I always thought about making this vid over the years, but im too close to the subject matter lol.

DSP has already ranted about me in the past.

I'm sure DSP will rant about this video, it would be interesting if he chooses to learn from the video but I doubt it.

Twitter put a hardcap on tweets and now these mofos talking about wanting SRK back.

Boy if these dudes go read those archives...

👀

It would be funny if this twitter nonsense creates a resurgence of the forum format.

Haitani's tier list.  Probably the most qualified of anyone on the current meta since he's ranked every character to Master.

My only potential disagreements with this list are that I still feel like Juri is, for the most part, a better version of Cammy in this game, and Dhalsim may only look weak currently and actually be hiding tech like always.

Manon and JP in A tier seems just right. People whined about them day 1, and still do with JP because he actually won stuff, but the way I see it both of those characters lack the versatility of Luke, Juri, DeeJay, Ken and probably Cammy as well, and also how well they mesh with the Drive System, so they're good and all but I'd reserve the top tierdom for other characters.

Drive Rushing from lights are super versatile as a tool. They let you add extra damage to a stray hit confirm, on St.Lks they are a low commit buffer during footsies. Depending on the situation they make good closers to rounds if you have super meter.

If you can get 30% from a level 3 and 3 drive bars, that's a big ass threat to have around.

I love playing Strive, but I would kill to have a fraction of something like WT in it or any other fighting game. Capcom doing a MKD Konquest mode was the best decision.

I don't like World Tour that much.

Compared to average fighting game single player content it's neat, but I wouldn't say it's actually good.  It's not particularly fleshed out and what's there is pretty bland.  It's basically a tutorial mode that barely has a plot and happens to have a lot of Capcom references in it.

If World Tour was a standalone game it would be getting a horrible reception.  It only gets this much love because it happens to be bolted to a SF game.

I put 50+ hours into that mode just to see where it goes and the answer is that it pretty much goes nowhere -- so I actually agree with him.

Maybe if they continue to update WT it will become something great in the future, but right now I don't find it terribly interesting.

Thanks man.
