If the government would stop trying to prop them up, the market would be all true better for it, but we've been living under terrible financial policies for so long that people actually think the things I just mentioned are "capitalism."  They aren't. They anti capitalism really.

The ethical issue is that they have bought and paid for, and thoroughly corrupted the government, to where the government does their bidding, and passes laws accordingly.

 

Which IS end-game Capitalism.

The "Don't Jump" Scenario was exactly it.  They were over lava and Kenobi had jumped onto the larger land mass after a light saber battle on a smaller platform.  Anakin maybe could have jumped further away from where Obi Wan was but anything that he did from that platform was going to predictable with Kenobi on high alert.  Anakin at this point had been high on his own supply so Obi-wan told him don't fuck around and find out.  Anakin decided he was going to find out.

Maul should not have been taken by surprise.

 

He was in the heat of a battle. And Force users... can sense opponents, life force, etc, et al.

 

Star Wars got 2000s Marvel fast and loose with its canon, in the Prequels.

Not exactly the same situation but pretty close.  Maul def should have snagged Kenobi out of the air when he jumped out of the pit but the difference in this is that Maul was messing around when he should just sealed the deal at that point.  He had him in a bottomless pit with no saber and he just putz around waving his saber and making sparks.  Maul was completely overconfident at that point and not expecting anything.  Kenobi straight up told Anakin don't try shit.  Anakin didn't have any surprise saber bs to pull out since it was already in his hand and he was the one being over confident in a situation that he had the disadvantage in.

I mean, the very first time we see Force shenanigans... Luke is blindfolded parrying a laser bot.

 

Even an untrained noob like Luke got it right Sex Panther of the time, on his first go.

 

And the robot wasn't even alive to make that Force perk easy.

 

Clearly a trained Sith ought to have known what was up.

I mean as much as I hate this scene...clearly the Sith have a trouble with being over confident in situations if Snoke is anything to go by.  Dude can force choke and drag a person from way whereever the fuck he was in another ship but he can't seem to sense what's going on in the very same room he's in when he thinks he has everything under control.

Edit: I would also argue while both are emotional in the moment, one of them is still clearly far more level headed and still thinking while the other one is going on raw emotion and pure gut response and isnt really thinking about anything he is doing or else yea...he would has used his abilities to see jumping right then was a stupid ass idea. 

 

Thats what i would argue anyway. Super powers arent super helpful when you dont really tap into their full potential and just flail around like a brat having a temper tantrum which....well...

They just showed the cast of a Resident Evil...and of course Wesker is black now (Lance Reddick).  OF COURSE 🤣  These days, I guess if you're a redheaded white actor, or a blonde white actor, you can either get a tan and dye your hair or just pursue a different career since acting isn't in the cards for you people anymore, apparently.

Imagine you get a white male actor to play Superman....BUT the dude happens to be 5'4 and 378 lbs. of sloppy fat.  NO one would take this Superman film seriously... they'd assume you were making a comedy version, because this fatso actor looks absolutely nothing like Superman.

this. Maul plotted and planned for years on how to take out Kenobi and how to take out the sith who betrayed him.  However, it was all still based on rage. It’s why he got OHKO’ed by Kenobi in Rebels.

I agree that's an ethical issue too, but corruption is a dance for two and only happens if both parties agree to do it. Bribing elected officials is no more end game capitalism than bribing referees is end game basketball, but it's a function of the corruption that both sides have allowed to happen.

 

I know we'll never agree on this topic so I'll leave it there.

It's promising more consistent 0-60 times and better cold weather performance.

 

 

Elon Musk detailed all the new features that give it extra quickness and range. It also demonstrated the performance in person to several journalists to show what 0 to 60MPH in 2 seconds looks like. 

Musk emphasized that the Model S Plaid is not just quick, but will offer repeatable performance thanks to a new heat pump and radiator that's twice as big. "You'll actually be able to do back-to-back 0-to-60s, go on the track, just haul ass," Musk said. "This car can do it over and over again and it doesn't get winded." 

 

On top of that, Tesla said the new heat pump delivers 30 percent more range in cold weather while using 50 percent less energy for heating. "You'll see very little degradation in cold weather," according to Musk.

He also reiterated the performance features and specs, noting that it can hit 0-60MPH in 1.99 seconds, go through the quarter mile in 9.23 seconds and hit up to 200MPH, thanks to the new 1,020 peak horsepower tri-motor system. Man, I'm so fucking salty right now. The cover of my shark fin antennae is gone. You can't just buy the cover. You have but the whole and antennae. Which $335 fucking dollars and it costs $250 to install because they have to remove the headliner. 😡 I'm glad I'm old, because this is the type of shit that would have cause me to drink back in the day and end up doing something dumb 😑

Poor Ani.  He was going for the dive kick but didn't charge enough.  He ended up floating in the air for obi-wan to cut him down.  Years later he did work on his ground game though.

looking good yo.  Could you pass me one or two of them?  It's hours later and I'm STILL too weak to actually cook anything to eat.  Water bill gonna get that work until my body feels better.

 

Update:  I got back from the endoscopy with some interesting news.  Apparently, my body can STILL react to needles even when I'm fully unconscious.  When they started, my pulse and heart rate were both normal.  The throat scope went down as expected.  When they tried to hit the south end, apparently my heart rate and pulse went back to my drinking days and scared the shit out of them.

 

EDIT:  What I meant by going back to my drinking days is dangerously high on both sides.  

 

....................and yes, I laughed at the doctors saying it scared the shit out of them.  "Believe me pal.  After making a whole day of drinking laxative, I am well acquainted with the emptiness you now feel.  Let us suffer together."

 

Jokes aside, I wasn't expecting this much weakness after the event.  Just DAMN.  walking to the bathroom felt like I dragged a plow across a field of boulders.  In fact, the weakness and minor pain all reminds me of a very unpleasant past feeling:  That of being hungover.  

 

Thankfully, I had the foresight to buy an extra gatorade and now I'll be sipping on that until my strength returns, but there may be more for me to deal with than just walking slowly for a day.  I may or may not have sleep apnea.  The doctor said that's the reason they had to wake me up early.  I'll try to get with the VA to see what I can see.

 

The worst part of all:  No big booty nurses in skimpy outfits.  Porn has lied to me again. Damn it all.
