Tim Pool is a complete shit head. Someone has to deck that guy in the head. He looks like pot smoking bum who tries to skateboard  to catch attention regardless of how much he sucks at it. He's likely a guy who always has phlegm come out of his mouth while he coughs and doesnt bother to wipe his chin after. 

 

Fuck that guy. I hope some one gets a roll of bread and just slaps him in the face for being stupid and useless. We should stop getting these guy rich off of social media, they have no right at all to be living better than various homeless people out there who have actual skills and talent but piss poor luck in getting a job. 

He has no talent, no skill, very unintelligent, and is also highly unattractive so him being able to make a decent living is absurd.

Both me and my dad. I was messed up for a week, tried to isolate as best as I could, but it wasn't enough. My dad got got 3 days later. Now that was pretty bad. He needed to spend a night at the hospital because he got a pneumonia because of it. It's taking a long time for him to get back to 100%, but he's already feeling a lot better.

Biden then turned to his message for Russian oligarchs, some of whom the United States and its allies have already announced sanctions against in response to the invasion.

“Tonight I say to the Russian oligarchs and corrupt leaders who bilked billions of dollars off this violent regime: No more,” he said. “I mean it.”

 

Biden announced that “the United States Department of Justice is assembling a dedicated task force to go after the crimes of Russian oligarchs. We’re joining with our European allies to find and seize their yachts their luxury apartments your private jets. We’re coming for your ill-begotten gains.”

He added of Putin, “He has no idea what’s coming.”

Does anyone know anyone here who actually takes Joe Rogan's advice on COVID/Vaccines? We've got a very small group of people here for a sample size, but I'm curious. I lost a lot of respect for Rogan in the wake of the COVID shit, but am still convinced that not a lot of people are actually listening to him. If they're anti-vax after listening Rogan, they were anti-vax before too. But am I right there? Does anyone know a person who was "converted" after listening?

Rogan isn't anti vax tho. The people saying he is have never listened to anything but cherry picked, out of context soundbites on him, which is why they think he's anti vax. The whole situation is a perfect illustration of how people will stick with what they want to/are told to believe even though it's easy as hell to find evidence to the contrary. And a lot of those folks are the ones crowing about "believing the science." Can't make this shit up.

In the same vein, Rogan rarely brought on guests that had the supporting argument. On the show he has made a case for getting the shot, but he's not stupid. Controversy creates streams, streams make money.

Defund was meant to take a bit of the excessive funds law enforcement receive and put it into education and other extra positive community programs. As we know, poverty usually has a correlation with crime, neighborhoods with great educational programs, etc generally tend to have less crime,

 

that's kinda the idea behind defund. Not rape the resources of law enforcement, just take some of that and properly allocate into those neighborhoods to give them a better chance at succeeding, thus helping cut down on crime in the process

 

Ppl get too caught up in the word "defund" instead of digging deeper in what the phrase "Defund the Police" actually means. It's not about stripping the police of their funds or eliminating them, it's about gettin more resources into the ppl they're supposed to protect and addressing systemic policing as a whole

 

I suppose they could pick a better word than defund tho

Black neighborhoods were the hardest hit by the "defund movement." From what I understand, black folks in Minneapolis were the reason the defund initiative was defeated. I'm no huge fan of the cops, but you don't get a better trained force by cutting a bunch of money out of their budget, you have to direct the funds better and create mandates for that training. Having mandates that officers be highly trained in jiu jitsu or judo, and having some that go through extensive psychology/counseling training would be ways I think the money could be well spent.

 

 

Expecting better policing with half the money is champagne taste on a beer budget, and most of the people in favor of defunding the police are people who live in areas where they've never had to call them.

I agree. Yet we all know that if you campaign slogan sucks, your movement has an uphill battle. As mentioned, there's more nuance than just saying "defund the police". The issue is that it's not conveyed very well especially when there is the extremely vocal minority who thinks police need to have their budgets wiped and departments abolished.
