    Yeah it was a different time. If I recall correctly I joined sometime in 2014. Twitter wasn’t as ubiquitous for FG stuff, Discord either wasn’t around or was still in it’s infancy and wasn’t a great resource for anything, and I didn’t even know about Reddit. There were wikis and YT guides, but for actually interacting with other serious players SRK was a godsend.

    Main opinion I remember hearing about SRK was that it was elitist lol. 
     

    To me the biggest thing about SRK that people would not miss words when telling you were bad or wrong about something. Nothing was sugarcoated and i could definitely see how the place would come across as mean to a fresh face. I lurked a long time before joining because I didn’t want to get aired out lol.

    If you want to save space you can buy a set of those adjustable dumbbells. My mom owns a set that go from like 5-25lbs, and they sell ones on Amazon that go from 25-50+, though and those are a bit expensive.

    I’m gonna say something really out of pocket…but being gay seems 100 times better when it comes to dating. 
     

    No worries about getting pregnant, WAY less bullshit courting just straight to smashing, not having to initiate every single encounter, etc. I suppose the downsides are that your pool much smaller, but seems like the pool you do have is much easier to work with. Don’t have to worry about apps being all dudes bc that’s who you’re looking for!
     

    Maybe someone who’s actually gay can comment lol. I’m sure the discrimination sucks but I’m already used to dealing with that.

    There is a chasm the size of the Grand Canyon between being super white (no offense lol)  and having to be “ghetto/a thug”. You can be black (and desire black people) with reducing yourself to the most basic and negative stereotype. 
     

    People want people like them. If your balls deep in the hood then yeah maybe being a hood dude will land you some ratchets. But being black =/= being ghetto. 
     

    Even IF you believe that being a thug = winning with black women, one would do better to understand why that is the case and see what of those behaviors they can mimic in a healthy manner instead of crying on the internet. Easy example, hood dudes are confident, and we all know how women like that. They also don’t whine about women not liking them lol.

    I’m good at SF and enjoy Mortal Kombat just fine lol. 
     

    Also most Mortal Kombat players are casuals who like it for gore and dumb single player stuff. They don’t even care about being good at Mortal Kombat, let alone Street Fighter lol

    Yeah I never had an issue finding matches till yesterday, but according to Steam it’s been like a year since I last played.

    I’d say it makes decisions easy just as often as if forces hard choices lol. The gap between the good moves and the bad moves is enormous, so you usually end up ignoring like half the choices. 
     

    I was looking at Sub’s custom stuff, and some of the choices are hilariously bad. Like who would ever choose to replace Slide, which is probably the best low special in the game and has his most important character-specific Krushing Blow? Or alternatively every Mileena player using command grab and extra strings because they those two choices are better than all the others combined lol.

    JFC I forgot how dog water the variation system in MK11 is. 
     

    Scorpion has a grand total of two specials without his variation slots lol. He also can’t equip his extra kombos without also equipping death spin for some reason.
