Because for some that's how you find your place in the market. Sometimes appealing to the masses can mean competing with companies/people that have so much appeal that you'll never get noticed. From a niche (yes even a gimmick) you can grow bigger and begin to expand from there.

I wish they had mentioned some instances of racism.

 

I remember Al-Khwarizmi, one of the fathers of mathematics, was on the cover of algebra books, and I just don't see him as a white supremacist.

Well, for a change I went with 2 gym classes (1-hour each) back to back this time, and surprisingly did alright in keeping that calorie burn up.  There was 30 minutes of downtime between them so that ended up being a good enough rest....so I may do this again more often.  Of course I had water, some juice and bananas to "refuel" between the classes there (*also had my Switch to play Dawn of the Monsters for a bit).... ended up with a bit over 2000 calorie burn total. Sheeeitttt, I might be taking over that #1 spot on the gym leaderboards for this month then if I keep up that pace.

In book 2 (Dragons of Fate), something happens...

Basically, flashpoint. Raistlin ends up wearing the black robes when he comes back to the Dragons of Autumn Twilight time period . Most of you will say, "so what, he does anyways in the old books." The twist is that Caramon also wears the armor of the Blue Dragon Army!!!!

 

Book 3 is called Dragons of Destiny (comes out in 2024 or 2025).

Driving almost 2 hours back from a comedy show last night, I got a little sleepy on the road and drank a Red Bull just to be safe. I'm still up now. Like, I could get in bed and try to go to sleep, but I already know it wouldn't happen. I just know the crash later is going to be devastating.

Yeah, basically it's the lore of Dungeons & Dragons (at least one of the 1st canon stories for D&D). I've noticed that the Mortal Kombat lore borrowed as well. Believe there was an interview where Dan Pesina mentioned that himself, his brother, John Tobias, and several other who worked on Mortal Kombat were avid D&D fans. So, you can basically say that Mortal Kombat loosely stemmed from D&D as well as other influences.

 

I can loosely see how Shang Tsung is loosely borrowed from a black robe or even Raistlin himself.

Damn, this year has been quite grim.

1st on February the elder sister of my mom died.

Then on July another brother of her died.

 

Now, today, one of the younger sisters of my father died, she had a stroke on September and fell into a coma after an aneurysm the day after the stroke, despite of that she was recovering but yesterday had another stroke and today well, she passed away.

 

It sucks, but most of those complications steamed from her heart problems and she stopping taking the medicine for like 1 or 2 months.

Her arrhythmia made the 1st stroke to devolve into something worse, and unfortunately making the doctors not take immediate action due the risk she not surviving any procedure before having the aneurysm 😕
