Kick is a Twitch competitor. They made news earlier this year because the poached a couple of big name Twitch streamers with big sign on bonuses and is known for the far more favorable revenue split. Kick is 95/5, Youtube is 70/30, and Twitch is 50/50. How sustainable their split is the question. That said, if you are a big streamer taking a bag from Kick getting 95% of your revenue until it comes crashing down seems like a smart move to me.

For added context, this particular streamer has been harassing people in Japan for a while now. Filming people when they don’t want to, calling them slurs, and even touching them. Whether this guy knew is unknown, but he definitely deserved it.

It would be funny to see the same happen to that guy in London who's known for pulling random outrageous "pranks" on people....I forgot his name but he had the one clip where he just casually walked up inside a couple's home while the woman was outside in the garden and the guy was in the house.  I keep thinking he'd be dead SO fast if this were certain places in the U.S. where that nonsense happened.

 

totally random note--- Lately I've wondered, every time I see people on the motorized scooters in a store... if they really need to use that... like what's the % of them that are only using it because they're just too lazy to walk around the store?  I bet there's some who are actually just using that shit out of convenience/laziness, which is sad....but also funny to me.  They would be people who help prove the "fat lazy American" stereotype to be true.

Gonna go watch Sound of Freedom in a pair of hours.

I am surprised my mother wanted to see it, since after her time as a prosecutor for the cases involving kids both national and international with interpol, she became kind of sensible to that kind of things, so she usually avoids series and movies regarding the subject since it hits so close to home for her (suffice to say, she saw some heinous shit), it is why she never watched The Alienist, despite loving all the actors involved.

I've been fascinated with these creatures and lore ever since getting into BG3

so cool... such a species would be nearly unstoppable in reality...since psychic/psionic power is always top-tier shit in terms of powers.  Natural immunity to their psionic abilities (like what the "Gith" people eventually developed apparently) would be the only real hope against them.

Rep. Lauren Boebert (R-CO) was kicked out of a performance of Beetlejuice the musical on Sunday after she allegedly vaped, caused a “disturbance,” and asked staff, “Do you know who I am?” Denver’s 9News obtained security footage and posted on YouTube, which you can see above.

 

According to the Denver Post, Boebert was escorted out of the performance in Denver, along with one other person, after three people made complaints about the congresswoman being loud and taking photos on her phone.

Boebert was also accused of vaping during the performance — an accusation the congresswoman has denied.

Nah...this is def a cost cutting measure to try to deter people from getting more drink than the first serving they got.

haha that's definitely a cost-cutting measure from McDonalds.  I'm surprised it took any fast-food place this long to shut that down....since people can just keep returning for "free refills" while they are inside the place.  At the very least it would be the smart play to get that 1 extra full refill after your meal, before leaving.

The real crime is what they charge for a Big Mac Meal in 2023. Highway robbery man. 

Fast Food Restaurants like McDonalds have low gross margins. There isn't a lot of margin in their sell prices for their food items. If you want to make money on franchise, you go with a pizza franchise. There is a high gross margin on pizza. Granted I haven't worked for either places in decades, but if a burger cost say $2.00 the profit would be $0.25. If a Pizza was $10.00 the profit would be $8.00. The drinks are probably the only thing on their menu with a big mark up.

Just means nothings actually working right, a big Mac meal shouldn't be competing price wise with Longhorn.

I've only seen one part of this conflict at the Commanders game without much context but apparently this video actually has some of what happened before

The part that happens before is in the later half starts around :46 is what happens before.  The guy in the black shirt looks like he might have been drunk?  That's me speculating.  Still don't know the full context for how things escalated cause there's a skip  where suddenly he's getting bowled over.

I miss the days of it being new so much... I was there on a regular basis for this show, every day at 2pm Central time. (*or at least later via the vcr "timer record" feature, of course)
