I don't doubt that there's going to be some reservations on her especially after her debut and the ending of Bayo 3. I'm not in that camp but I get it. The Rare games were a pleasant surprise along with the Penny shadow drop. Wasn't expecting anything amazing so it being overall meh met my expectations. 2 things though...thwy didn't show the new trailer for Contra for whatever reason and Mother 3 is coming to NSO in Japan only. So...I can imagine the EB fans over here feeling some way about that as per usual. Edit: also as Wellman says the rumor timeline of events has shifted again. So possibly next is indie direct then main Direct in April that may now not be the reveal date successor now. Saying it's gonna get delayed to June. Again grain of salt and all that. We know Bayo is Kamiya's baby since he started it but he'd been taking more of a backseat to the games since Bayo 2. What will be more interesting will be how the next game will shape without him looking over it or giving any input at all on it. I think a good chunk of the team over there have worked under Kamiya enough that they probably have a sense of what makes good combat in the series and story is whatever...I don't think this is a Kojima situation where he leaves and most of the great ideas/people involved go with him. We still don't know exactly how the exclusivity deal is working out but if I'm hazarding a guess those Bayo 2 and Bayo 3 are essentially being made on Nintendo's dime and they're funding making those games along with the special version of Bayo 1 with the costumes in it. And I'm sure the contract is probably similar to W101's that they can't put it on any other platform unless Nintendo gives the go ahead to do so. Sega probably gets a small cut as the IP owner but they benefit in not having to do pretty much anything while most of the onus is on Platinum and Nintendo. RSG3 1 Quote Link to comment

It isn't a big seller but Bayonetta 2 and 3 both sold over a million on the Switch which is good by Nintendo margins for non Mario, Pokemon, Zelda or Animal Crossing performances. Nintendo owns the publishing rights to Bayonetta 2 and 3. For how long? Not sure, It's been while since Bayo 2 dropped and Sega has not released it elsewhere. What's worse is these type of lunatics are getting themselves involved in an official capacity at some of these IPs. Creators need to keep tighter controls over their works whenever possible.
