You'd be shocked how much arguing goes into deciding the guidelines for medical screenings.  Like to the point "are we screening too much?" is an annual shouting match, and one of the reasons insurance companies give when people ask them why they won't pay for more screening tests.

You'll be fine. I had one early. After Chadwick Boseman died, I wasn't taking any chances. The worse thing is the day before to be honest. They'll give you something to clean out your system.

It basically makes you shit water for hours. It was annoying. I eventually grabbed my Switch and sat on the toilet. It's a really odd feeling.

The colonoscopy itselt wasn't bad at all. Your wife will have to drive you home though.

Colon cancer, IIRC, causes teh most cancer deaths in men. I think it's number 2 for women. They found something when my mom got checked few years ago. If she didn't get checked, I may have lost two parents to cancer by now.

I saw a post on Twitter that ....I wasn't sure but didn't doubt was real so I decided to toss it into google to double check it.

Apparently this was put up 3 days ago?   It's not like anyone would have really noticed any major difference in the past month? year?  Well I mean the damn wasn't even leaking leaking really at this point it was pretty much fully eroded and the only thing now is just a steady flow lol

 

And I definitely clicked on the original tweet that came across my timeline and looked down in the replies and was like ".....yyyup..."

It's already bad enough that there's so many god damn bots and ads in responses to shit that has nothing to do with the original post that this is literally a shrug moment right moment at this point.  It's almost hilarious that the amount of people popping up in comments with "LINK IN BIO" or "Look what I can do with this pipe" etc don't even realize that they're not really giving a reason to even pay money to their OF since I could easily type what I want in Twitter and get it OR....NOT EVEN ATTEMPT TO TYPE IT AND GET IT ANYWAY.  Someone should make a game for twitter right now on how long can someone go WITHOUT running into porn.

 

I hope Elon knows that this is likely going to drive down traffic as a whole to the site cause god forbid someone is hanging out at lunch at work and they're just browsing discourse on whether Lebron is the GOAT or not and they scroll down and catch a post about "WHY DON'T YOU SHOOT YOUR BALLS IN MY BASKET!?" and it's some chick spread eagle literally dunking her fingers into herself.  SMH

That's true. I'm just thinking that a lot of health issues today. Is the result of our screwed up diets and Frankenstein food most other countries don't classify as food and ban. That warrants some of the check ups and perscription drugs etc. And correct me if I'm wrong. But those in the pharmaceutical and food production industries help fund the FDA. The very group that OKs their bullshit.

No idea if it's what's he's talking about, but screening tests have their own costs and risks- so the question "how many people is this going to help" is a real one.

 

Like with the colonoscopy- a tiny number of people are going to end up with a perforated colon from it, and some of those people will die from that.  You need to figure out how many people you're going to save from cancer before you can even do that math.

The food thing is actually way overblown pretty much everything you can find here you can find anywhere else in the world. 

 

And yea I'm not saying there isn't risk to testing, Rets point was very much on point as he elaborates above, I'm just also saying that the rise in left handed people coincides with when we stopped demonizing left hands. 

 

We don't know what we weren't finding back then because we didn't know to find it. That's all. 

 

There's deffinitly a worry to being over tested, waste really trying to deny that.

I just heard the news about democrats changing their stance on the border policies, speficially on the southern side

 

Are they just trying to give republicans a win in  November? 

Call me crazy but maybe, JUST MAYBE, essentially basing your entire campaign on "Trump bad" for a third fucking time in a row isn't going to work as well as they seemingly hope 

 

Don't get me started on the clown fiesta that were dnc debates 4 years ago or how the recent trump trial is only further riling up donnie's voter base on top of everything else that's been happening in America for the past 8 years

I've been saying for decades America needs more choices at the ballot. It's impossible to enact change when the two parties don't do much about change so that they can say to their base, "At least we're not those piece of shits on the other side of the aisle" every 4 years.

 

Sadly, the choices America has outside the big 2 are someone who admittedly has cognitive decline due to a FUCKING WORM EATING HIS BRAIN, and the Libertarian Party who thought it would be a good idea for some fucking reason to invite Trump to speak at their convention, because apparently they weren't happy having lost credibility in 2016?

This will steer away advertisers as well. Most of the artists I follow have been promoting their other social media accounts, so I believe the art community is ready to duck out of X soon.

Do you have a family, or live in a place where ticket prices are crazy? I thought people were broke talking about high ticket prices until I saw John Campea (on one of his podcasts) go on AMC to book a Dolby ticket* and it cost 21 bucks.

 

*it was to prove a point about ticket costs and other things killing the movie industry.
