Wait, really? I knew he and Pertho had beef about certain aspects of SRK and modding styles but I never thought it would be taken actually personally 

 

I didn’t know him too well but we both lived in Seattle. So I’d see him fairly often at tournaments or meet-ups at Gameworks.  He always came off as the nicest dude ever in the FGC when I’d talk to him or heard stories about him before meeting him. 

 

I never had any issues with him outside of when I first started posting on SRK cause I didn’t really know the way of the land.

It certainly makes it easier when familiar people are here to interact with. I'm still keeping tabs on SRK, mainly because Sonic is still there with the breaking vidja game news, and a couple other folks who I haven't seen here like RSG3 and Hawkingbird who I would still like to keep in touch with.

Exactly. I talked about it in the SFV Lounge Discord.

 

The move was inevitable after Perth left. There was pretty much no mods left and the Cannons (who took the ownership after Wiz got blown up) are busy with other stuff.

 

Place is on a clear decline. It was never a matter of if, only when.

 

On the other hand, I haven't read Preppy's side of the story, but I want to advise against blowing him up because we don't know how he'll take it and whether or not he'd try to take revenge on Pertho.

 

I don't think he's worth the trouble. For the most part, we got to move on our own accord to a much better forum. That's what we should be looking at. Some positivity.

Alright, 

 

Look that dude likely got me banned from the FB MvC2 group (which I was going to have to quit because of him). If you want screenshots showing that:

 

1) He sent the first PM.

2) He would continuen the convo after days of me not replying.

3) He said what I characterized as best I could and,

4) I didn't initiate the convo on the night he sent me that foul stuff,

 

 

I have them. I seriously just want tk be left alone. If I have to quit this place too, I'll quit it. That dudr loves putting on airs and doesnt ever act like he fucked up.

 

I made the mistake of contacting him back in February/March. I wanted to ask him some MvC2 stuff. Figured it would just be a way of reconnecting after all the election thread drama. I was over it, still over it, he isnt. The convo quickly turned about that too.

 

I dont think the guy is all there. He just wants SRK. He can have it all. I dont trust that level of crazy.

Look, I made my intentions clear on everything. I made things public because I figured that, after quitting, he'd just see that as some sort of victory and leave me one. d3v didnt do shit while I wad gone either.

 

So I figured that just pressing him openly was the only way to get him to do anything. If you check out my first/second post back, I explicitely said I was posting to get this one issue resolved. I know its a pain to go back and fact check it, but you can since it didnt take place in PMs.

 

I also didnt ask/tell/encourage people to leave SRK either. That happened out of @Vhozite and @Darc_Requiem own volition. I cracked jokes about it, but at no point did I say that they should all boycott SRK. But I did say that the SRK admin lets people slide on b-llshiii. 

 

I dont want people to think I lied, mischaracterized the stuff I said or were somehow decieved into posting here.

 

But I'll still quit it immediately if it ensures I never have to deal with his nonsense again. Got him blocked on FB, on discord, banned from SRK, and if I just have to disappear online, I'll start the process. After crossing that line with me. I just dont trust him. The guy is holding on to some incredibly unhealthy anger and who knows where it leads.

Yeah, no one made me do anything. I did it on my own. People do fucked up things on the internet all the time. However when they skate on it and the target gets punished, I'm not down with that. I wasn't even going to pop off like I did until I saw Pertho got banned. Especially when he was being a bigger person about it than I would have in the same situation.

This site looks far and away nicer than SRK currently does. Shit, I haven't been logged in here since around the time the site was created. Back when SRK was announced to shut down in 2018. In all honesty, migrating to this site just feels like a natural move for anyone that still uses SRK. The people that own and run SRK obviously don't care about it. I've lost count of how many times over the years that the community has been given false promises as far as improving the site. Many people have always been vocal about what would make the place better and it has always fallen on deaf ears.  Even after agreeing to keep the forums going and making changes, the Cannons never followed through. I'll probably continue lurking SRK with the occasional posts every now and then as always. But as far as Mega Shock is concerned, I say bring on the blackjack and hookers!!

Just because it has SRKers doesnt mean it has to be like SRK. Its a brand new place relatively speaking. MisterBee wants it to be nice; he is also very open to suggestions.

 

So I'm happy to contribute, when I think of worthwhile ideas, to keep the tone different. SRK had a certain zeitgeist to it. I felt that it could be reborn...but when the person wanting to lead the charge never had a forum account until recently, that was dead in the water.

 

Its a different GD too. The amazing thing about the latter day lounge was how adult it was (among the silliness obvs). Maybe it all has a different texture to it here.

I kind of want the n word to be edited  ningens

We went against Napoleon's wishes and allied with the rebelling Haitians. Not sure what this has to do with Belgium lol

 

It's a pretty sweet history.

 

Dating back to the Haitian Revolution, the Polish influence started in the town of Cazale. In 1802, Napoleon added a Polish legion of around 5,200 to the forces sent to Saint-Domingue to fight off the slave rebellion. However, the Poles were told that there was a revolt of prisoners in Saint-Domingue. Upon arrival the Polish platoon soon discovered that what was actually taking place in the colony was a rebellion of slaves fighting off their French masters for their freedom.

 

During this time, there was a familiar situation going on back in their homeland as these Polish soldiers were fighting for their liberty from the occupying forces of Russia, Prussia and Austria that began in 1772. As hopeful as the Haitians, many Poles were seeking union amongst themselves to win back their freedom and independence by organizing an uprising.

 

As a result, many Polish soldiers admired their opponents, to eventually turn on the French army and join the Haitian slaves. Polish soldiers participated in the Haitian revolution of 1804, contributing to the establishment of the world's first free black republic and the first independent Caribbean state. For their loyalty and support in overthrowing the French, the Poles acquired Haitian citizenship after Haiti gained its independence.

Preppy is or was super respected by everybody. Banning him because he said some foul shit would've gone over as well as...well the whole April's Fools stuff. d3v saw everything and didn't do shit so fuck him. I ban Preppy and suddenly I have Wiz in my ass going nuts again.

 

Some dude made an alt in SRK saying I said shit in public to rile people up. I absolutely did not do that. Like I said before, d3v ignored all the bullshit in private, I had already made a post saying why I had quit SRK. Since I wasn't left alone, I put all that shit in public where it was safest for me to get it resolved.

 

I can't access my PMs anymore, but d3v basically told me that Preppy didn't see anything wrong with the shit he said to me. Any guilt he may feel about it, he only feels because he is basically pretending. I didn't expose him at any point during either the first post saying I quit or the entire time I was pressing d3v in public.

Either way, if you want to see the screenshot of what he actually said and following what, let me know.

 

 

When I saw he thought I was insulting his family, I apologized and fucked off. When I saw he still thought I was insulting his family, I apologized and fucked off. He has been harassing me via the forums since then. This lead to threats being issued my way. When I begged and begged d3v to stop the harassment, eventually d3v stepped in. d3v has gotten trampled over trying to help. I have not contacted him and have no plans to. I have tried to do the right thing here and remain being fucked off.

 

Dude this lying ass sociopath. This is why I don't want shit to do with him. At no point did I threaten him. I have screenshots to prove it. I never threatened him in PMs on SRK or in discord. You want discord logs and screenshots form the last convo I had with him? I'll provide them. Hell, I'll scroll through them on OBS and record it on video so you know I'm not lying.

 

This guy is off his rocker.
