The MEGASHOCK Saloon Thread 3: Chinder Chagger Edition

Recommended Posts

Doesn't even have to be a violence issue or a personal boundary, like maybe I'm watching the girlfriends grandkid and I don't feel like having that conversation with an 8 year old that isn't mine lol. Thanks for the heads up I'll put on Oliver & Company instead or something.

It's a 5 second blurb that gives you a little more info to make a decision on, thats all.

Like I don't wanna be the guy who sends the kid home terrified as fuck because the cover of The Brave Little Toaster is a fucking LIIIIIIEEEEEEEEE.

Why is MAGA pissed off at Taylor Swift?

I've been asking this question for awhile but supposedly they view her as a threat just because she voiced some things here and there against some republican people running in races, voiced concerns about women health care, and told people to go out and vote (didn't say who to vote for...just go vote).

She's really barely done anything but they're just afraid of her influence on people in an election even though she's barely been politically active.  Personally?  I just want them to stop talking about her at the football games.  I don't even watch football like talking about and it was super annoying when I was watching with my folks and they kept shifting the camera up to the box  with her in it.  WHO FUCKING CARES!?

I've read somewhere that Taylor Swift assisting Chiefs' games has actually generated them a revenue of over $300M during this season alone. So KC is hoping that Kelce and Taylor better stick so they can keep taking in that sweet Swiftie $$$$

Yea the NFL cares a lot about Taylor, she's generating them a fuck load of money, social clout, and social awareness just by showing up and fucking the QB or whoever.

Taylor Swift is the best thing to happen to the NFL in like 20 years, at least. The numbers are up across the board cuz suddenly Swifties give a fuck about Football lol.

You just know the coach hounds him in the locker room. "You bought her flowers right? Valentines day is coming up, what you got planned? That's it? Bitch, come on, do better. Don't fuck this relationship up, will be bad for your career on multiple levels son."

Since we cannot stop talking about a skinny white girl. WOMEN WEDNESDAY.

They've been deep faking women's faces on porn star's bodies for years. Their already should have been something the books to address this. I mean it's filtered down so far that kids are creating fake images/videos of their classmates. When it's happening to teen girls at school it's crickets but now that it's affecting Taylor Swift they're doing something!? Don't get me wrong, I'm glad they are finally getting off their ass. But damn, they are YEARS late to the party on this one. Maybe if we had politicians that weren't 10,000 years older than sand, they be aware this type of stuff.

This all started after Disney publicly spoke out against Florida’s “Don’t Say Gay Bill,” which targets and prevents the discussion of gender and sexual identity in the state’s public schools. Shortly after that, DeSantis began the process of stripping Disney of its special district status, which allowed the company to maintain its own roads, power and water utilities, and other financial benefits.

When DeSantis’ hand-appointed district council tried to shut down Disney’s attempt to hold on to control, the Mickey Mouse company’s army of lawyers filed a lawsuit against DeSantis in April 2023. This sparked a months-long feud between the former presidential hopeful and the entertainment monolith. And now, a judge has tossed out Disney’s case, setting back the company’s fight to hold onto control of the district where Disney World resides.

On Wednesday, Northern District Court of Florida judge Allen Winsor said that Disney lacked standing to file the lawsuit. The judge ruled that Disney’s claim of injury resulting from the newly appointed board members was “in the past.” The judge also explained that the company failed to show damages from any specific actions the new board has taken or because of DeSantis’ alleged interference.

“In fact, Disney has not alleged any specific injury from any board action,” Winsor, who was nominated by then-President Donald Trump in 2018 and sworn into his position the following year, said.

A Disney spokesperson provided the following statement to NBC:

Quote

This is an important case with serious implications for the rule of law, and it will not end here. If left unchallenged, this would set a dangerous precedent and give license to states to weaponize their official powers to punish the expression of political viewpoints they disagree with. We are determined to press forward with our case.

Disney will likely continue to fight DeSantis and the Florida government over the district and resulting decisions by its new council. But for now, Mickey Mouse has taken a court-ordered gut punch and will probably need to catch his breath for a bit.
