Congrats Inferno.

Off topic, this writers strike will suck, but I wonder if it'll be as bad as the last one. The landscape has changed a lot since then.

I think the writers are overplaying their hand. It's a recession, companies are looking to cut cost. For example, I've noticed Netflix increasing getting content from South Korea.

Side Note: A couple of those Korean shows are legit.  Saw a cool movie with a bunch of assassins, can't recall the title at the moment.

I *finally* checked out some of that show Love, Death & Robots and it's goddamn incredible stuff... a shame that probably is not on 4k disc anywhere.  I'm still just on the first of the 3 volumes... I forgot if it started at 3 or 1... sometimes the last volume or season of something is at the top of the list, I've noticed.... the last one I saw was about some soldiers who were presumably on another planet and they get overrun by little metallic spider creatures... until there's just 2 of them left and they meet up with some giant demonic looking thing that wants to be set free.  It's non-stop amazing shit going on here... a shame that the episodes are all just short-form, 1-shot episodes.....though it kind of reminds me of the way "Liquid Television" was back in the 90s.

I'm just guessing since I think companies are greedy, but they probably have more than enough funds to pay writers better or avoid trying to reduce writer pay in any way. They just chisel because of greed.

They absolutly have more then enough money to pay the writers more, actors get paid more every fucking year but can't find pennies for the people who find the pretty words for the actor to say so they sound good.

An interesting point is that many of the streaming services have such low episode counts that writers have trouble supporting themselves throughout the year

It's crazy how 13 eps was the standard 8-10 years ago and now 8 is.

People like to criticize stand alone episodes but I like having a mix of them and serialized ones that push the main plot forward.

Oh they are definitely greedy. That said, I think this is poor timing. WB and Disney have been tightening their proverbial belts. To me, you strike when a companies are raking in tons of cash. Striking then would jeopardize their gravy train. As it stands, they are already looking for ways to cut back.

the worst part about (especially in animation) is that companies will studios and actors x amount of dollars for however many seasons and then stretch it out into more seasons so that the company makes more but the studios/artists don’t.

One of the most recent cases I can remember is Netflix’s Cuphead. A lot of the animators were very vocal on various social medias talking about Netflix splicing up their work into more seasons than they were paid to produce.

There are so many people out here who do not need to have guns anywhere in their vicinity...really wish there was like a Rorschach test for certain people's personalities that would immediately disqualify them from having a firearm

God I feel bad for anybody fucking delivering packages cause it's only a matter of time before some fucking ass hole ends up shooting at an Amazon employee.

Edit: Apparently this dude tried to explain his behavior and made it worse...then decided he's just gonna double and triple down

You can take a shitty script and put a bunch of CGI and big name stars with it and people won't care. And because writers are faceless for the most part and the actors are what sell it, the actors getting  paid more is an easier sell than paying writers more, especially since there's a lot of garbage writing out there to the point that people are noticing it more.

But this is a case of streaming is doing to the movie and tv industries what it did to the music industry; you have a bunch of people fighting for a bigger slice of a shrinking pie.

Professional modeling graduation is one week away from me. I'm glad I've finally started to take the time to attempt to take these long haul classes. The voice over, dancer, singer, and SAG AFTRA acting are next.

I won't be doing non union projects anymore. Surprisingly, I'm considered to be very marketable and profitable from both Utah and California, since I was in alot of projects here in Nola. They were the ones who suggested these courses to me. We'll see how this goes. I'm under two talent agencies so far.

Far from an ideal passion, oh well.

a girl with kids is like starting off playing another man's saved game.

I've been telling you guys the best and most realest solution for your relationship problems, and i get hated for it. Why stay watching porn at this age when there are so many fat ugly girls out there just waiting for you?

Has it ever occurred to you that some fat women don't want those porn watching men? Or that it's possible that nature is working as intended and those men and fat ugly women are meant to be removed from the gene pool? Food for thought! 🤔

God I love my crockpot. Just throw some shit in there and come back next year when its ready to eat lol

Pepper Steak and Rice on the menu today 😋

Work from home really changed how I feel about my crockpot.

Having to smell delicious food cooking that won't be ready for 4+ when you're trying to work is a little slice of hell 😅

All the reports of rampant crime are truly an embarrassment for this society, imo....when you have a justice system that is generally an ineffective joke, the breakdown of a typical family structure + the reality that the dumbfuck trash of society tends to just outbreed normal, respectable people.... leading to more generations of dumb kids with zero respect for any authority growing up to be miserable shits that are destined to cause trouble later.... basically that's the results you get.... more reasons that the USA is a pathetic clown show for the rest of the world to constantly laugh about.

I hope the hostile aliens arrive sooner rather than later.  I genuinely hope that I'm still around to see that day when it happens....I'd hate to miss out on having a front row seat to that show.

emptyeyes sorta remind me of clayton chapman.

Clayton, if it's who I think you're talking about, was absolutely insufferable with all his humble bragging. Where emptyeyes is just telling us what's up, Clayton would be like "Haha, it's hard out here for a good looking guy who gets a lot of chicks because he's a model and is good at Marvel, believe me!" Like gtfo breaux.

I'm too much of a cringe and crazy mother fucker in comparsion, but i don't know. Lol.

I do find Chapman interesting in context of his discreet rebellious and arrogant attitude, which he should just be honest about and own it.

I can be very egotistical and arrogant though, but it was a compensation development outcome growing up, due to being looked as very different and unwanted.

So, I figured I should accept myself or continue to being enslaved by someone else's philosophy way of living out of a history of self hate and deducted health.

OK recovered a bit more so time for WOMEN WEDNESDAY!

Profesional Edition!

I'm going to go ahead and call bullshit because if the guys did joke with her you know she'd narc them out to HR immediately.  I've found the practice of treating women like Russian Spies to be the best policy in my professional life.  It takes them a LONG time for them to convince me they are one of the cool ones before I say much of anything to them.

How recklessly, stupidly, fuc my life and everyone else's yolo fast do you have to be going. To slam on the breaks and still drift clean across the median, and across all lanes of traffic to slam into a parked car? If that car wasn't there he drifts clean through that rail into the woods flipping over.

Only about 60-80 mph honestly.
