*I only really tip-toe around actually saying/writing that because that word is seemingly banned everywhere on the net except perhaps youtube comments, where anything goes...which is why I am always entertained by youtube comments, btw) ....I hate that I cannot remember the name or even anything else about it other than that... I intended to look it up online to check the lyrics for sure...hopefully they'll play it again.  It's a station that only plays "classic rock" (usually 70s and 80s era; occasionally early 90s)  It was so bizarre, because I kept thinking that would've been a no-no word for radio back then and definitely today.

 

There's also a song by 3 Doors Down where the chorus sounds like they are saying "Fuck Me Like That", though the actual chorus line is "If I could be like that"....noooooo way that shit is an accident man 🤣

The latest from Snort... apparently some banners Phil was using turned out to have Tevin's face hidden in them.  Leanna was hidden away in one of them too 😄 

 

 

On another note...every time the summer starts, it reminds me of how awesome childhood was... school would be out, and you were free to do absolutely nothing for a good 2.5 months or so.  It was incredible, man.... I'd watch USA Cartoon Express in the mornings while eating some breakfast mom cooked (lucky me; both parents and both grandmas were/are quite skilled in that kitchen, so my meal situation as a kid was covered no matter what)... then either play with toys, games or play outside...check out Price is Right at 10 am, then back to playing the rest of the day...perhaps get a nap around noon but wake up for the afternoon cartoons.  Nothing beat that summer vacation, man.  As working adults though we can still get some of that fun time back by simply taking off work mainly in the summertime.  I'm intending to take a good chunk of time off around the time Vampyr comes out, of course....which leads nicely right into E3 week.  Ohhhh it will be glorious.

Unfortunately he's not.

I tried to recruit some og srk guys like sonichuman,sonicabid,etc. a few weeks ago.

But they had varying reasons saying they wanted to support og srk after the Cannons decided to keep it running after all the complaints.

Sonicabid said that the vgame thread was dead here, and that og srk is more active.

 

To be honest, while og srk is more active, its activity has dwindled compared to the Vanilla era imo.

The lounge thread and the vgame thread used to be active as heck ,now those threads go almost 1/2 a day without posts.

 

There is also the problem of the fracturing of SRK into SRK1, SRK2, Discord room A, Discord room B.

It feels like the death of Superman arc in some ways.

A lot of classic posters like Shaft Agent, Manx, Thurst have vanished totally. RockB comitted pornicide on og srk and his account was wiped from existence like something out of Back to the Future.

It is nice to see AYO return from exile onto SRK2 though.

 

I still hate the interface of OG SRK, but I still post there occasionally.

It is cool to see some folks like Million, darc requiem, hawkingbird, chadouken post on both.

 

I probably have posted more on here in recent months bc I enjoy the layout here and am trying to stir up more dscussion as a means of "resurrecting" the pre-discourse feel of SRK.

We've had steady growth for months now, but as with all forums most people don't post.

 

No rush.  Just keep checking in from time to time and posting when you feel like it -- things will grow if we keep up at it.  As with most things you can't really rush community participation and it has to grow organically.

I watched Beast Wars as a guilty pleasure when I was a kid -- I knew it was corny as hell but I had nothing else to watch early in the morning when it aired.  I thought it was really cool when:

I don't remember quite how that plot played out but I think I was forever scarred afterwards when they went really weird and had a rat with wheels instead of legs, among other things.
