BornWinner
My sister and I watched Black Widow last night. Out of everything in front of us, we were absolutely dreading watching this. As unfortunate as the circumstances of it’s release was, we both didn’t really care to watch a movie about her right after her death in Endgame. We watched it thinking the worst, but it was alright. Not bad at all. Aleksy and Yelena were show stealers and seeing this made me like their inclusion in The Thunderbolts a bit more. I did have one major problem with it though. Y’all know what it is. I knew Taskmaster was going to be bad going in, but holy shit I feel like you guys undersold how lame she was. This is X-Men Origins Deadpool levels of bad. The genderswap is the least of the problems with this character. It’s the fact they turned a wisecracking, impersonal mercenary into a wordless, invincible bore of a character. It was also a waste of talent because Olga did nothing as her. This character should have not been named Taskmaster. If they had added Tony without changing him or even did Antonia with a few more changes, I feel like either would’ve made a better villain. Dreykov was lame too. Somehow too cartoonish (you can’t attack me if you can smell me) while also being nothing interesting. Taskmaster was just worse. Also she didn’t even wear a cape. Darc_Requiem
@BornWinnerYeah Taskmaster is terrible. Worse than X-Men Origin's Deadpool. Even in that incarnation, prior to his modification, he at least had a Deadpool like personality. MCU Taskmaster is the worst kind character change. MCU Taskmaster is Taskmater in name only. I'm sure I've missed one but ever incarnation of Taskmaster I've seen out side of comics has been good. MvC3 Taskmaster and Spiderman's Taskmaster were dead on. HD-Man
She Hulk is definitely my favorite of the new Marvel projects. HD-Man
Love and Thunder honestly isn't as bad as I thought it would be. It's definitely not great but it was watchable. That’s just arrogance and he deserved the boot. I don't see it that way, Terrence Howard was a bigger name than Downey in that era, he won an Oscar for Hustle & Flow. That's not arrogance, that's charging what he was worth (at the time atleast). Howard made 8 million I think in the first Iron Man, then they tried to cut him down to 1 million for whatever reason, which was kind of an insult. Since they ain't come to terms, they went with Cheadle for the much cheaper option. That's how business goes sometimes. 🤷🏾♂️ Hawkingbird and OPTIMUS124 2 Quote Link to comment

HD-Man
There's no rule against Marvel reusing actors but in different roles. I'd like to see Howard back, but as a villain. The movie was called Iron Man not War Machine dude thought more of himself then was actually in the role. He wasn't valuable to them and that's the essessment that matters. Now he's teaching fake ass math and peddling in conspiracy theories. You're entitled to your opinion, but Terrance was hot at the time, way more so tho can RDJ. Iron Man was an untested property so they threw an Oscar winner in Howard there, just so happened RDJ killed his role. I don't likely see that Iron Man movie happening back then with just RDJ And I kinda got an idea of why they'd lowball Howard but that's another debate entirely And you should always think highly of yourself and take risks, sure it doesn't always pay off but oh well. Just because others may not see your value that doesn't mean you have non. that's life. Only difference is Hollywood's gamble payed off, Terrance didn't, although he still end up having a good career And that last paragraph was kind of uneccessary, seems a bit personal and not very objective to what we're discussing. So I'm not gonna touch too much into that Edited September 19, 2022 by HD-Man Quote Link to comment
