I've come a long way, I didn't respectfully tell this captain to fuck off. Im in the midst of learning a new position so I have to be in the area almost all the time in order to understand the job unless theres something important goin on the boat itself.

Dude came down to tell me about some damn countertops that needed to wiped down, had me scared like the engines caught on fire or somethin. I wanted to tell this fat fuck he could've taken 5 minutes to clean that shit instead of eating Star Crunches and playing Call of Duty in his room all day but I just let him win. Thats growth 😂

(Keep it mind I had like 3 whole hours left in my shift to clean up, there is no exact timeframe as long as u don't leave it for the next shift)

I'd take the fight with prime Tyson; this just ends up with me being KO, which is better than being mauled by a big cat or shot dead from the Spec Ops dude.

*ah then again it is a street fight though....so there's no rules there...unlike a boxing match that doesn't just end once the opponent is down.

I imagine there's a small possibility of winning against the big cat though, if you could score a headshot, perhaps? Or if it's injured enough and you then finish it off with the knife then maybe... yeah in that scenario it's best to try the headshot or at least the chest area where a good shot might slow it down enough...?

...actually the scenario with the big cat might be better, since you're starting with 2 weapons by default there, and thus you have a (small) chance.

I've seen enough Tyson ohko videos to know you could potentially wind up brain damaged getting hit by him, and there's no way I'd be out shooting a spec ops guy so the cat it is.

This kinda reminds me of this other similar thing I heard once:

I'm going to be the weird one and go with "shootout with Spec Ops soldier"

Id probably lose in all 3 cases, so I'm going with the least painful option.

He'd probably do a quick head shot or quick kill.

I classify Tyson and the cat as very unpredictable and savage despite one being an animal and one being a human.

In all honesty, Id probably either miss the cat with the one bullet or succeed in hitting it in some body part that wouldnt cause it to slow down or stop the attack.

Tyson is a human, but he still bit off Holyfield's ear mayne!

Barbados May Seek Reparations from Benedict Cumberbatch’s Family for Owning Slaves in 18th & 19th Centuries

Barbados may seek reparations from Benedict Cumberbatch’s family for owning slaves, as the actor’s ancestors owned a slave plantation on the island during the 18th and 19th centuries.

“Any descendants of white plantation owners who have benefitted from the slave trade should be asked to pay reparations, including the Cumberbatch family,” David Denny, general secretary of the Caribbean Movement for Peace and Integration, told the Telegraph.

If Barbados wins its legal battle, the country will set a precedent by letting its government seek reparations from wealthy descendants of slave owners, like Cumberbatch, whose seventh great-grandfather bought the Cleland plantation in 1728.

The Cleland plantation in Barbados was home to 250 slaves until the British Empire abolished slavery in 1834.

When slavery was abolished, Cumberbatch’s ancestors were reportedly paid thousands of pounds in compensation, which equates to roughly $1.2 million today. At the time, the British government had taken out a loan to pay off slave owners. That loan was finally paid off in 2015.

It remains unclear if Cumberbatch has ever benefitted from the money his family received in the early 1800s.

When asked if descendants of the Cumberbatch family would be pursued, David Comissiong, Barbados’ ambassador to the Caribbean community and deputy chairman of the island’s national commission on reparations, said, “This is at the earliest stages.”

“We are just beginning,” Comissiong added. “A lot of this history is only really now coming to light.”

Cumberbatch is also the son of the actress Wanda Ventham, who had reportedly urged him to change his name before embarking on his acting career, as she feared he could face demands for reparations due to their family’s past connection to slavery.

Richard Drax, a British Conservative politician who inherited his family’s ancestral sugar plantation, is also facing calls for reparations — in the form of giving up hundreds of acres of prime real estate on the island.

If Drax declines to do so, Barbados might then apply for payment from an international arbitration court, the Telegraph noted, adding that any court ruling in Barbados’ favor could set a precedent for the island to begin pursuing other wealthy descendants of slave owners.

Louisiana residents will now need a government ID to access porn online

Pornhub is already asking visitors to verify their ages using their drivers licenses.

A new state law (PDF, courtesy of Motherboard) went into effect on January 1st, requiring websites containing "a substantial portion" of "material harmful to minors" to ask users to prove that they're 18 or older. "Substantial portion," according to the new law, is more than 33.3 percent of a website's content. As Gizmodo notes, Pornhub, Youporn and Redtube have already started asking visitors to verify their age.

Websites that host content that can be considered porn have to implement "reasonable age verification methods," including asking users to present a government-issued ID or a digitized form of it. Pornhub, Youporn and Redtube had chosen to ask visitors to prove their age by using their LA Wallet app, which is the state's digital wallet app for drivers licenses. A video posted on Twitter shows how Pornhub uses the app to check for a user's age.

In the document detailing the law, its authors said: "Due to advances in technology, the universal availability of the internet, and limited age verification requirements, minors are exposed to pornography earlier in age. Pornography contributes to the hyper sexualization of teens and prepubescent children and may lead to low self-esteem, body image disorders, an increase in problematic sexual activity at younger ages, and increased desire among adolescents to engage in risky sexual behavior. Pornography may also impact brain development and functioning, contribute to emotional and medical illnesses, shape deviant sexual arousal, and lead to difficulty in forming or maintaining positive, intimate relationships, as well as promoting problematic or harmful sexual behaviors and addiction."

Speaking to TechCrunch, Olivia Snow, sex worker and research fellow at UCLA's Center for Critical Internet Inquiry, described the need for verification to access porn as "surveillance." She also said that it can harm LGBTQ populations in extreme cases: "As homophobia and transphobia — especially homophobia in the context of porn — is rising, I could totally see the state zeroing in on people consuming gay porn, or lesbian porn, and either surveilling them further or criminalizing that." Critics are also raising security and privacy concerns about having to present IDs to access porn online even if Pornhub promises that one's "proof of age does not allow anyone to trace [their] online activity."

The need for that will be relative to the need for it. It wouldn't surprise me if at some point you needed some sort of verification for creating a new Google account.

I already miss the "old days" of the internet where things were more wild and unrestrained... more raw, freaky and outright disgusting...the era of Gore Gallery, the tubgirl and goatse pictures, and so much more. It won't surprise me if things pertaining to the internet just get drastically worse in every possible way over the next few years.

I got more of my mii characters remade finally... Yakub (the mad black scientist who created white people, according to some old-era Nation of Islam beliefs), Ric Flair, Howard Stern, Deebo and Jewcan Sam.

I wonder sometimes if Nintendo will drop the miis with the next system/era....since they don't really make much use of them in anything, sadly. I want more games that let you use the mii characters. I know there's Miitopia, I think it's called but I'd like an *action* rpg preferably.

The then-teen stars of the 1968 film adaptation of 'Romeo and Juliet' are suing the movie studio for child sexual abuse, more than 5 decades later.

Olivia Hussey, now 71, and Leonard Whiting, now 72, were 15 and 16, respectively, when the film was shot. The two claim they were pressured by the film’s director, Franco Zeffirelli, who passed away in 2019, into participating in a nude scene for the film while underage. They also allege Zeffirelli told them the cameras would be positioned to not show any nudity; however, Whiting’s buttocks and Hussey’s breasts were both ultimately visible in the scene.
