She is being criticized because she's black.. Because it also plays up to those steriotypes they have been fed by the media.

She is not being criticized because she is black, that is some dumb reductive shit to take away from the criticism that most people have against her characterization.

The fact that most people who criticize her actually like her and think that she can be fixed since they feel is an oopsie from the writers by making her say that she knew invalidates that whole race nonsense.

 

Also, just right now, we are having a similar character being criticized for being all about me me me, with Teela, and she is not black.

That character type is not exclussive for black women, or just women.

 

We have seen it plenty of times in multiple media, not just from usa, but like in anime, latin american productions like movies, telenovelas, korean doramas, etc, since is an easy character flaw that can be used to highlight something a character needs to grow from or create drama.

 

Fucking hell, most Telenovelas villains be men or women usually have this kind of flaw, which is what moves them to try to fuck with the protagonists.

Or many disney villains like Gaston, who is so narcisistic that he thinks that he owns Bella.

 

So yeah, not the case.

Case in point.

The moment she goes back to Mark, she says, "I guess both of us were lied to", circling back to herself, and the worst, comparing Mark lying to her about his secret identity (something completely reasonable, since at most they have been only dating for like 5 months) to him being lied by his father }his whole life, all while being subjected to hell.

All while framing it in a way that makes Mark once again the villain to say it in a way, since she was after all, lied.

 

Hell, you could say that the 1st red flag was when she said she considers herself a  4th wave feminist 🤣

Is fucking genius.

ohooooo... I didn't know there was a race-swap in play here... those are always amusing to me 🤣  ...and yes, I'm of the opinion that this shit is ridiculous no matter what kind of swap we're talking about....it's always just silly and stupid, imo.

sidenote---the new designs for Beastman and Mossman are awesome, tbh.

 

I also like this visual design concept for making Adam physically different.  It makes more sense that he's a frail, average-build human at first and then gets drastically buffed by the "Power of Greyskull"....this also makes it more believable that no one would know that this guy is really He-Man.

At least this time, the excuse is because it was about the merits of the actors/actresses selected and wanting to reflect their race in the chars themselves, that while kind of novel, i think it sets this dumb idea that you can only do voice work for chars that are your own race.

Which i know is something that the leftards have been trying to push for a while.

Hilarious because if it should happen, it would left a lot of the turds in the industry pushing it for brownie points withot jobs, since many of them are not japanese and are doing voices for mostly japanese chars in anime, lol

ohhh...and the funny thing... I thought the extreme lefty loonies out there wanted the voice actors to match perfectly?  By their thinking, isn't Tiffany Smith not quite brown-enough for this race-swapped, very chocolate Andra?  That character is like Lupita Nyongo-level blackness there.  I would've assumed those people would have a problem with that, but I guess not. 🤣  She was accurately cast to play Megan Markle's ol "one drop rule" lookin fine ass. 

 

The world is certainly an entertaining place because of these people; it's fun to laugh at them, really.  You know I'm REALLY looking forward to this upcoming era of X-men whenever Disney finally gets that ball rollin'.  ...but I'm looking forward to it for all the wrong reasons. 😆  I'm always wondering what's next too...

 

...maybe an animated miniseries of Double Dragon... but 1 of the Lee brothers is black and gay, and it's Marian that ends up having to go save both Lee brothers, and she is shown to be a 10x better fighter than either of them.

 

...Silverhawks reboot where Bluegrass is now a fat non-binary black person that raps instead of playing the guitar.  Stargazer is now a chubby hispanic woman.

 

M.A.S.K. - Matt Tracker is now "Madeline Tracker" instead, and non-binary.  Their son is autistic.  Miles Mayhem is also a woman as well, obviously.

 

At some point in the future, a new remake of Dragonball Z will have Goku and Vegeta both getting their asses kicked by Bulma.  She's already a genius but this time... she will also be better at fighting too....and for no apparent reason...and with no training from anyone.  She single-handedly defeats Freeza without even trying, unsure why everyone feared him so much.  The only other characters on her level will be Videl, Android 18, Chi-Chi, and Kefla, obviously.  Even Gods of Destruction like Beerus fear these ladies....and there is no logical reasoning behind it, this is just what will be presented to the audience.  Also, Gohan will be confirmed to be pansexual, bi, questioning and asexual....yes, all at the same time.  Goten will be a furry.

I am not surprised it is being cancelled but it was a shocker a few years ago when I found out they were still making new episodes. Not going to lie loved the books and the first few seasons when I would check it out way beyond the age of the target audiences I liked it

For me it was when a friend of a cousin, mentioned the word hentai when asking me if the nude pics i drew (being a horny 13yo and all) about sailor moon, dbz and other animes were inspired by it.

And of course that prompted me to search hentai about the animes i watched, and then discover original hentai content.

 

I don't really remember which was the 1st movie, but it could either be Urotsukidoji or La Blue Girl.

What is interesting is that not many know that there were 2 sequel series,  Lady Blue and La Blue Girl Returns.

 

Also, fun fact, back in the day, the manga on wich the ovas are based was not sold on usa, but instead Eros (i think it was the name of the editorial that brought most of the hentai at the time) made an original comic.

 

Which is interesting, since they brought other more extreme stuff like Bondage Fairies and Super Taboo 🤣

heh, Urotsukidoji was probably the first hentai I watched....I still have a dvd of 1 of the movies--"Legend of the Overfiend".  heh, the memories man.... that movie of course was the origin of my constant references to "The Chojin power." and all that jazz, and it would be an ongoing in-joke with my best friend at the time....randomly quoting that shit

"Negumo is the Chojin....we are no match for him...his power....it's JUST.......too much."

That era was still just all around better, imo....back in the 90s, you could easily find dvds of pretty much anything, and you had a lot of options- -- Tower Video/Music/Books, FYE, Best Buy and Circuit City, I think even Comp USA had a tv/movie section...?  Options all over the place to get all kinds of shit... even lesser-known or obscure stuff like the Puppet Master sequels, or Evil Toons (no one has heard of Evil Toons but me 😆).  All you needed was a working device that plays dvds, and the disc....and there was several options to copy the shit so you can have backups when/if the original gets scratched.  The era of physical media was superior in almost every conceivable way, imo.  Sad thing is that there is no hope---the various companies in the industry of tv/movies and gaming are wanting to push hard towards an all streaming future for reasons that should be pretty obvious, imo ($$$$)

 

man....even as recently as the early 2000s when I was new at my job... on a typical day after getting home from work; I'd walk over to Tower Video (my first apartment was in an awesome location in walking distance of a lot of good spots like that, a comics/collectibles shop, my favorite burger place, etc.) and browse the tv/movies section.

 

oh yeah---there was another one we rented around the same time called Ogenki Clinic, and at the time, it was THE funniest shit I had ever seen....there was several moments where I had to pause it to recover from cracking up 🤣

I assume they mean it’s the first ever canon content they’ve made ever since the new studio was made this year. Not the first ever canon stuff that was made outside the cartoons.

Well, I have to say that Glitch Techs }has surely delivered on what i was expecting from the show.

It has really good animation, and love the character designs and the characters are really enjoyable to watch, since the dynamics between them don't feel forced and are actually entertaining.

 

Dunno how they pulled it out, since both chars despite being hyper at times during the episodes, they don't tire you.

 

 

And i need to stress, i really fucking love the artstyle and character designs.

Specially on the action scenes, since they have good composition and flow.

 

Also, the OST is fucking good.

Well, yesterday was movie night, so i watched All the Hotel Transylvania trilogy and Kung Fu Panda Trilogy, and i have to say that 

A) Forgot how different HT1 was aesthetically from HT2 and 3

B) After rewatching KFP2, i no longer considered bad, since i like it a lot this time, but i still think that KFP2 is the best of the whole trilogy.

Now i think that is only flawed, since imo, the 3rd act drags the KFP3 down and damages a little the potential it had.
