  1. Time for a new phone. RIght now I am inbetween the Pixel 4a 5G and the Pixel 5. There is a $200 difference between the two. The differences that the 5 has for more money are:

    • 90Hz refresh rate
    • (Slightly) larger battery
    • 5G Ultra band radio
    • 2GB more RAM
    • Wireless charging
    • Reverse wireless charging
    • as an IP rating

    Anyone here have either device?

Outside of Spiderman, what are dudes trying to play on PS5?

Playing through some of my PS4 titles and Spider-Man: Remastered. I never played the DLC missions, so this wasn't a bad deal for me to grab it. I will be waiting for the patch that will allow the player to transfer their save to the PS5 version.

meanwhile, here's the time-stamp of when the shot of Phil's setup was revealed, as he went to set up the PS5...for those who were morbidly curious of just how awful it is.. [from "LSB"'s re-stream]

    How is he still relevant?

    EDIT -

@DangerousJWelp, guess I should have bet on SS Jetfire

  3. PS5 Early Adopter Comments-

Looks like the console has some database issues with Spider-man when you are resuming from power off. I just saw an update came through last night for the game so this may correct the issue. Didn't read the patch notes to see what it was, but the version number didn't cycle up much higher.

I also had a problem transferring game data over. The hard drive I used likely had errors on it coming from the PS4 since it''s been rebuilt a countless number of times. This only applies to game data and not saves (which transferred fine).

Honestly these are relatively minor and appear to be software related.

Re back pockets: ever since my brain surgery and not being able to use my left side all that well I’ve had a hard time with back pockets. It’s not impossible it’s just no ideal. So I keep wallet, phone, etc in my left front pocket.

it also serves as a weird sensory detector so I know where my leg is when I’m walking and how hard I’m planting that leg.

I've had to make my wallet thinner. Keeping it in my back pocket while seated made things uncomfortable. I didn't realize it till one day I left my wallet at home and didn't have any back pain.

Not travel plans but I got invited to a thanksgiving dinner. Pretty low key. Only 4 people (including myself) will be there.

im using it as an excuse to bake desserts.

I wanna try to tackle sweet potato pie. Also gunna make a mixed berry cobbler.

The plan (as of 11/14) was to travel to SC to see the inlaws. It's that whole household and us and they have been pretty contained on their own. I am monitoring the situation in the State. I told my wife that we may have to pivot since people are still being jackasses about this whole thing.

  6. Beat Spidey: Miles.

While the game is shorter I feel that it's a bit more focused. The main antagonist motivations have some modern day commentary. Overall I enjoyed where the story went as all of the character connections landed where they needed to.

Gameplay wise it feels the same but different enough where you have a few new tricks. Never played Uncharted Lost Legacy, but given the description in terms of scale, I can see why that is an apt comparison.

My only gripes are that it crashed my PS5 twice and you can't skip the credits (well the first large portion).

    Solid recommend

EDIT- I leveled up my character to the build I wanted  and worked from there. This did require completing all of the training challenges.

Thinking about the length of the game, I feel there is less to do (not a bad thing ). For example the taking pictures hunt is not a thing. if it is, I missed the whole thing.

  7. I was playing Spider-Man: Miles and the game crashed on me. The bigger problem is that the console shutdown and had to reset the display. When it rebooted, I hovered over the game and it did the same thing. So my thought is that it's something specific to that game and not the console itself. I deleted the data on the system and will reinstall later tonight. I'll keep you all posted.

I'd like to say I hope he doesn't sell 3/4 of his stock and he ends up being stuck with them unable to return but people are too thirsty out here.  He'll make his money because the impatient people enable him.

This will likely be the case. The only true negative is that this is the holiday season. Most stores grant you till Jan 16 to return.

This is also a perfect example of why you can only mitigate scalpers but you can never truly stop them.

True. For Transformer releases, Hasbro started doing Captchas to stop scalpers from depleting the stock.  I am surprised that Best Buy hasn't done something similar.

Miles is fucking dope. I played through the first part in fidelity mode, which is default, and it looks amazing. I'm gonna switch it over to performance and get that 4K 60fps experience going when I boot it up again.

That one mod where you get the same animation movement frame rate as in Spider-verse is a cool thing. The intro for the game got me hyped up for play.

Still hate this Equate-version of Tom Holland as Peter Parker.
