Quit that lame shit and start practicing anime games so @GetTheTables and I can destroy you.

Nah fam, I haven't played a Square Enix JRPG of this caliber in decades.  If I could practice fighting games that I'm not interested in Tekken 7 wouldn't be covered in virtual dust ony PC and actual dust on my coffee table. Still haven't opened the free PS4 copy that came with my Qanba Obsidian.

yeah, it looks like they finally did a *slight* upgrade from the PS2-caliber graphics... so that definitely interests me.  I still have fond memories of EDF2017 on the 360 from way back... sheeeeit, that was over 10 years ago at this point.  I also had 2025 and "Insect Armageddon", which actually did have better graphics than the rest of them...but less stages/missions.

Xenoblade Chronicles 2 DLC is to be commended. $30 for new modes, quests, rare blades, etc. That alone would have been worth it. The Torna expansion is literally a full game and it's also included with the $30 expansion pass. I swear this DLC reminds me of one of those late night infomercials that keeps throwing in more content for "only $19.95!"

I'll have to just get this damn game, man.... because no one will ever remake it or produce a sequel

This could be so damn awesome if remade with today's visuals... but whatever company that still owns the rights is just content to let it sit forever *not* making money, I guess.  Vamp fans at least have Vampyr now, of course... and perhaps Code Vein if it ever comes out at some point in the next goddamn century.

haha, that former IGN reviewer made a video/formal statement on youtube.... I think that's just making it worse... he should've just tried to fly under the radar for a while and wait for the general gaming public to forget it.

*finally I beat a boss (a monster called "The Concierge") on Dead Cells.  Yeah it took quite a while.... I relied heavily on just trying to parry everything with my shield.  That's been my top choice for my secondary weapon, btw the basic shield... then any upgraded shield I find later.  I think that's a bit more valuable in this game than having the arrows or other projectile weapon.  I'm also just now realizing you can even parry/reflect the bombs back to the large pink monsters... I never tried it before, just found that out by accident yesterday.  I also love any of the upgrades that grant increased speed after a kill...that and the "+ ___ DPS" damage boost per kill... it naturally encourages a fast, aggressive play-style, which is something I usually prefer in most games.

On another note--a great look back on Fable (I still loved part 2 overall, even though it had a final villain encounter that was THE worst shit I've seen/played in all my years of gaming):

Going to buy it eventually as I liked the demo.   It just didn't strike me as being worth $60 :coffee:

by Day 3 on Xbox uno, I got the hang of the new style. Games really pushes you to work together and felt like perks do shit now. It's so gun focused which I guess isn't bad but so far each gun felt the same to me. Streaks felt weak and they need to adjust how much you earn in game modes like Dom to make streak more abundant and fun. Game REALLY could use a ground war and they need to bring back Spectre as a specialist. loved shanking peeps from being the lines. I'll be abusing Nomad's trip mines. So many were dumb enough to fall for them. I HATE that they moved streaks off of the left D pad. a small but annoying change.

I'll be using Ajax (his Shield gun combos is stupid good) Nomad, Crash (Free ammo boost is nice) and Torque (Hello new camping class).

I assume you'll get it on a price drop down the line...

I just want it to run well enough in portable mode...like comparable to X1; that *might* be a longshot since Switch seems to be somewhere between 360 and the X1 (it's at least beyond WiiU of course)... there's a lot of factors there, but I just want the gameplay to be smooth, and it to handle a lot of enemies and effects being on screen at once.  If it helped, I'd even rather they have cut the cinematics out entirely if that means it's overall a better D3 experience. (*that would also save big on the file-size, I'm sure... the cinemas in D3 are so damn good it still looks like some scenes you'd expect from the "current-gen" actually.....but imagine how much smaller the game file would be if they weren't there at all?  Sadly I realize they most likely kept them in there.)  Unfortunately I'm betting Switch may have a problem when it's a high-level Greater Rift with tons of enemies and you have 1 or more Wizard or Witch Doctor characters firing off lots of the more flashy spells. 😞  The performance in portable mode is key on this game to me... because if it only will run well in docked mode, what the hell is the point?  One might as well just play the X1 or PS4 version then.

interesting... some general tips for Dead Cells (this game is SO good... I can't get enough):

*finally went hunting and found this song that "GTG" always uses for his intro... I knew it sounded familiar.... I'll never play this game but this is the JAM, man:

I liked the last DOOM game quite a lot.  I'll play this one when it comes out but I'm strangely not as hype for it, even though I do a play-through of the original DOS DOOM games every year or so.

I feel the same way. I think part of it is that part of the magic of the recent DOOM was that it really truly seemed like it would be a shit show right up until it came out and ended up being fucking rad. At this point it seems like a way safer bet that the sequel will be good so its going to be more about getting hands on and enjoying the ride again.

Every time I watch any of the recent DMC5 stuff my blood boils with excitement. It is looking like a real fine entry in the series.
