I had no interest in the game honestly, then I made the mistake of checking out the demo. I advise anyone on the fence to not play the demo unless you want to spend $70 after it's completion.

Yeah I took a look at it a couple of days ago and signed up for the hell of it. The setup is very similar to Twitch to be honest. Saw a few people streaming SF6 actually.

Mixer did basically nothing to attract people to its platform, it's MS entire issue. They got big being the only operating system provider worth fuck for decades and have coasted on that since. They don't know how to sell product, attract people to their product. They never have.

I forgot that FF16 was out so soon... right when I'm hopelessly addicted to Diablo again now with part 4 (*while still enjoying part 3, btw).  It would be nice if I could afford an early retirement just to have the time for playing all this greatness.  

 

*interesting---apparently it will be on PC at a later date... of course if the Steam Deck can run it then hell yeah I'll get it on that....but on PS5 the time is now....(06/22 apparently)

 

...but now, back to the world of Diablo 4 I go... no time for anything else at the moment.

To be fair to him, the Switch has a massive playerbase.

Holding it up for the next gen console is a gamble.

 

Lets remember that Ubisoft where one of the few to support the WiiU and it didn't pay off for them.

So perhaps their decision was in part motivated by this.

Pikmin 4

Maybe a sneak peak at whatever DLC they might have cooking for TotK but it might to early for that.

Things I want:

Ppdate on Prime 4.  It's been 4 years since the restart now.  Console is in sunset years and I stated a long time ago that this game was either going to mark the end of the Switch, mark the beginning of the new console, or both.  So I think  it's about time for an update at this point.

Prime 2 and 3 remasters announced.  We're pretty sure this is happening in some capacity so at it'd be great to have all 3 of these games available beofore 4's launch.

Chrono Trigger Remake AND Super Mario RPG remake.  One game that should have been remade a long ass time ago and 1 that I didn't think we'd ever see in any type of remake capacity.  If I had to choose 1 gun to head it'd be the latter ONLY because of the significance of what that could mean.  If we're getting an actual full blown remake of SMRPG and Squeenix is helping to make it then that means that they're relationship has now fully mended to the point that they're ok with working with Squeenix again on their bigger IP's...this also potentially means potential sequel...something that I think most of us would thought would happen.  This also would be be like Alpha Dream got sacrificed so that SMRPG2 could happen.  I'd be happy with either happening though.

Xenoblade Chronicles X port/remaster.  It's time..I don't want to hear anymore excuses from Monolith.  They finished XBC3 and it's DLC.  TotK is out and you prob don't need as many people working on the DLC.  It can be done.  JUST DO IT.

F-Zero GX port/remaster.  This has been rumored for a minute to the point that there's been too many smoking guns.   I don't think it's a matter of if but when at this point.

Long shot:

Twilight Princess/ WWHD port.  This should have been done ages ago.  Pretty sure it's going to happen but I don't think it's going to happen this close to TotK's release.  I think this won't happen until next year.

I like the art style on that new Super Mario game at the end...

 

It would be nice if Wario finally got what I'd consider a *real* game again...not a mini-game sort of thing but something like Wario World from the Gamecube era.  Imagine if they would continue that one on the Switch.

 

*Diablo 4 update--- level 63 at this point on Necro; I have 2 regions fully completed in terms of the "renown".  I doubt most of the fans want to go thru unlocking that again because it takes a long time to do all those things for the various regions of the world.

Because Rocksteady isn't the developer and it's dumb. The gameplays just like Arkham City. Does it break new ground? No? Is it bad game? No. It was good but not great game. It doesn't warrant the vitriol. If they lied and said Rocksteady developed it, I bet it would be well thought of.

I've never really got around to Arkham Knight, so I can't fairly compare them. That said, just based on how I've heard people talk about Arkham Knight, it seems like Origins is a better game.

Honestly, feel like half this Direct probably was or should have been planned to drop around the time of the Mario movie. 

 

But damn all these remakes/remasters got me feeling like Nintendo is really out here stalling for time before they can announce and release the next system. 

 

And the fact that we don't get a new F-Zero or Star Fox still irks me. Fucking cowards

Yeah I wish we would have got both SMRPG and Chrono Trigger remakes because Chrono Trigger is overdue for it.  I was talking to a friend of mine who was saying that he would rather Squeenix not touch the game cause he believes the game is perfect as is and he's afraid of Squeenix messing it up.  I don't blame him for thinking this way either but they really only need to punch up the graphics of the game and put it in the 2.5d style that Octopath and those games have.  That's it.  They'll get new people interested in the game and it would satisfy the old school fans.

Been trying to get caught up on everything from the direct now and got to the Sonic Superstars segment and really wanted dude to be quiet so I can hear Tee's track in the background.  So fucking happy we're getting more Tee Lopes Sonic music.

 

Also crazy how I was kind of indifferent about a new 2D Mario game but they manged to put the drugs back into the game so now I'm back on board.  Artstyle is very interesting and actually having Daisy playable in a 2D game is gonna make her fans happy.  Maybe I can actually trick my wife into playing game with me now so she can learn how to actually 2D platform.

 

Interested in that Penny's Big Breakaway game.  Being made by the people who did Mania makes sense since the color aesthetic looks like it came straight from that game.  Tee also confirmed he's doing music for that game too.

 

Metal Gear 1, 2, and 3 on the go is great.  Don't know if i'll pick up that collection but I can't remember...did the previous trailers for this collection have vol.1 in the name?  I feel like that was just added.  Which means they might actually pull 4 off of the PS3 in the future...that should be interesting.

 

Arkham collection on the go is great too...kiiiinda worried about what concessions they had to make to get Knight running on Switch though.  I noticed the dev is not one of the usual suspects that make miracles happen on this console so Gonna be interesting to see how that works out.

They literally just need to Live A Live it if they end up doing it. That remake was perfect apparently.
