Welp, the season ended and was whelming 😅

    Under. . . . underwhelming.

That was the most mediocre shit I have seen. There was ABSOLUTELY no need for that to have been a series. Even if it was a film, NOTHING HAPPENED!

It's pretty clear they recut things for Ray Stevenson's passing. He was the best thing in the show and he is somehow forgotten.

As it went on felt more like a toy unboxing than a TV series. At this point, the best piece of Disney's run at Star Wars was a show that didn't feature a lightsaber.

I just finished binging the show and I can assure you that Annette isn't that. I like this take on Annette. Maria's mother Tera is far more like classic Annette.

    Some show spoilers.

      Reveal hidden contents

It was cool seeing an elderly Juste show up even if his game and story were ass.

I'm mad that only one track from the game was used. The show rendition of Divine Bloodlines is good.

Poor Tera. She ended up getting the ending where she becomes a vampire to save Maria.

Alucard showing up in the ending was hype.

Overall, I thought the show was amazing. It's far more action packed than previous show and they still managed to have the great character work.

The first series has a FAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAR better hook in the first episode but I sincerely enjoyed it. Can't wait for Season 2

    EDIT -

I looked online after viewing and noticed that the show has a pretty low audience score.

This series is still is the best video game adaptation to date. I look at it this way, if you want a 1:1 recreation of the thing you saw, you're better off just playing the thing again.

  3. Me and pre-orders on the Transformers front have been terrible. Via Amazon, I  missed out on the Gamer Edition Prime (BKA Optimus Prime from the War for Cybertron game)  and now the Animated Legacy one. Animated Prime is still available at most other retailers, yet they charge shipping. Gamer Edition Prime is going to be a re-pack with the upcoming wave.

Ray Stevenson is the highlight of the show. Thus far he's the best thing by far. I like Shin Hati but her character lacks the obvious depth of Baylan. It's really unfortunate that Ray passed away so young. Not just for this show, he was just a damn good actor. May he Rest in Peace.

His demeanor is perfect. He seems like the premier example of a "Dark Jedi".  This little exchange with his mannerisms was spot on character work.

Morgan Elsbeth: Is that a note of fear in your voice?

    Baylan Skoll: Experience.

I agree that we need more of Baylan Skoll and Shin Hati.

The fact that I know we won't be getting another run with Ray Stevenson as Skoll hurts. He's great in every scene.

    Marrok theories . . . .

and I'm perfectly OK with it.

The duels in this show seem to be pretty solid. It feels like the combatants are actually trying to hurt each other.

Something unique that I wonder if it will be explained in-show are the saber color choices. Skoll and Hati's sabers are orange vs. Sith red.

Y'know, when some dudes have the general look to get away with going bald...and they're losing hair, I don't get why they keep trying to hold on to whatever is left when they probably *can* get away with the look, especially considering that some women do indeed like it (*in case that's the concern).  I noticed in F&F's latest vids/appearances for a while now that it appears Myron was either using that weird "coloring" technique or had some hairplugs/implants or something going on, because it was noticeable that things were starting to look pretty thin in the hairline department previously.  Tim Pool is another one I thought of that seems to be weird about his balding status... there was footage of him looking seriously pissed when some dude suddenly snatched his hat off in public (a bit of a shitty thing to do, imo---I'm sure he did that specifically because people know that's an "issue" for him).....eh, just embrace that shit and shave the rest of it off; own the look.

Balding is a sign of aging. Like it or not, men are conscious about that.

My barber let me know when I was in the chair for a cut that I was starting to thin out at the top. I was 28 at the time. I told her to go ahead and give me a really low Caesar. After that I started shaving my head.

So my neighbor bebops to me and "says hey we heard about what's going on with your wife, I wanted to give you a few personal recommendations". I immediately knew where this was going. I had to restrain myself from the "FUQ IS THIS SHIT" retort. Why this dude start quoting the Dr. Sebi playbook? It irks me when people make those claims and don't understand that cancer is a unique situation and the stuff you bought from Vitamin Shoppe isn't it.

Because decades ago car companies pushed to make the car the main method of transportation in the US, and now US trains suck/most people don't even want to try them.

Trains are super sick in other countries and will probably always be trash here.  gg

I've taken the train once. It's certainly more comfortable than most other commercial transit options. My gripe was that it took 9 hours to get to somewhere 4 hours away. A freight train was stuck and they have the priority on the railways.

Nah, there are lot of things on Disney+ that I haven't watched though. I never watched Love & Thunder, GotG3, and Wakanda Forever either. The latter, I'm never watching. I only lucked into Ashoka. I woke up at 2am. Couldn't sleep and noticed Youtube reviews going up for it. So since I was up anyway. I watched it.

The last two of the three movies you mentioned are at least worth a watch. Love and Thunder doesn't deserve to exist.

As many have mentioned, Andor is the pinnacle of Disney Star Wars content. I need that to be one of the series that gets an eventual physical release.

After watching Episode 2, it wouldn't surprise me that the cloaked figure . . .

    Spoiler

    is Ezra.

I'm glad you're all home, man! Congrats again, on being a new dad! It's a game changer.

It sure is. You just look at your kid in amazement at all times of the day. To see the way he looks at the world with amazement when I carry him through the house is the stuff dreams are made of.

    Indeed.

In one year, he'll have to put a lock on the Masterpiece Transformers shelf.

I'm thinking of ways now 🤣

His boy is going to break into that shelf. They're gonna call it "Optimus Crime"

I've kept in touch with a YT reviewer that I met several years ago at a TF convention who now has a 9-year-old. I asked him how does he teach his son NOT to bother with his collection. His response was "at a very early age, teach them to look with your eyes and not with your hands."
