On a slightly related note---one reason I think most women could never possibly understand the frustration of being a male in this whole "man/woman interaction thing"....is that they generally come from a life of privilege, at least in that particular aspect of life.  Think about it for a second--- even a very "average" looking woman is a being that spends most of her life, including childhood (via "crushes" from her peers) being considered to be "desirable" by a long line of potential suitors...and they have it like this until they hit the proverbial wall of middle-age deterioration of looks.  A lot of dudes like to pretend they have it like that too (*I chalk that up to typical machismo/bravado), but I think most people know that's not really the case for a dude unless you are absolute top tier....like you were already looking like a prime time tv star by age 13 or so. 

 

So.... they naturally cannot comprehend the situation of being truly "undesirable" by nearly everyone until they are at least late 40s or even into their 50s.  It's like how a person who has been naturally athletic all their lives cannot comprehend what it's like to be a fat, lazy slob....or a person that is tone deaf will never understand what it's like to be a great singer.

currently watching another repeat of this show I never get tired of... Vampire Diaries... "Haley" (Phoebe Tonkin) was SO damn fine back then in season 4... back then she had a little more meat on those bones.  In recent years on Originals she got even skinnier, and looks kinda anorexic at times....not a good look.  I'd still ravage though.  

 

oh hey this episode was the beginning of Bonnie and Jeremy being into each other, it looks like.... great thing about a show that went on for a long time is that it's still like "new" when you go back and watch the whole thing over again after some years.

 

Heh, Klaus just went on another murderous rampage.... good stuff, man.

Ohooooooo and here it is... this was THE episode where Klaus killed an especially important person... big time moment of evil greatness.... holy shit the shock value of this is still good even now....and they ended the episode with that jaw-dropper of a kill... as "Have Yourself A Merry Little Christmas" plays eerily in the background.  Damn I will forever love this show, man.  Niklaus Mikaelson = one of the greatest vampire/hybrid villains of all time, folks.

oh hell yeah it's almost that time for more time off... I plan to take a few days off around the release date of  Vampyr [June 5]... which leads nicely right into E3.  Sheeeeit, I'll stock up on a lot of groceries as well, so I don't even have to go outside for as long as possible over the "stay-cation".... days of living out some vamp fantasies in that game, laying around and eating, surfin the net (pornnnnn) checking some daytime soaps/tv, more gaming and sleep..oh and the live E3 coverage... the way life was intended.

 

Last night, in Dreamland--- I had one of those strange "double-layer" dreams... I was doing some mundane "regular life" stuff then went to sleep in the dream....yes, I actually had a dream inside a dream.  It just got more bizarre as it went on... I actually realized I was dreaming....but couldn't instantly start doing godlike shit as expected with any lucid dream.  At that point I was thinking that perhaps it was because I was in this deeper, "2nd level" dream?  ...that perhaps awareness doesn't grant the same level of godlike powers and possibilities at that point...?  Then the skeptical side was thinking nah that can't be it... but something's definitely wrong since I'm aware of the dream, yet I cannot fly, warp reality or zip around at super speed like what is "normal" for me in lucid dreaming.... then I was wondering if I woke up, would I then be back in Dream #1... or awake for real?  So many questions, then of course I woke up (for real) at that point.

y'know one of the little things that grinds my gears (besides that tiresome phrase itself).... in the whole "nice guy vs. asshole" topic?  When people instantly try to shoot down any "nice guy" points by claiming the fact that you self-identify as a "nice guy" automatically means you are NOT that.  Yeah fuck you, you dogshit ass morons.  It is amazing to me how goddamn stupid most human beings are.  This is why it's usually a waste of time to bother debating/arguing anything with anyone....because most people are too stupid for it to be of any value, and no one's opinion will be swayed anyway....and people are usually incredibly close-minded to anything outside their own opinion.  Anyway, I can say some pretty mean-spirited shit on forums on occasion, but it is very much a fact that just about anyone who knows me in real life would characterize me as a generally "nice guy"....often in the "too nice" category......but the moment I describe myself as such, then that means I'm somehow not that, right?  Yeah ok whatever.  

 

I think some of this bullshit stems from the fact that when it comes to any topic of men vs. women, people always want to blame anything negative on the man at all cost.  The woman isn't allowed to be seen in a negative light in any topic for any reason, not even for a second.  That guy that got stabbed in the shower by the woman in that famous case... I'll bet there's some morons out there that would blame the shit on him....because she can't simply be a crazy, evil piece of trash, y'know...nah, can't have that.  They're all perfect angels that are never wrong.

Damn@DangerousJ.  I was going to post that one.  Yeah, she better watch her step though.  The previous Princess was well liked and she got hounded into a wall at over 100 mph.  If she tries some kind of ratchet shit over there, it might not work out too well for her.  Just sayin.

so they made Lando a "pansexual" from what I'm reading on the net lately... this reminded me that this is a silly ass term anyway.  There was 3 descriptive terms for what a person is attracted to, and they cover everything....at least everything that is legal (*bestiality is still illegal last I heard).  Either a person is heterosexual, homosexual or bisexual.  

 

...it took a minute but I realized the apparent logic behind it....apparently pansexual also includes the weirdo combinations, like a person being attracted to a "trans-man" or "trans-woman" or "non-conforming ze" whatever....but isn't it some silly shit at that point?  That is insane with the specific categorizations there.  Why wouldn't that fall under the category of the aforementioned gay/bisexual label anyway?  These people need a special new label for everything, I guess.....every possibility.

 

...so you know where that leads---"P" will probably be the next letter added to the giant acronym...so it will be LGBTQAP+, and it will be funny because at first glance people may think the "P" is for the kiddie-lovers out there, and it will always need immediate clarification. 🤣

Honestly original Teen Titans had its serious moments, but it's not like that show wasn't dorky already.

 

Thundercats already tried a 'serious' reboot in 2011 and it failed so bad nobody even remembers it.  He-man serious reboot failed badly too and that one was done well.  For something like Thundercats which has 0 relevancy for most people under 30 I'm not surprised.

 

I don't think it's that big of a deal.  The old cartoon isn't going anywhere.  If this is the only way for new people to experience these characters then so be it.

I'll watch it a bit to get a feel for it but let's be real, this ain't the Thundercats ya'll grew up with and that's fine. Not everything has to be a copy paste...having said that, the guy behind this...looks like a pretentious douche. Seriously, he has his hair tied up with a hair tie he looks like he took from his little sister.

I'm not a fan of that ugly ass "Steven Universe" looking art style, man... I've seen worse out there in animation-land, sure...but that's just not my thing.

 

I still fondly remember the recent Thundercats show... I loved it, and it was a damn shame it got cancelled.  It was part of that new era where CN suddenly stopped sucking ass for a minute.... started off as a Friday night action-block alongside Young Justice and I think Green Lantern and/or Symbionic Titan...that whole lineup was awesome.  Then CN apparently remembered that they are supposed to be lame and they pissed it all away as usual; moving the shit to Saturday mornings....which wasn't exactly a bad idea but it wasn't long after that they killed all of those shows.

 

edit--- man, sometimes it pays off in nostalgia to listen to the radio occasionally... I loved this song back in '97....forgot about until the station played it while I was on the way home today... had to turn that one up...

The 2011 Thundercats reboot was solid and actually had pretty good ratings. It was actually given the go ahead for a season 2. However the renewal, like Young Justice, was rescinded due to toy sales.

heh, it was cool that they had the original VA for Lion-O back to voice this new Lion-O's father....there was many things I enjoyed about the modern Thundercats.... old-era Cheetarah was hotter though.

 

At the time, I was hoping that the newer Thundercats would be a good enough hit that Silverhawks would then get the "remake" treatment as well.
