Transformers' Greatest Moments:

The profiles on the G1 toys were condensed versions of Marvel Comics writer Bob Budiansky's  full profiles that ran in TF Universe mini series and the last 3 years of the comic.

While the name "Optimus Prime" was created by legendary Batman writer Denny O' Neil, the profile is by Budiansky himself.

(I love the first part and the last line the most.)

Optimus Prime

Function: Autobot Commander

First Comic Appearance: Transformers #1

"Freedom is the right of all sentient beings."

Profile: If he had been on Earth, he would be a doctor, a mechanic, a scientist and a warrior. But on Cybertron there is no difference between these professions. So Optimus uses his skills to heal and repair- which are the same things to Autobots- to improve the world around him and, if necessary, to fight. Both in power and intelligence, he has no equal. He has the personality of an Abraham Lincoln. He can be immensely kind and his compassion extends to all that lives, including the creatures of Earth. Yet he will battle unceasingly to protect the weak and defend what he believes in. To accomplish this, Optimus knows that the Decepticons must be defeated for all time.

Abilities: In robot mode. Optimus Prime actually splits into three components. The Optimus module is the robotic sentient being that is the storehouse of his vast knowledge and strength. He can lift 4,000,000 lbs. and a blow from his fist exerts a force of 12,000 lbs. per sq. inch. He carries a laser rifle and can burn a hole in the nosecone of a Decepticon jet fighter at a distance of 30 miles, aided by his outstanding visual acuity. His Prime module, also known as Roller, is a small cart-shaped device that he uses to unobtrusively slip behind enemy lines. He can maintain radio control over it at distances up to 1200 miles. Having Roller present somewhere is like being there himself. He can operate by remote-control his Combat Deck module up to a distance of 1500 feet. The Auto-Launcher mounted on the Deck can use a variety of artillery and radiation beam weapons, including most of those used by his fellow Autobots. The Launcher also includes a highly dexterous grapple-arm which allows it to load itself and change its weaponry. The communications disk antenna mounted on the launcher provides a link between Optimus and all his fellow Autobots within a radius of 50 miles. It can be adapted to a satellite hook-up that increases its effective range 10-fold.

Weaknesses: Although Optimus Prime can function as three independent modules, injury to any one of the modules is felt by the other two. Roller is particularly vulnerable, especially in the behind-the-lines situations in which he specializes. However, the Optimus module is by far the most important component of the trio. Although he could survive without the other two, they could not survive without him. Otherwise, the only weakness he could be accused of having is being too compassionate and concerned about the safety of others. He would be a more effective military commander if he were more ruthless, but then he wouldn't be Optimus Prime.

That's a profoundly dumb take;  low income people qualify for multiple subsidies for utility cost.  If the proposal allows those to be eliminated, I'm pretty sure this would save a ton of money in administrative overhead.

And the comment "incentivize people to make less (money)" is the most asinine.  You want to reduce your income to get a cheaper rate on electricity use buddy, I'll happily take your excess.

Chris Christie officially suspends his campaign: “I am going to make sure that in no way do I enable Donald Trump to ever be president of the United States again, and that’s more important than my own personal ambition.”

If only he cared about something other than himself while he was governor.

They are protesting our government aiding Isreal in its assault on Palastine. They don't think some Isreali is gonna wake up to anything, they would like the Biden Admin to stop aiding them. That's the real goal of the protests.

I think those kinds of tweets are funny. "Hey you're in the way, your blocking the road and making things difficult for people." No fucking duh, that's the whole point. That's the point of the protest to make shit difficult so you might have to in some way pay attention.

In some cases you would be right, especially if it is civil issues with in the US but these international rooted protesting such as the issue in Palestine doesn't have an actual goal at all. There is nothing the US can do with what is going on nor should we do anything. People used to protest here about how the USA sticks its nose in the conflicts of other countries now that the US has stopped doing that, these wokes want to protest for them to do something? Which one is it and what do they want the US to do exactly? Do they think Biden is going to call up Netananyahu and say "yo, can you stop that bro.." and Net will go "oh, right i'm sorry.. we will stop this today"?

If they want something to be done then they should fly all the way there and protest, not block traffic and give other people unnecessary problems that could have people needing to go to a hospital, an important event of their loved ones, or having to take a massive shit.

I'm not saying you are wrong on your assessment as to the psychology of these protestors but I can't see anything right about it in circumstances such as the Israel/Palestine situation.

Already gave my opinion about how effective I think this kind of protesting is these days 👍

I'll just leave this here for the comments...

Some of these comments do make sense though. Half of the GenZ parents are (wait for it) GenX. So it does make sense that they get coddled because we GenX folks were mostly latch key kids and had to fend for ourselves and were ignored and shit if you think about. So they're vicariously living through their GenZ kids.

EDIT:

Read some of the replies to this post. I know most of you in elementary school or junior high school had one of those teachers who would go straight up Full Metal Jacket on you or another student over some screw ups.

EDIT again:

You can't make this shit up:

This society, it's like we never had rhythm nor direction. My more nihilistic leaning says just that, but my morality just makes me listen to this more:

This is only because I wish for something more in sentimentality and much less self sabotaging.

It's abstract to differences that separates us, but that historical conflict is over convenient and overexaggerative on how it came to be. It's too difficult for me to accept that most people to believe that authentic connections are a weakness that it clashes with self interest, where materialism is viable living at all costs. Not all of us are in to that.

It's not as bonkers as it sounds. When I was on Obamacare, my income often hovered around the eligibility cap, so if I made a little more, I'd have to work harder to find write offs or just underreport cash income or I wouldn't have healthcare.

Also, poor people don't often know what kinds of subsidies they qualify for.

this maga mass madness needs to stop. enuff is enuff with this shit.

Giving a ton of respect to Engoron cause he's been catching shit since all this started even with him handling Trump with the softest of kid gloves at the start.  And he still gave Trump the chance to make closing remarks in the trial with the stipulation that he just can't go off the fucking deep end and Trump decided not to respond.

Oh believe me, I know!  That's actually another argument for just giving them a lower rate though.

As for Obamacare, yeah that's a program that could be a lot better than it is.  But in your case the price bracket affected whether you'd get insurance at all, whereas this program it's not likely anybody is going to have their power cut off from bringing home a few extra bucks.

Before he was Soundwave, he  was...  CASSETTE MAN!  (No,  he didn't work for Dr. Wily)

Soundwave superior!

The TN law makes clear that hitting them can't be intentional.

Still, when you block rescue vehicles, when you block people from picking up their kids, when you block them from getting to their homes, you're drawing people into your protest against their will, and that isnt right.

In my country you are allowed to take streets as long as it is announced with time, so people can take measures/alternative routes.
You need to make public what roads will be blocked and from what hour it starts and at what hour it ends.

Was supposed to move in my new place tommorow but I'm just now being informed TODAY that it wont be possible due to some last minute shit they found that needs to be addressed

I applaud them for doing that BUT they had a month to have my place ready as i was on the boat for 4 weeks. Maybe I'm trippin but this seems VERY unprofessional to a degree and I'm lowkey pissed. I can never just come home and just relax, there's always some bs or hindrance

FEMALE FRIDAY: buy a chick edition!

Based on how old that photo looks, that was a lot of money at the time, so these clowns were probably just flying to Vietnam and straight up kidnapping women. Their only overhead would be flights to and from Vietnam. That's some devious ass shit. I mean where are they gonna run to. They are in a foreign country and probably don't speak a lick of English.

I read a piece yesterday (written by a socialist of all things) about how blocking streets for protests works in Latin America because of things like what you mentioned here.

He went on to say that here in the US, protesters see the public as an enemy to overcome moreso than a group to ally with and that's the impetus behind blocking the streets even though it doesn't work here.  Was pretty interesting.

hahaha a "BOW movement".  Oddly enough... I've never actually timed how long it takes to shit on average.

Isn't it annoying though, when you're needing to drop that deuce but someone else is already in there doing it too...?  This happened just the other day.  When it's a small bathroom, like only 2 or 3 stalls then I'm moving on to another room.  Imagine...you're in there shitting right next to another dude that's also shitting in the stall next to yours.  Nahhh.  Awkward doesn't even begin to describe that situation of shitting right next to another person that's also shitting...and imagine if the other dude tries to make small talk.....naw, bruh (it's already strange enough that some people will actually say something to the next guy while you're both pissing at a urinal).... it would also be too difficult to not laugh.
